Hi I saw on your website the "212" PowerPack Deluxe! With more reductions since I have the intention to build a trailer mouver with reverse need for slow speed 😊 I didn’t check the reduction on cvt system at lowest speed 😊
@Kebekwoodcraft7375 Another cool project for the PowerPack! OK, here it goes... You get 6.5:1 chain reduction with a 12T drive and 78T driven sprocket. That gets bumped up to 8.19:1 due to the internal gearbox reduction. If you use the jackshaft kit, 3X that! That would give you gear reduction of over 24 : 1 Your CVT will give you 2.63:1 on low gear, so you can achieve a ratio of 64:1!!!
I have a Tao quad I had small block on it took it off now want too go to big block and 40 series gear box but going to be a few months before I can get it I would like to be a tester for the power pack
I want to build a 4x4 cross cart with IRS I was looking at potentially getting a sportsman 850 transmission and hooking a 100hp vtwin to it but this is a option now too hmm
What annoys me is the gearbox is rated for 20 or so horsepower yet you have to run a 530 chain and you run an oddball sprocket so you can't find one that will fit to run a normal 420 size chain.
Yeah, I'm sure somebody will make a 420 sprocket as this gearbox gains popularity. Until then, we stuck with the 530. Lots of motorcycle sprocket options. Some sprint cars using with the 5.25 split bolt pattern/ 530 combo..
Thanks so much. I didn't know much about gearboxs till I watched this. Getting ready to do an electric to gas swap on a golf cart.
Good Luck with your project! Let me know if I can help.
Man I’ve been looking for years for stuff like this , looking forward to the irs stuff great job 😮
Great vid bro!
Easy to follow and full of useful information for even a novice like me!!!❤
Thank you kind sir! Glad you found it useful!
Hey Thanks, glad you found it helpful!

It's nice to have options! Hope A PowerPack can be part of your solution.
Does a manual clutch with a lever exist for this type of engine (like the Honda GX)?
Not that I know of, but if you find one please post it here!
Does either of them use a chain inside like the old Foote transmissions. Or are they all gears?
Good question. Not familiar with those.

Hey did you try to look up a torque converter sprocket to fit also, where is this gearbox you are talking about? It is exactly what I need.
How much speed is lost using this?
Hard to say, but you will go way faster in reverse!
When going forwards, basically none. They have 1:1.3 ratio forwards and 1:2.6 in reverse.
