No, he needed it to keep up with his time skip but Hit didn’t use it in this fight. He himself said he wasn’t going to use the same trick again.

Goku reminds me of Korra, both share similar personalities. He's loves fighting and gets frustrated when things don't really go his way but his persistence changes everything around.

7:18 - Hit's ability as an Assassin is actually pretty terrifying in context. Pretty much from the outside point of view, the target just dies and nobodies the wiser.
10:06 - It's not just a matter of getting stronger, but that Hit wasn't holding back this time. Remember back in the Tournament, Goku noted Hit had to hold back his full skills since he's an Assassin who's skills are suited towards killing, which back in the Tournament, wasn't allowed. As seen right now, there's a notable difference when he actual goes for the kill.

What you experienced was hit fighting without worrying about killing someone... this is the wish goku nearly had granted when they vs universe 6. also another thing is that although we follow our heroes, the rest of the world moves like normal and its probably best if the kids dont end up like goku lol

We're not misunderstanding his character, we KNOW that he doesn't want to fight. That doesn't make him not trash. Everybody goes on and fucking on about Gohan wanting to live a normal life as if he's not the only line of defense against Freeza right now. Freeza could decide to kill Goku and Vegeta at any moment he wishes to, but nooo, Gohan's family life is more important than the fucking multiverse. I'll never understand it.
