Son is a title in japanese, saiyans have no last name

@@geryeh5298 I can see the confusion with Son being a title, as Japanese puts the family name before the individuals. In English, his name would be Goku Son, but that doesn't really roll off the tongue.
Yeah Son isn't a title, It's Goku's last name, that even Gohan and Goten keep, Son Gohan and Son Goten. He get's it from his grandfather and thats why he has a last name and Vegeta does not, unless he took Bulma's.

Goku does have a surname. It's Son, as in Son Goku. His name is the Japanese reading of Sun Wukong's name, the main character of Journey to the West on which the first arc of Dragon Ball was loosely based on, and it's the name his adoptive grandfather gave him when he landed on Earth as a baby.

I don’t remember if the anime did a good enough job explaining it but the Omni Kings were ALREADY about to delete multi universes. Goku just gave them a fighting chance.

The Vegeta Clan are the only Saiyans we know that have a family name, since they are royalty. Vegeta did not bring this tradition to Earth with him though, Bulma probably refused to name her son the same as her husband. So we got Trunks Briefs, two names for boys' crotch wear!

Goku's family name is Son. If you watch Dragon Ball in Japanese, Bulma calls Goku "Son-kun" with the "kun" showing that she sees him as sort of a little brother or her younger kid friend. Saiyans apparently don't all have family names (Kakarot, Bardock, Raditz) unless they are nobility or royalty like Vegeta. But Vegeta apparently didn't bring that tradition to Earth when his son was born. I think Bulma would be against naming her son Vegeta, the same as her husband, and so we got Trunks Briefs, which are both words that mean boys' shorts or underwear!

Goku can in fact... destroy an entire universe, minus certain people and Gods of Destruction if he so wishes. Here's a small power scale example:
Vegeta's father in base- blew up an entire planet
Majin Buu true form - nearly destroyed the entire 7th Universe and the Afterlife
Goku Blue - could probably eclipse that and go beyond, multi-universal
Vegito Blue - We're talking destruction of timelines now
Only certain Gods and people can rival these powers btw.

Aside from the Royal Family, Saiyan Culture had very little in the regards of Familial Ties, so there was no need for last names. Namekians also have no need for last names. You have just the general things. Warrior Clan, Dragon Clan, etc.

Zeno was already planning on eradicating some of the other remaining universes with the lowest amounts of mortal warrior potential fighters from the gecko which is before goku brought up the T.O.P. Idea anyway so technically he didn’t at all, in fact he at least gave them a chance and eventually after the epic battle royale was all said in done he and the other dragon team members frieza & Android No. 17 helped in also inadvertently saving the entire multiverse afterwards if you know, you know.
