Super duper video. Thanks tons David. I'll refer the Inspired Keys Academy members to this video when any CPU problems arise with MS!

Hey Sandra, thank you! We actually have an updated video located here: th-cam.com/video/p_kxSi0l4yw/w-d-xo.html Could you refer to that one instead? Thanks again! :)

Thanks heaps! Maybe I just dont have as keen an ear as you do, but I found that changing my buffer size 512 didn't make any difference that would be detrimental to my playing. 1024 I did notice a difference, but still not that big. Long story short, my CPU was sitting at 65% idle and would constantly hit 100%. After changing this I am sitting at 25%. You're a life saver

How much latency is noticeable is very much dependent on the particular player. I'm glad that the video was helpful! Thanks for watching. Be sure to subscribe if you haven't already.

another very good learning video - of course I have subscribed - just recently got into Mainstage so have lots to learn - Do u use a NanoKontrol 2 for a controller for your templates like are they premapped for one ?

    • @SundaySounds

Yes! Our Sunday Keys template is pre-mapped to the nanoKontrol2 :)

I don't have that CPU monitor (or the Memory) on the top toolbar. I just have the MIDI window. How do I get those extra windows?

In MainStage go to "Preferences/Display" and check the "Show Toolbar CPU and Memory Meters"

What about ram usage? With only one patch open my ram shoots up to over halfway in only half an hour!

Are you using main stage 3 in Sierra??

No sir! I won't update for at least a few months. Want to give the developers a chance to work all the bugs out. Still on the most recent build of El Cap.

Hey Colas, it is probably hidden. To show MIDI Effects, right click a blank area of any channel strip and then select the "MIDI Effects" option.
