Im from Pakistan. Turmeric is used in all our local dishes here... it is also used to cure sore throat by adding it to warm milk with honey and it also makes excellent facemasks combined with oils and gramflour. There are many endless benefits of turmeric.
Love tumeric! It's also a great tooth whitener! I mix it with a little water to make a paste and brush my teeth with it. You can see the difference straight away. Just make sure you rinse well. I brush with a mild toothpaste after. I use it once or twice a week to keep my teeth really white :)
Turmeric Vicco face cream with sandalwood oil. Its great for blemishes, boils, acne, and other common skin affected problems. (Uses Of the Vicco cream) Day cream moisturizer Night cream anti pimple cream dark spot remover for cuts and wounds
I'm Pakistani and we have a different kind of drink. We hear milk up, put a few teaspoons of turmeric in with ground almonds and honey and it's so tasty
Golden Milk Recipe: 3/4 cup warm water 1/2 cup coconut milk 1 teaspoon of tumeric 1/2 a teaspoon of cinnamon An eighth of a quarter of a teaspoon of nutmeg (sorry, I'm not sure what she meant by this, feel free to correct me in the comments) 5 drops of stevia 1/4 of a teaspoon of ground black pepper
In Okinawa, Japan they drink fermented turmeric tea. And several people that live in Okinawa are about 80 years old and still are participating in martial arts. There are even elders who are 100 and are still farming, harvesting, playing with their grandchildren, ect. Bitter melon is another health food there. It's also one of my favorite vegetables. The larger ones are less bitter while the smaller ones are more bitter
Thanks for the video. I cook it in coconut oil with some pepper, then add coconut milk and some honey, I also cook my vegetables with some legumes in the turmeric, coconut oil and coconut milk. It's cut down on my allergies and improved my mood and energy level.
I can't believe the rudeness on this feed towards Ela. You should all be ashamed talking about her speech. There is nothing wrong with the way Ela speaks. I can hear and understand her well. Maybe there is something wrong with your hearing..we don't need troll's on this channel.
That's funny. I can't hear without hearing aids and I can understand everything she says. Some people aren't used to thick accents, so that's understandable, but I don't think she mumbles. There might be one or two things I don't catch, but it would be weird for me if that weren't the case. People are just being rude, like you said.
I have not read any rude remarks about Ela's speech, accent and enunciation but is true that half of what she says is almost indecipherable. And that's a pity as we all could use some dietary advice!
I am 40 years old and suffer terribly with pain from rhumatoid arthritis. I have made your fantastic recipe for tumeric tea and OH MY GOSH...I have had so much relief from the painful joints, I am over the moon!!! Thank you so much for sharing this, your video is just amazing!!
Im gulf arabic, we use this spice in mostly every lunch we make or a dish its like the importance of salt in ur food lol but i didnt nor do i think my family knows about all these benefits! Thankyou!!! Ur amazing
This was a very helpful video. Learned a lot. You’re a very calming person. Your voice, your mannerisms and just your whole attitude. Very zen. Thanks for sharing. 🌱
OMG!!!! Lea this drink is certainly now my FAVORITE way of getting the amazing benefits of the Turmeric...I didn't have coconut milk soIi used Almond instead and added a tablespoon of raw organic Coconut oil with a dash of honey!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE...so happy I came across your site!!
My mom makes turmeric paste for my dogs with bad arthritis and it's amazing how much it has helped them. They can run around and not be in pain or limp anymore. In the paste she uses coconut oil, black pepper, and turmeric.
I had pain in my fingers, old age pain, that hurt even when my hands were still. I read that tumeric was good for this and could be used topically. I mixed it with a bit of water, aloe vera gel, and a bit of epsom salt. I soaked my fingers in this mixture for about 45 minutes. Not only did the pain go away, my hand felt better than it had in a long time and has been pain free since! I'm not sure how well it would work for more advanced conditions, but I've never seen anything as effective.
Hi Ela, I really enjoyed my Turmeric Milk Tonight. I have never tried it with ground pepper before. It tastes amazing! Thank you so much for sharing your recipe to us. :)
Great ideas! Thanks! Another thing I've heard you can do with turmeric is use it as a teeth whitener. You take a bit of coconut oil and add some turmeric to it to make a paste. Put it on your tooth brush and brush your teeth with it. Leave it on your teeth for 5 minutes. Then rinse it out and then brush your teeth with normal toothpaste. It will stain the bristles of your toothbrush, so you may want to use a cheaper toothbrush for this (turmeric part) It's up to you. Also heard from Paramahamsa Nithyananda that you can take turmeric and mix it with a bit of water to make a paste. Put it on your forehead and third eye Area. Go to bed. Concentrate on third eye Area. Go to sleep. When you wake up, wash it off. You can use coconut oil to help remove the turmeric color if you still see it after washing face. Do this for one month. It will help decalcify your pineal gland. 😊😊❤️ Turmeric is awesome!
I recently found your channel and I'm in love with it. Your Diy's are so helpful and amazing. You are such an awesome person. Always gonna look forward to your videos.
Seriously, people - if you can't understand her accent, quick complaining about it (it's YOUR issue) and just use the settings on the bottom right of the screen to slow down the video. Problem solved...yeesh.
It's important to NOT use already-ground black pepper, but freshly cracked black pepper from a grinder to help the tumeric properly absorb into your body, as well as using an organic oil like coconut or olive. The peperine in freshly cracked black pepper is what is so important in increasing the amount of tumeric that gets absorbed; an increase that can be nearly 200%!
I always enjoy your videos as I always come out of them having learnt something! As someone studying nutrition I always find them so interesting. Going to have to try the golden milk. Also one recipe I enjoy is "cauliflower rice with some turmeric and cumin as well as salt and pepper" it such a lovely way to get more veg into your diet. On a side note, and this is just a video suggestion but maybe a video on herbs and spices you cook with? So kind of like a spice cupboard tour? I suggest this because I enjoy trying new spices and herbs to add flavour and am always in the mood to try new spices.

How long do you have to use Tumeric for before you start noticing the difference? I've had gut issues for two years. Tried all sorts...Anti Bacterial yogurt, Ginger, various gut powders. One gut powder worked OK, but my guts seemed to have slipped into bad habits when I stopped taking it, as it was £33 a tub, and it only lasts a month, and it tasted grim. So I've been taking tumeric almost everyday for nearly 5 weeks now, and not noticed any difference. I do use black pepper as a trigger for it.
this maybe a silly question, but I'm only beginning to really learn about these natural ways of doing things. My question is this, for the coconut milk you use in your receipts, is there a specific kind or just whatever I find at the grocery store? And because of the coconut milk do things need to be refrigerated or does it not go bad? Thank you so much for your wonderful videos!! SOOOO appreciated!
Hello. I've been using turmeric ever since I found out that I had rapidly growing fibroids. I drop a small bit of the root in a cup, crush the root with a pestle, pour in hot water and leave for a while before drinking. I've noticed though that most of what is shown about the usage shows it being used with milk. Do you know of any particular reason for this?
so can turmeric powder lighten dark spots on your skin? like my neck, sides, and in between my thighs are shades darker than my skin I'm pretty lights and it makes me self conscious about it because I'm on the volley ball team and we have to wear short shorts and our hair I high ponytails and I really want to fix this problem.
The best thing for eczema is definitely olive oil. It has a lot of benefits and a high amount of squalene (squalane?), which the skin produces normally. with eczema, the skin doesn't produce as much squalene. So try a turmeric and olive oil mask!
She has outstanding infirmation, but, as others have stated, I really, really wanted to understand and grasp all that she was saying. The speed of the delivery prevented me from understanding the whole thing. Closed Caption feature is sometimes incorrect with what is actually being spoken. I subscribed because she appears to have great things to tell us and I want to hear it more clearly. I am NOT, in any way, meaning to deliberately criticize or put someone down.

so can turmeric powder lighten dark spots on your skin? like my neck, sides, and in between my thighs are shades darker than my skin I'm pretty lights and it makes me self conscious about it because I'm on the volley ball team and we have to wear short shorts and our hair I high ponytails and I really want to fix this problem.
Thank you so much for these recipes, I take turmeric curcumin capsules, but I would like to consume it in food form. thanks again.

Tumeric mixed with other spices have improved my son's allergies!
Which nail polish did you use?😊
Having another eczema flare up and I've been slathering myself with coconut oil - will try turmeric next!
I hope it does wonders for you love! ♡
The best thing for eczema is definitely olive oil. It has a lot of benefits and a high amount of squalene (squalane?), which the skin produces normally. with eczema, the skin doesn't produce as much squalene. So try a turmeric and olive oil mask!
detox the body and remineralize.
I got rid of my eczema by oil pulling with coconut oil. But, I also continue to apply coconut oil topically.

This is so helpful! Srsly, who knew?!
I made the the golden milk! Wow! I love it! Thank you for sharing. I will be making this often :)
