Y’all are going to laugh… my family has been sick for the past 2 weeks with the fever, basically we are all good now except for frequent cough… I wake up early most mornings and I am so sick of this cough, I had some ginger, and garlic and I’m like what can I do here… I TH-camd some ideas and came across this video, I was like, I have some turmeric also, perfect, guess I’m making turmeric tea, long story short, 2 minutes into drinking it, no more cough… absolutely amazing, thank you a million times over…

you can also add liquorice to it. It is great for fighting colds. As is cardamom and cloves. They are mucolytic - meaning they help prevent thick snot formation during colds. Spices do a lot more than just marked things flavorful

I started taking tumeric capsules about a year ago for rheumatoid arthritis. I had been on prednisone for 10 yrs, and after listening to the advice of multiple functional doctors on Instagram, I decided to try it! After 6 months, I started weaning off the prednisone, and stopped it completely at the end of Aug 2022. My ESR(measures inflammation) in 2019 was 15. When my doctor checked it in Jan 2023, it was a whopping 1! I've lost 34lbs in one year by reducing simple carbs(includes sugar), eating more protein and healthy fats, and eating low glycemic fruits. Of course, I've always eaten good veggies! Also, don't buy food that has seed oils in them...very inflammatory. Thank you, Mary, for this yummy tea!! :D

Mary, I’ve been using turmeric tea for years and I now learn to use almond milk with Tamarack at night time with black pepper and it is amazing. I seen this doctor on TH-cam. He showed me how to do it with the almond milk. I love it at night time I had trouble going to sleep, it worked. I have not been sick for a long time because of the turmeric, I even put it on my food at night time I find that it works when it’s hot or warm. Mostly warm when I use it with the oat milk. The Tamarack works better that way for me but thank you sweetheart.

I never knew how to make homemade apple cider vinegar. Now I do. I plan to make sauerkraut soon too. My husband planted both red and regular cabbage so it will not have any dangerous sprays or chemicals on them. Truly organic. It is a labor of love but it's worth making it. It's very nutritious. Thank you very much.

Here in the Pacific part of the world which is known as MICRONESIA turmeric is used on the body as a decorative compound during special occasions. We also used that to paint people who die. Just currently, the idea of using it to solve some health issues is new. I would say new, but I had noticed in the past that people used it to treat skin rash on babies and children. Thank you for the recipe and your video. I will share it with my community.

I love turmeric/ginger tea and usually make it in batches of about 3/4 gallon, which lasts about a week. I keep it in the refrigerator and have a cup every morning on an empty stomach... sometimes cold, sometimes hot. Instead of lemon and honey, I add apple cider vinegar and a little raw sugar. I've only been drinking it regularly for a couple months although I learned about it a couple winters ago when I had it for a cold. I can't speak to medicinal properties, but the flavor is very refreshing. It seems that I've cut back a little on my morning coffee, too.

I love cardamom so much. Put it in my blended herbal coffee (Teecino or Dandy Blend) every morning (it's kind of like a latte, but less milk). Gotta be careful with cardamom. A little bit goes a long way. Use too much and it overpowers and becomes medicinal tasting. For 2 cups herbal coffee I use almost 1 teaspoon. Alternatively, when I'm not so pressed for time, I'll crack open 6 cardamom pods and (be careful with that paring knife!) and open them up over the blender to let the spice fall out of the shell. I've even added turmeric to that wonderfully warming beverage. It really feels exquisite and nourishing.

To those is y'all who read the comments it be good to know that cassia cinnamon can also, if you consume too much of course, cause palpitation like symptoms. This is me speaking from experience. However, if you do experience those symptoms just drink some warm lemon water to flush it out of your system. You could also add lemon balm, lavender, chamomile, and/or catnip as a relaxer.
