QUESTION : Why do we "capture" pirates? How about simply sinking their boat, send them to the bottom or let them swim to shore? Problem solved. Why let them go to do it again, and again?
Because most countries have these funny things called Courts and Laws, police don't just take people out back of the jail and shoot them in the head, that would be highly illegal. Besides that most Somali pirates are chiefly former fishermen driven to desperation because the Somali fishing industry went to total hell

Because many of them are forced into this. If they don't do it their family is killed by the mob back in Somalia. That is where you need to fight the problem.
There are kids on the boat. Always give the enemy a chance to surrender, especially in situations where you *massively* out power them. Its having humanity. You'd want them to do the same for you, wouldn't you?
I was on a ship pirate hunting. We caught 47 and took them to the Seychelles for sentencing. 1 of them was a taxi driver his first trip out in a boat got caught and got 7 years in jail 🤣🤣🤣

I watched a clip that showed how the French found a Somali boat with AK47's and boarding ladders aboard and they then released them because they said there was a lack of evidence to hold them. Really.

The French can stop Somali pirates but they can't stop refugees crossing the English channel by giving them dinghies.

Why not put up lines on the side of the boat so that when they grab it, it breaks and they fall into the water? Also, simply make a sharp left turn to create a wake and cause their boat to capsize!

Why are you capturing them? They are not valuable. Just take their ship for salvaging and let them tread water. Trust me, they will float all the way home in a few hours. They are fit.

pirate use many mg and bazooka for stop ship, it is not really small gun, the big ship is not a big ship but a small Fregat for oceanic patrol or for ship escort. But enought for jail pirate. You need that when you cruise for longue period.
