I'm so glad Train came back with "Save Me, San Francisco." It's a great album that I find very encouraging. I hope they have the best of luck with this new start! :) Great interview. Thanks for posting.

First of all, Train is on my list of favorites. The music is a little soft but Train figured out how to use Pat’s voice, the band's musical skills, along with fun and witty lyrics to simply make fun music. If I don’t listen to Train for a while, and I hear a Train song, I end up going on a Train music binge for a week or two. It’s just fun and well done. I like everything from jazz to country to metal and alt music, punk, classic and even some rap. I really like almost everything out there. So after listening to this interview. I have just one thing to say, and I don’t know why. “While everybody else is getting out of bed, I’m usually getting in it. I’m not in it to win it. And there's a thousand ways you can skin it!” Only a Train fan will understand. They are really talented!

I remember Pat, Scott, Jimmy, Charlie & Rob, used to together years back. And now Pat has new members in his band.

There's no edit button here & I need to edit. The concert I atttended with Train was last Saturday. Not 2 Saturdays ago. It's been a long week. Pat wore his trademark black jacket. His voice was strained a little because he had been singing a lot & wasn't feeling well. He apologized a few times for it, but he still did a good job. When he needed help, he had St. Louis audience help him & Pat said St. Louis was better crowd than Chicago. This was 2nd time Train was in St. Louis this year.

I somehow imagined his speaking voice as much different, to be honest. He is so soft spoken and almost, well, quiet when he is talking in an interview like this.
When he sings however, wow.....totally different story.....that voice just amazes me. So strong, so powerful, so beautiful.
And I have to agree, he is very handsome for an 'old guy'...lol. Well that is what some commentors state on other clips of theirs.
He IS hot,and those eyes are so stunning. He sings from the heart and soul.

This was a decent interview with Pat Monahan of Train. I liked how Pat was open & honest answering all the questions. He seems like a man who is comfortable with himself & likes to share his experiences with others. That's good that the break helped Train refocus & reenergize because "Saving San Francisco" is a good CD. The quality of Train's current music is great. Regarding the comments from all the women who say Pat is hot & handsome. Pat is handsome. I think some men look better as (cont.)

Yes, Pat's second wife is a very lucky gal. :-) Pat is handsome, smart, experienced, wise, talented, hardworking, caring, funny, entertaining, selfless, etc. This guy has it all. When I watched Miss Universe pageant, I noticed that Pat's neck was turning red as he was singing his lungs out. I hope he gets some rest this holiday season. I appreciate that Pat & Train came to St. Louis for the Y98 Jingle Ball concert. It was nice to listen to some of Train's hits & Pat singing Xmas songs, too! :-)

they grow older. Pat is one of those men. SOME men grow sexier with the wisdom & experience they carry as they get older. Pat is one of those men. I attended a concert with Train as headlining act two Saturdays ago in St. Louis. Some of the women in the audience were acting like they were standed in the desert & that Pat was their oasis. Especially during the "Mermaids" number when Pat invited young & older females to join him on stage to be Mermaids & sing. This one woman grabbed Pat's (cont.)

He is damn hott, and has the voice of an angel. So much talent, it is amazing!
I was referring to all the comments I have seen on their videos, especially about Pat more than the others. Some are very unkind and insulting, and they make the poor guy out to be of the age of dinosaurs....seems to them, 41 is as good as 91,for heaven sake.
He and the guys are like fine wine with age,imho....and those people do not know what they are talking about.

Man I'm so glad that we all get to know what it took to restart Train. I mean I really missed Train and I think I speak for the entire music loving world when I say that. No I'm kidding, I wish that this train had derailed and exploded....

butt & Pat said that he really appreciated that (in a sarcastic tone). Another women flashed camera near his face & he said that he hoped that she made him look 26 or 36 with photoshop instead of his actual age 43. When Pat was playing saxophone in the "Mermaids" number this one woman who looked like she traveled from on city to another city throughout U.S. for Train concerts wanted to touch Pat a lot & put some t-shirt around his neck as he was trying to play. He quickly scooted away (cont.)

from her. In a way, I felt bad for Pat because some of the female fans are really aggressive and treat Pat like he's in "Magic Mike" movie. Yes, Pat is really handsome, wise, talented, smart, & experienced. But umm...Pat is married. He has 2 children from 1st marriage. And he's been married to 2nd wife since 2006 & they have 2 children. So, Pat has 4 children from 2 wives. So, Pat was focusing on his music, entertaining, & saying dry sarcastic humor lines. So, Pat was a good boy & behaved.(cont)

But my gosh to some of the women at the concert behaving like they were locked up & haven't seen a handsome man in a long time! Now that I think about it, when I attended a Hunter Hayes & Carrie Underwood concert, some gals acted like they were locked up for a long time & were worked up in a frenzy when they saw Hunter Hayes. Train was great at the concert I attended. And they did good performing at Miss Universe pageant. Pat & Train have worked hard & deserve a much-needed holiday break!

Hi, amc17bears. :-) Yeah, it's funny how some folks on TH-cam think a guy who is 43 years old is an ancient dinosaur. LOL! Pat is lucky. NOT ALL men age gracefully. Only SOME men age like fine wine. Pat, Daniel Craig, Hugh Jackman, Gerard Butler, Ewan McGregor, Michael Fassbender are some examples of men who look better & smarter as they get older. So good on Pat! I just noticed in 1 of my posts today I said "Saving San Francisco" instead of "Save Me, San Francisco". It's been a long day!

must be some teens or tweens who think that 21 is over the hill, lol, but THEY gotta get old too!....I wish the guys had more views on some of their older stuff, because they are terrific songs....at least these guys have talent, which is more than I can say for 'some people' on here who have a billion views in total, or something like that....though I don't listen to that crap, just read about them having so many views...go figure.
