@@h.nguyen4193 yeah that is a separate world record for car drivers/passengers. As of October 2021, the overall record is 25 hours 39 minutes, with an average speed of 110 miles per hour (177 km/h), driven by Arne Toman and Doug Tabbutt. Insane this guy did it himself, holding onto a motorcycle, not using cruise ctrl, for 24hrs, at 106mph on avg. the cannonball run is still pretty cool though. the driver/passenger teamwork is what makes that race interesting (to me).
He was on Porsche's closed test track specifically designed for high speeds. It's a big circle. No turns, no traffic, meticulously maintained. Get it in gear and hold the throttle until you run out of gas, then pit and repeat.
Average 24hours Endurance Race is held by 3 riders within 1-2 hours per stint. So each rider rode 8 hours average. But riding full 24 hours is beast...👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I personally did about 1000km's in 12 hours. Post the ride I was sore all over and slept for 2 days straight. This is a marvelous achievement hats off to the team and the rider. This shows how far engineering has come to produce such great machines in these modern times that can handle those speeds for hours and days and still run great with just a flip over with a key. Good job and great content. 😄
Amazing how he did this. I have the same bike and the handle bar vibration makes me to want to stop after a few hours. How he did 24hrs I never know! Impressed 😮
I once happened to ride RE Classic 350 for 6 hrs a day covering almost 500 kms in 3 stretches and my ass was hurting like sore. Even the Classic 350 felt uncomfortable after 300 kms. I understand when Ivan said that those 24hrs were toughest of his life..
I once rode 1100km on a kawa gpz 400 with many stops along the way. Long day,at the end I had to stop bc I was falling asleep on the bike...24 hrs riding at that speed is superhuman to me...great to see Triumph going for records like in the old times!
Amazing job from Ivan and Triumph 👌 just bought the Tiger 1200 Rally Pro and so happy I did, incredible bike, thanks @triumph for maligning such incredible bikes 🙏
I have ridden bikes for very long hours. (Certainly not at that speed) - Pushing like this for 24 hours to do 4000K's is not something to take lightly... It's not even possible to explain or feel... Hats off to the rider... & testament to Triumph's engineering.
This is an amazing feat of endurance! In 1994 the Suzuki RF900 set the record for the most distance travelled in 24 hours (5900kms). Admittedly they had a Team of 19 Riders to complete the task. Hats off to the lone Rider!!!
Human performance records are always other worldly. Congrats to this Champion. The mighty Triumph 1200 GT stayed together too. That’s also worth noting. Well done to both.
Iván congratulations on your achievement! Woohoo! I can understand how big the challenge is. I have driven solo for 29hrs straight(with only fuel and food brakes) but ofcourse with traffic beside me and it's a hell of a challenge. Here there is no traffic which can give you motivation to continue.
First of all Congratulations to the man who took the initiative to do 4000+ kms in 24 Hrs thats pure enthusiasm to showcase what you can achieve great 👍 I also want to mention here if TRIUMPH could make these "DUAL SPORT ADVENTURE" Bikes in 400cc capacity category would be a another great adventure undertaken by many to enjoy that to GT name of this personal autographed.❤
This is really amazing accomplishment for men. The longest I've ridden a bike is 12 hrs almost 600 plus kilometers with average speed between 80 to 170 kph. With 4 stopovers for gas and bathroom break for 15 mins. And its on my kawasaki z1000R. I got sick after that, my whole body hurts and i can still feel the vibration and exhaust sound of the bike in my sleep.
Astonishing human effort...both rider and the crew.... Marvelous 🎉🎉 Back in 2003 the Indian grown Hero Honda Karizma did 2525.033km in a span of 24 hours. It was just a 223 cc 17bhp engined semi fairing machine... With no technology just a simple carburettor engine.. cheers
I’d love to have a crack at something like this - I did an Iron Butt where I covered 1850 kms in under 19 hours, restricted by public road speed limits. Triumph’s achievement is definitely amazing, but someone else is going to challenge and beat this record, guaranteed.
Ivan Cervantes is not a man, he is a machine. Congratulations! And Riding the stock GT1200 Explorer at 125 mph for 24hrs, in different weather conditions put that bike to the ultimate test! There’s no more question that the Triumph Tiger GT1200 is King of the ADV country-crossing bikes. Triumph should make a 2024 or 2025 GT1200 Explorer and call it the Ivan Cervantes!
People keep bashing the bike for the comically low top speed limiter and the lack of cruise control at said comically low top speed. Ivan Cervantes broke the record DESPITE all that. If anything, that makes his and the team's achievement even more amazing. Sure, the bike is not perfect, but the fact remains that it was part of the world record, until other manufacturers join the fun.
The track is 12.55km long and they said it takes around 17 laps use up 28 liters. So if they fueled up exactly 28 liters every time, the fuel consumption would be somewhere in the ballpark of 13L/100km which is quite amazing…especially at a range of 160 to 200km/h
Congratulation and it not easy task. I personally know the pain and struggle for a nonstop 24 hours because i have done 2614km in 24 hours on a public `road in Malaysia (2016)
I became very sensitive after watching this video that a person can drive such a vehicle for 24 hours, that too in 4000 km. He congratulates the driver and the bike company for doing such a thing.❤❤❤
Impressive from the rider to sustain that for 24hr. But let's not forget that Velocette set a record of 100mph/160kmh for 24hr in 1961 on a 500cc single. In 62 years we haven't progressed much.
But that's not a bone stock motorcycle. It was company prepared motorcycle. Still I respect that motorcycle. There were 6 riders in their team! So this man got the stamina of 6 men! Absolute legend!
You beat me to it Max. That record was set with a custom machine with an entire team. Not to mention, 100mph for hours is different than going 204kph (126mph) for hours. This record breaking attempt was basically just Triumph handing a crazy person a factory machine lol and Ivan still beat the 1961 record to death by himself

Maintaining an average of 167KPH / 104MPH during 24H is nuts.
exactly the definition of guiness records
For 24 hours Man you are so brave enough to achieve that! In Gravel and here in roadway Ring he broke the record 😮well done Ivan! 😀

And is my new marathon Adventure emblem Rider in all extreme weather 😃
I have an HONEST question... This guy stops to eat, drink and do basic necessities or he used diapers?

What a wonderful and crazy journey. It’s undeniably a story I shall remember for a long time.
Great effort by Ivan, two yrs ago almost did the same on my Vespa 200 px on a go cart track. In the rain.
This is truly incredible. I can't imagine how difficult it must have been for him. Once I rode 500km in 8hrs with a break for lunch and field work.
An increadible acheivement! What a man and machine. Insane
Great blend between Man and Machine. 4000k KM its majestic 😎🏁

What is the sweet spot? What speed does the vibrations set in and what speed they become unbearable?
Vibration dampening material like gel pads in gloves and suit
What an incredible achievement! I definitely need to take out an Explorer for a test ride!!
