So Not much they could do & very big risk if they tried.

When it comes to Adam, Yes the guys should have fought to find a way to get him out But without opening the cage door (which would have at the time let Lucifer and Michael out with him) he would have ended up like Sam with no soul... I think the finale should be that after sam and dean get rid of both chuck and amara, death presents them with one last option. Them sacrificing their lives in order to restore the balance between the normal world and the monsters' world; getting rid of all monsters and demons that roam the earth. Dean looks at sam smilingly and says: "We've always said we'd go out swinging, how about one last swing?" As sam tears up, smiles, and replies "The people we care about can't get hurt anymore." They both look at billie in agreement and billie slowly reaps the Winchesters.. The last scene is a hunters' funeral, attended by all the hunters around the world. They are gathered around two body bags on a bunch of wood. Bobby and Jodi"s eyes tear up as they send their friends to the other side. The final shot is the camera following up the smoke to reveal a beautiful day and a clear sky. A representation of a new dawn that began, and a celebration for the life and death of Sam and Dean Winchester..

If you're used to binge watch, it's kinda hard to identify the seasons since you barely notice when one ends and another one starts. Not even Sam's hair can do the trick for me hahahah

When it comes to Adam, Yes the guys should have fought to find a way to get him out But without opening the cage door (which would have at the time let Lucifer and Michael out with him) he would have ended up like Sam with no soul... So at the time there was no good option really..... unless I’ve forgotten sumthin SPNFAMILY let me know

I think the finale should be that after sam and dean get rid of both chuck and amara, death presents them with one last option. Them sacrificing their lives in order to restore the balance between the normal world and the monsters' world; getting rid of all monsters and demons that roam the earth. Dean looks at sam smilingly and says: "We've always said we'd go out swinging, how about one last swing?" As sam tears up, smiles, and replies "The people we care about can't get hurt anymore." They both look at billie in agreement and billie slowly reaps the Winchesters.. The last scene is a hunters' funeral, attended by all the hunters around the world. They are gathered around two body bags on a bunch of wood. Bobby and Jodi"s eyes tear up as they send their friends to the other side. The final shot is the camera following up the smoke to reveal a beautiful day and a clear sky. A representation of a new dawn that began, and a celebration for the life and death of Sam and Dean Winchester..
