- After taking out Spaw and handing over the keys to the kingdom (well, colony) to Glut, we move onto different shores. On our way to Grymforge we run into a pesky duergar with his crew. Mostly his crew.

I usually talk my way out of the situation as I want nice bow of the banshee. 🏹

I rarely do archer builds (in games in general) so I don't pay that much attention to good bows besides buffs like initiative and such. Going to have to once I play a bit more around with a paladin

It is amusing that you ended the fight with an offhand quarterstaff attack. The last resort of an annoyed mage. "Fine, doge my spells. I'll hit you with my big stick."
Hah yes well it is a scary fight in terms of shoving but the damage is not too bad :) Sometimes a gall just need to bonk a few heads you know ;>
when in doubt, void bulb. cool use of that plus stinking cloud and shield of thralls stun!

I have trouble with this fight playing a duo! Fkn awesome!!!!!!!! I loved the use of stinking cloud since its an easier to find scroll!
Yeah the fight is pretty much over if you end up in a position that can get shoved :/. Got to be super careful with positioning and enemy placement. I’ve been wanting to use the more niche spells like stinking cloud and blink too. Very happy with this fight!

Hi! Thank you 😊. Hah yeah poor Grumpy, I just don’t have time right now to play as much so I got to prioritize a bit.
So this build is quite straightforward so far. 8 str, 16 dex, 14 con, 10 wis, 17 int, 8 chr. At 4 I picked dual wielder. Some key items early game: sparkling staff(?) + melfs staff, infernal robe, protection ring and those gloves that give 2 armor if you don’t wear armor or shield (don’t remember name off hand, sorry!)
nice use of stinking cloud, shatter would have been great too, lvl 2 spell slot + 1 voidball
Trying to get more of a necromancer feeling from the spells when possible, thought the cloud could be good here :). You mean gather them up and then shatter? Haven't tried shatter much at all, you use it a lot?

I also wanted to set fire to a ship. Viking style, with all the bodies on it. But it wouldn't burn.
