For those who do not know, America said to Iraq that we have no objection if it invaded Kuwait, and after the invasion, America said, “What is this Kuwait? We must liberate it.” Also, Kuwait was taking Iraq’s oil illegally, and America told the Iraqi army and threatened it, if it did not withdraw, it would attack it, and the Iraqi army withdrew from Kuwait. America struck the withdrawing forces because they were easy targets. After that, it struck Iraq, and worse than that, it struck factories in Iraq that had no connection to the army, such as sugar factories, mills, canning factories, petrochemical factories, etc. And after the fall of Saddam, it did not contribute. America helped rebuild Iraq, and even appointed corrupt politicians because it did not want stability in Iraq. The President of Iraq demanded America’s exit in 2014, and America left, but it supported ISIS after that, so that Iraq would be forced to allow the Americans to build military bases inside it. We in Iraq, our demand is to partner with China in a way Chinese silk because it will contribute to the reconstruction of Iraq. We give China oil and it contributes to the reconstruction of Iraq. Iraq partnered with China, but America did not like that and incited the Iraqi people through its fake flags to demonstrate against this project. The prime minister who wanted to partner with China was overthrown because America wants oil for itself. Also, the antiquities of Iraq were stolen by Britain, Germany, France, and America........ We are not against the people of America, but against this...
      American government .

Setting aside all the horrible terror we experienced as a child, they destroyed us, destroyed our lives and our parents' lives, messed up our future and ambitions, and we are now being called terrorists? Everywhere I go they turn me down when I mention I’m an Iraqi at work and all else. What have I done man? Are these the rulers of the world? Destroying their own homes, killing their people, saying it was a terrorist organization, cluelessly tying that organization to a poor and weak country, invading them under the message of “freeing its people”, keep fighting so you don’t look bad, and give up with an ultimate carnage as the result, and being defeated? And they can sleep? One day. Nothing else, but that day when they are shaking in the shrine of God and repenting for all they did.

You’re understating what we actually did to Iraq and to the Middle East in general. The US hasn’t just “trespassed” or whatever, they’re destroyed countries, killed hundreds of thousands of people, and committed countless war crimes against civilians. We’ve murdered journalists, bombed mosques and hospitals, and tortured anyone we think is a terrorist. We’ve toppled democratically elected leaders and harm the people living there. Groups like ISIS and Al Qaeda are evil, but they were created as a response to American imperialism. What those groups have done is nothing compared to the atrocities committed by the American military over the past several decades.

@@joedenathan4775 A favorable oil deal was a pretty big deal in the first half of 2000; remember the oil crisis of 1970; many things changed since then; the production of oil by the US; the price of oil and the price of oil extraction. It all changed now. And honestly, I don't think anybody was thinking that this war is going to cost 1t in 2003 and will go on for around 20 years in one way or another.
That being said; yeah; it is true; oil wasn't the deciding factor; it was only the cherry on top.
If you look into the evidence actually; I can't see much of a reason for the Iraq war except the need of the government to show a decisive action after an attack to satisfy the public. Exactly what this video suggests.
Anything else, like oil and geopolitical reasons, seem only to be additional factors.

My younger brother was a jet mechanic in the US Navy when 9/11 happened. In late October my mother and I flew to see him for 24 hours before his unit was posted overseas - we didn't know where. He made it home safe but not whole. I grieve for the Iraqi people and their terrible suffering.
I've seen a few videos about American soldiers from that time, expressing their own feelings of betrayal and disgust towards their own government for the lies they were told. They live with the anguish of everyone's losses and pain, having seen it or participated in it. Every war we've been in since the nineteen sixties is easily exposed for the profiteering and propaganda machines that it is.

@Colin Vollmer He did invaded Kuwait but the US did not the start the war for that reason not to mention they greenlighted Saddam to invade Kuwait and the US first gave an instruction in the 1960s that an invasion of Kuwait would not involve American involvement nor an intervention. The Gulf War in reality was to destroy Iraq and its regional power to protect American and pro-Zionist interests, this not a misrepresentation of history it is what really happened.

During Trump rule, we rarely heard about USA going into war but in time of Biden UKRAINE IS IN WAR WITH RUSSIA. Democrats are the one who wanted to keep the salve system alive in USA but Republicans has stopped slavery of Blacks in USA. AMERICA is not the problem but the problem is democrats and their greed.

It is known that during the era of Saddam, if anyone belonging to Al-Qaeda was arrested, the authorities would execute him, and this is a position completely opposed to Al-Qaeda .One of America's primary goals was to destroy the Iraqi army because it was classified as the fourth strongest army in the world, and it did not want the oil regions to be strong and armed in order to always remain under American control, which would ensure the continued flow of oil to them and control the oil market.

@Ooki Cooki Whether or not that is the case, it is up to the citizens of those countries which provide military aid and such for the perpetration of atrocities to do something about it to the extent that they have that ability. If you are an American, you should be worried about what are the consequences of your actions (or inaction) primarily. To the extent that you can do something about it, like putting pressure on your government, you are responsible for the level of your inaction and/or active participation in your government's atrocities. @@a_09.7 live in Uk for 11 years... and generally people are super weak in geography, my colleague literally was amazed when i said it takes 2,20hrs by train to get to Paris from London. And she had no idea where was the country where she was born (Myanmar, Burma) felt very sorryyy.... me at school had to pass test on all countries of Africa with all capitals and where they are based, of course i forgot some but remember most. I found it super handy in my life while traveling and talking about geopolitics etc...

My grandma's Sister was born in Hungary, and then married an Iraqi. She lived in Iraq for 40 years. She has told me countless stories of the beauty of Iraq. Then After all the wars, she and her husband left with nothing, back to Hungary. She told me that nowadays, Iraq is in total chaos, which is very sad. I hope Iraq will get better in the future.
