Thanks for the great recipe. Loved it. I used a mixture of ground flax and oats in place of the oat bran (because I had none). I used 1 cup whole wheat and 1/4 white and it turned out well. Also reduced sugar to 1/3 and it was plenty sweet enough.
I made this yesterday, just without golden syrup and added semi sweet chocolate chips. It turned out perfectly sweet and balanced. The oat bran gives it an interesting and really nice texture ! Thank you Nina for the recipe
Just tried this last night, I blitzed rolled oats and used that instead of flour and added 2 tbsp of walnut butter as well, turned out sooooo good... thank you nina! Definitely going to make this again sometime soon❤️

No! I actually add it because it reacts with the baking soda and makes the loaf rise better, but if you don't have any no worries, it'll work just fine without it : )

Sometimes you need all kinds of sugar. But of course you can play it safe and add maybe 1/4 cup less of brown sugar!
