I noticed flight crew using this brand a few years back and bought a smaller 19” spinner, which has turned into my normal carry-on for domestic and international trips. I noticed I started to need a bit more space for longer trips, and since I’m part of Team Carry-On Only, I literally bought this same 21” three days ago. I love that it’s so light and the wheels are so smooth. In four years, the 19” still looks brand new. Glad Pack Hacker also likes this Maxlite bag!
I am looking into this suitcase and also a few samsonites (Saire LTE, Lineate DLX). How has been your experience? I checked a TravelPro bag at a local Macy's but it looked a bit smaller.
@@ThisMorroLife So far, so good. I prefer Maxlites because of their quality, and being lightweight so I can pack more, easily stow it in overhead bins, and carry it up flights of stairs or if I'm walking on cobblestone streets.
I have the Maxlite 4 and it's my favourite carry-on luggage because it ticks a lot of boxes, namely being lightweight and expandable. The wheels on my Tumi and Briggs & Riley disintegrated during the travel ban in 2020-2021 but not my Travelpro
Looking at the comments/ratings on Amazon I found an abundance of negative ones regarding the handle quickly being stuck and the wheels deteriorating. They all were dated within the last year. I know the comments are subject to manipulation and wonder if fans of this site have had different experiences recently. Thanks.
I used this luggage for about two years. This is a FANTASTIC review of this piece of luggage. Highly recommend especially for those who are on a budget. The light weight of this piece is also very light. I have since switched to a different company but I recommend this to lots of travelers. You can find a compression topper that is designed for a different Travel Pro piece but it does work for this to help with those compression straps not always working great for packing cubes. I would also agree that I never liked the handle and it moving. It created a lot of stress on my wrist which I didn’t like.
International airlines are really strict on size & weight for carry-on. My current 21-inch carry-on has an empty weight of nearly 9 pounds or 4 kg. The airline's limit is 15 pounds or 7 kg. I've been looking at the lighter weight 21-inch carry-on & the Travelpro is one of the most reviewed on TH-cam. On AMAZON, the Travelpro has an AMAZON warning that it is a FREQUENTLY RETURNED ITEM. From other users, the biggest complaints have been the durability of the wheels and the zipper. Since this is Travelpro's cheapest 21-inch carry-on, quality and durability seem to have been sacrificed. If you want quality and durability, you have to buy the more expensive 21-inch carry-on.
I normally one bag Travel with a pack but there are times where I’ll use a roller luggage piece which is this travel pro. I have never had any issues and highly recommend it as a good durable option
Phenomenal reveiw, I am actually on a trip and my Samsonite luggage handle broke I had to carry all my luggage through the airport(s) which was pretty lame I ordered this off Amazon through pinch (sorry I saw this reveiw after I purchased otherwise would of used your affiliate link 😢) I travel alot and looking for a new brand the two past Samsonites I have ordered have both broke everyone speaks highly of them but I think they are junk or don't travel enough to relize that. Thanks for the detailed review looking forward to not carrying all my luggage back home. Wanted to make sure to like and leave a comment for the algorithm, thank you very much! I have subscribed and will use your links for future travel needs. Thank you
question: you say in the video that this bag fits most airline carryon requirements, but on your website’s page for this bag, it says it only fits 3% of airline requirements. which is it?
I loved this line until I needed to replace the wheels, it was after warranty, and the way they are designed makes it almost impossible to do yourself. They have instructions on their website that don't apply to the maxlite. There's no interior zipper so you can't get the wheel off without cutting the interior lining, unlike other models. Very disappointed because I wanted this to last.
Hi. Can you help me figure out how to unlock the zippers on the TSA lock. I just got the bag and the zippers are stuck in the lock which is at 000. Thsnks❤
How is the zipper on the mesh pocket? I have the next size up Travelpro and it comes off track. Other than that, i am happy with my purchase and am looking for a new carry on.
Leaning towards being interested in travelpro suitcases, but am a bit disappointed that there aren't any TSA locks already on the suitcase. Are there any alternatives suitcases that closely match this one but have TSA locks included?

It looks like there is an extra inch or so of packable space between the bottom wheels. Is that correct?

@@chelsabrinkman417 Correct! That's where I normally pack my shoes/flip flops.

I love Travelpro luggage. Because it’s so light I can actually pack this with clothing and lift it into the overhead bin. I am a 78 year old woman.
I love my Travelpro luggage. It super light and durable. It survived without any issues or damage during my 3 weeek trip to Germany!!

What brand did you switch to?
@@margaritasmirnova Tumi
Is there a significant difference between the single wheels on this, compared to the dual wheels on other models (smoother rolling, more stable)?
Thanks for covering a wheel option. Some of us viewers are too old for backpacking.
Thanks for watching! 😃

I’m looking for a replacement to my 5yr old Osprey Ozone wheeled bag. Enjoyed your review. Thank you
Great review. The most thorough of all the reviews I've seen on this item. Thanks!

I just ordered two 25" suitcases and it turns out our green model has a build in lock for the main compartment zipper. Our black model does not.
Great practical review! Thank you.

It seems like the dimensions are bigger than allowable (22x14x9). I just wonder if airline will ever give us any issues with this bag?
Foreign airlines and some U.S. budget airlines may have a problem with the size. They tend to be stricter than the large, domestic carriers.

How many days of clothing can it take for a solo trip
Is it 21 inches from the bottom of the wheels up or not including the wheels?
very nice review,👍
