    There are lots of other channel in TH-cam giving tutorials about creating beautiful, cinematic videos on an Iphone but there are only few who managed to back them up with solid proof.
    You, sir, definitely one of these few. That video is beyond beautiful.
    Proof that you don't just have the technical ability but also the taste.
    Solid tips, concise presentation as well.
    Excellently done.

    Wow, Joey! The way you broke down your process for creating cinematic videos with the iPhone 15 Pro was incredibly insightful-especially the part about locking exposure and white balance to avoid those amateur shifts. And that dolly zoom effect on the train? Genius! For creators like me who often film solo and struggle with framing or lighting, a tool like MagMirror could be a game-changer. It wirelessly mirrors your phone’s back camera feed onto its screen, ensuring perfect framing every time, plus it offers professional lighting adjustments. I’m heading over to MagMirror’s channel for more content creation tips-hope to see you there!

    I’m watching this while staying in Chicago for the first time since I moved away several years ago and I’m feeling so nostalgic for shooting these streets… I’m here with my 15pm which I got for working in social media but I haven’t gotten the chance to use it much for personal content making. I wish so deeply that I had time for a street shoot but it was a quick visit before I head back to the northeast mountains.

    Hey Joey, amazing work! I see you used the 15 Pro, did you find the size comfortable or did you feel it was a bit small for filming? And how about the battery? I'm considering getting the 15 Pro but I'm unsure whether to go for the Pro Max and sacrifice a bit of daily comfort to make filming more comfortable, which is what I intend to get the most out of the phone for.

    Joey, I don't see reference to the USB cable you used while shooting on the gimble - did you simply make due with what came with your SSD? or did you indeed find that light, flexible cable that you recommend? Would be great to know where to find one that alsso supports the fast transfer speeds required.

    • @Joey_Helms
      @Joey_Helms  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The ones that come with the Samsung T series SSDs are okay. As long as it not a braided one you should be OK. This said I may be trying out a few cables to find an even lighter and flexible one to not stress the motors too much.

    • @steffeijen
      @steffeijen ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have tried many cables, including the one that came with the SSD, but all seem to be delivering that additional pull to the gimbal causing it to shut down. Have you found a cable that is light and flexible enough? Thanks!

    The short video was ridiculously impressive - kudos man!
    Did you say you didn't use cinematic mode much? Why's that?
    And all the hyper lapse shots - did you do that in post? Why not do it using the camera settings?
    And what fancy effect did you use for some cuts from shot to shot (like at 33 seconds in on this video - I noticed you used similar fancy transitions from cut to cut on the original video )
    At the end of the day, you've certainly convinced me this phone is impressive enough to shoot an actual movie with for sure (I thought about shooting a low-budget movie on a 5D Mark II [with the firmware hack so it can shoot 3K video] with a 50mm lens - but this phone looks to give more options as well as make filming easier).

  • @martinbparker
    @martinbparker 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Beautiful work! Very interested in know the various FPS you used. I’m stuck in a mindset that everything needs to be 60 FPS - especially with motion shots. Can you break down your choices and reasons for switching to different FPS modes? I feel I’m missing out on creating better quality shots by not changing up my FPS game. Also, I always use 4K. Do you ever switch that up too? Another question is about your Hyperlapse clips. Do you only create them in post or do you use the hyperlapse function on the gimble or both? Thanks for indulging my questions ✌️
