Man, I just bought a Used Jspec ECU for my NA Auto supra because it went bad... and now FINALLY a ECU came out to control it!! Whelp... Time to buy it so I can NA-T it no problem with one ECU
Those S series are nice just for the onboard O2, it's cheaper to buy an S2 than an 1500 + WB controller.😘 I have nothing with the contoller they work wonderful and in Canbus so its easy to wire, but it's another thing to find a place inside the car or engine bay. Why you need dual DBW in the S2 , same for the Dual Knock control ? S2, like the 1500, only manage 4 inj and ign so for very particular setup i guess.🤔
you'll be required to repin both on the ecu side as pin assignments have changed however after that everything will work as it did but with more features!
@@Mr_jz_12 My understanding is the R3 and R5 are VCUs and can supply power to your pumps and fans etc, as they have those big surlok electrical connectors on them. The S2 and S3 are just ecus, and cannot supply power to pumps and fans

Haltech for the win!
Needs DCT and zf 8speed controlers, not ancient transmissions...if it were to be perfect 😉
You can probably tune them yourself
Lol yeah.. 🤣
Who wants a 4 speed nowadays
Dual throttle control is a game changer at this level. Wish fulfilled now I need to buy one and put it on one of the junkers I have
Haltech for the win! Aussie Aussie Aussie oi oi oi!
I like videos that are crisp and direct

I’m still running the Platinum Sport 1000 lol
will you be doing a K series specific nexus like you did for the LS?
Not in the foreseeable future.
@@haltech sad.
I am like 134, Hopefully I get that number when I buy the S2
I just bought a e1500 3 weeks ago and it hasn’t shown up…
Will it get a OBD1 adapter similar to the elite 1500?
Does this unit do dual Can bus (Haltech Can and vehicle can)?
See the full list of features here: hal.tech/NEWSSeriesECUs
yes, both have 2 CAN ports and you can set them individually.
Can this control the Ford 6R80 transmission?
So no plug and play harness for the R34 GTR? Only seening for the R32

@@haltechI saw that but it says R32
It suite R34 too
Does this mean there is a successor coming for the R5 in the near future?
No. S and R are different series. R has PDM built-in, S does not. Both are part of the Nexus family.
No, it does not.
Can I reuse my dc5 elite 1500 plug and play harness adapter? Would all I have to do is repin one of the connectors off of he ecu side harness?
you'll be required to repin both on the ecu side as pin assignments have changed however after that everything will work as it did but with more features!
Are the connectors plug and play? Eg if I have an elite can I unplug it and connect an s series?
They are different connectors. The S-Series has more pins to accommodate the on-board wideband controller.
So this is an ECU, not a VCU?
Correct
Why does the S2/S3 universal wire-in harness appear to have no fuse box? Is there a premium version available?
errrrrrrrr. Because its the nexus ecu?!

No, there is no premium version available.
Kept that secret, just bought an elite1500 with all the bells and whistles even a uc10! feeling pissed off with haltech now
What’s the difference between the r3 and the s3
The R-Series has inbuilt power management hardware. The S-Series doesn't. There is a full comparison table here: www.haltech.com/ecu-buyers-guide/
Soooo it will work on my m113 ?!
APC!? 😂
@@haltech not the tank! Haha the Mercedes v8
Double check with our tech support team (www.haltech.com/contact-us), but we think it'll work!
Man!!!!!!!
So I'll need one of each to control my V-12?
We'd recommend an R5 for that
Be cool if you actually explained what it has over the 2500.
Keep your eyes peeled for an upcoming video on that ;)
Until then, check out the comparison chart on our website: www.haltech.com/ecu-buyers-guide/
@@haltech I was waiting for a labor day sale with my finger on the trigger. No luck, maybe Christmas :)
I can’t even afford an elite 2500 🥲
