Awesome video 📹 BigB, at first I couldn't wrap my mind around it being a mold, and why it was important for the inside to be class smooth while the outside was a hairy monster 🤩🧑🦽BB
Nice result mate. Would be cool to see one for the topside too, and how you did the frame around it etc? Have thought about making a mold before myself but never tried it properly.
They have a specific mold release wax, but I used several coats of turtle wax (car wax) wax on, then buff off.. Regular wax takes more coats and buffing..
Nice job looks good 👍

your video was the only one that helped me understand this...you earned a sub for the parts list
Thanks glad to help & welcome to the "boat gang"
I ALLWAYS WONDERD HOW THAT WAS DONE! THANKS
Nice video! Great content. Keep sharing
Great video 👍 nice building 👌
Amazing and very informative mate. Looks fantastic, good to learn especially if you loose a canopy or smash the boat.
Got me thinking, an extra hull lower section that fitted over an SR80 hull would be an interesting idea.
Nice work!
Thank you! Cheers!
I blinked. Wait! You forgot to tell me not to blink twice 😋
Don't blink, don't blink! Lol

I will make a topside video. 👍
@@IRONCLADRC thanks man
can i do this wit a small plastic hull?
Yep, I'm about to make a mold from a small plastic boat. It should be much easier with plastic
What kind of wax did you use before the gelcoat?

Hi You can mold a 1/4 crakerbox or deep vee. Tell me the price tnkz
I really don't have the time to lay up a mold this time of year. Winter project, if you still need it done, I could get to it September/ October
