Dim Sum is honestly just one of those all time classic comforting moments where people/friends/family get together and eat delicious food. I love how there's an AYCE option which is great for those who love these dishes but can't get enough of it! Great share Mike!! The Abalone Siu Mai looked insane!!
Dont stress too much about the time limit! Its generally sufficient to have a proper meal, even if you exceed a little they don’t chase you out. Unless you’re there for hoursssss then they might remind you.😅 Most of the time they don’t actually track you by the minute.
Some places have high turnover so they do rush you out, not uncommon in some Asian cities. People are polite but you can tell they are ready to clean your table the second you get up.
I love the dim sums here at Chinese restaurants. Three quarters of a century ago, tiny things ( dim sums) won't fill us, children up so we had those bigger steamed bread like Mapao with a thick slice of beef, Siopao with ground meat and whole salted egg, or Chaipao filled with sweetened vegetables either to eat at Chinatown, Manila or to go after seeing movie in Avenda Rizal or in Azcarraga.
I just love your videos. I'm trying not to be sad as I eat my late night bowl of cereal watching this. Hot and sour soup is my favorite as well. My friend who owned a restaurant in Chicago's China Town when I was a kid would make me eat a bowl of it each time I came in. She said it was healthy for me. She also got me addicted to long beans.
It as 3:30 in the morning. I didn't think I was hungry, but you proved me wrong. Singapore is all about the food. If I lived there I would have to walk during the summer in the middle of the day to sweat away all of the food I would be eating.
Yes, in the Philippines the elders love native chicken because they are tastier. The problem is that the meat is more fibrous and you need to really boil them to be tender... but the texture won't be the same as lightly cooked normal white chicken.
Eating your way to heaven, Mikey! Man, I wish I could easily visit Singapore again. Lived there for several years in my youth. Those buffets are so far superior and ubiquitous than those in SoCal, it's just not fair!

Most of us Americans absolutely do NOT know how to order Dim Sum. Loving this "educational" tutorial...which would be Great! Make a Dim Sum tutorial, Mike 😁!
I just love your videos! But I really miss all your friends. I always enjoyed the great interaction you have with your friends and enjoying meals together. I hope you can see them again.
Oh my goooooooooosh the AYCE Dim Sum buffet you did in Singapore a few years ago is my favourite of your videos and the place I'm determined to make it to one day - this video makes me so happy! I was hoping you'd find more Dim Sum buffets! Thanks for your amazing content as always Mikey. Really loving these videos in Singapore. Hope you and Christine are both well ❤️
Meng, do you realize how far you've come? I swear I remember you trying durian for the first time and then later hearing you say "The durian in this country just tastes better." You once said you didn't eat prawn heads and then I watch you say they're delicious. You once said you never eat sushi. We've seen you eat sushi 1,000 times since. Wow! Go you! Try that stinky tofu again 🤣
Thank you ❤ Your videos help me get through my issues with chronic pain and digestive issues. I have painful ibs, that means I cannot eat most of these foods. That along with my coconut allergy too, so I really love to see all the amazing stuff you eat! Thank you again for sharing with us all. 🎉😊
Dang I wish I could tag along lol your descriptions are vivid and you always seem to find the best spots! Looking forward to more series like this. Thanks Mike!
Looking forward to this! Keep up the good work Mikey!!!😊 You need to do one of these buffet visits live one of these days! Sure to be a special episode. I love all the pro tips, so Asian!
Hi Mike, you forgot to turn on the closed captioning. I'm bilateral deaf with 2 rare illnesses caused by Breast Cancer. I love all your videos and places where have been eating. Thank you. Wishing you and Christine the very best of everything, smiles of happiness, and abundant blessings now and forever.

I think I’ve figured it out! If Mike’s camera is positioned from an angle, he has company. If it’s directly in front of him, means he’s eating alone lol.
I already made my choice, I am going with the $16 buffet because I don't want to wait 20 minutes for my dim sum. Yea, its super fancy at the $62 buffet but the wait is unacceptable. When I see that, I presume they're trying to slow down the ordering. Its like the AYCE sushi places that maybe get out 3 or 4 orders within their time limit.
As always you are making me hungry ☺️. Everything looks so good. I've gotten better at making my dumplings thanks to your videos. As always, stay safe, take care and enjoy your lives, from your biggest fan from Arkansas 👍🏻☺️❤️
Nice intro to two different buffets! I agree that both of them are worth a stop, depening on the occasion! The difference in price is certainly reflected in the quality & selection of the dishes.
looks so good! thanks for informing us about the food, Mike! Btw, you have had avocado ice cream before, from the Philippines when you had the lechon with your friends Then again you forget with all the amazing food you are eating ^^

Dim Sum is making me so hungry! Also MIKEY! Did you see Japan is reopening in a few weeks for tourists? I'm headed there next month and I can't wait to see what 7-11 foods are still there that you recommended!
I went to Jing Fung in NYC Chinatown yesterday, they still come around with the cart. was such a lovely experience! My MIL reminded me 飲茶 (dim sum) is supposed to last for hours as my husband and I gorged down baskets of food. 🤣
How does Mike, who is Chinese, not know about Lao Mu Ji Tang, and how amazing the broth is but the chicken gets incredibly hard. Sometimes I question how much he really knows.
Dim sum is a Thing Of Beauty in my world, and you've got me wanting to see if there's a good dim sum joint here in Dallas that I can go to some time soon! I hope the restaurant didn't get after you for whipping out your own hot oil? Soup dumplings are one of my favorite things in life, further.
Most buffets especially in America are not pleasant, people have rioted fighting for crab legs, people fighting on the ground, man and woman slugging it out, beware when the server brings out the bowls, all he'll breaks loose no civilized America anymore , we never come near those places!
