Exactly my thoughts, when I caught up with both the manga and anime, I was like, “but I want moreeee” 😂. Sucks to have to wait a week every time for an episode, plus sometimes the chapters from the manga get released every two weeks. 😩
Heres some advice I give to One Piece beginners: Don't worry about catching up. That should be the last thing on your mind. One Piece is an Adventure. Adventures are about the Journey, not the Destination. One Piece is like a Roller Coaster. You get on to enjoy the ride, not worry about getting to the end. So if you're constantly worried about the Destination then you'll never enjoy the Journey. Just focus on enjoying every second of this ride that you're on. Do that and you won't go wrong. This is a grand journey you've just started. A literal modern epic. It's starts off slow but gradually morphs into the most insane, wacky, but legendary tale you'll be glad you ever experienced. Trust me you can't even imagine whats in store for you. Have fun with this one.
One Piece is too short imo, I don’t want it to ever end but everything comes to an end eventually 😢. So enjoy your ride fully with the Straw Hat pirates cause it would get to a day where the whole journey ends and we are going to feel empty and cry like crazy.

I started this series last year, today, i am in chapter 1004 of the manga and i am still impressed with the way, Oda, the author, is able to keep the series this fresh and amazing. I agree with some comment i read here that describes it as "a modern epic". The amount of epicness and humanity in every tiny character in a show that, at first look, seems so childish is impresive...But it has even more, so much more!

I've seen all the big 3 anime and out of all the 3 anime OP has probably the darkest themes out of them such as slavery, racism, drugs, human-trafficking, genocide, human experiments, corrupt government and even forced labors.
It's long as hell, yes... did that freak me out last year when I started it yes..., but when I had 100 Eps left, was I sad that I was about to be caught up...YES! 😢

One Piece somehow manages to blend multiple tones to become the perfect combination of Serious & Silly. You could get through it faster if you read the Manga. Or you could use it to boost your channel. Though that would depend on your editing skills and the kind of energy you give off when reacting. If you do choose to react to it on the channel, I'm sure plenty of people in the community will chime in with advice to help you get through the series, such as giving you a list of the filler to skip. But who knows. Try watching it on your own. If you think your reaction is something you want to share with us on youtube then by all means post it. If not? thats ok too. I don't think it matters what you choose so long as you have your own fun going through the story.

Yes ik one piece seems childish. Especially since I do like the openings but there's no question they don't properly display the animes story which I don't mind that much. However this may look childish but it's not you'll realise as u progress, it's the perfect mix of dark, happy, twisted, jolly, interesting humor. Other than the fun jokes and friendship this consists of themes of : Slavery Murder Gang wars Tyrant rulers Underworld Oppression Racism Corruption Etc Even eating people I mean one of the characters ships peoples parents decapitated head to people for not attending him/her tea party. Fair warning , one piece is in no way a light hearted anime . Sure there are funny moments which will make you cry laughing , super hype moments and some pacing issues but every single arc it will make you cry , there is just lots and lots of sad backstory and events
One thing I notice that a lot of reactors comment is how chill the OP's are (little fighting and more just the crew hanging out). Which is funny to me because that's one of the best things in OP for me lmao. They're always either fighting a threat or saving someone, so those interactions I savor as much as possible.
If you're thinking of watch One Piece, you should check One Pace. Its a fan version without the Toei filler. Just the canon history and I can tell that is a lot more enjoyable for beginers.

There is the legendary 24th opening that all ‘true’ one piece fans love. The 4kids opening. Context.............4kids tv accidentally bought the rights to dub one piece back in the early 2000s and tried to make it g rated by removing all blood, alcohol, smoking, most of the guns and about 20ish cannon episodes episodes to sell merch for one of the cute characters before they lost their rights. But their opening the pirate rap still bops
One piece openings don't really do justice to the anime, I mean the songs are great but, 90% visuals are filler added by the anime staff to avoid the viewers getting spoiled like the ship flying and all the same type of visuals are exaggeration from the anime staff (though the last 2-3 ones have been showing more) one piece is great from the start, it's pretty dark for it's medium (shounen), it tackles themes like slavery, racism, history magnificently. It has the best World building in any story in fiction, great Characters overall, it's a great journey, if you're interested check out the video "why you should read/ watch one piece"

Ironically I started watching one piece because it was long. My brother got me into watching anime when I was young and Naruto was one of my first anime and Naruto is pretty long. My brother actually tried to get me into watching one piece I said I would watch it when I finished another anime I was watching. At this point I hadn’t watched any anime for like 3-4 years then my younger brother was like you should watch this anime my hero academia it has like four seasons it so good.so I tried watching it it wasn’t bad but I lost interest so I started looking for other anime then I came across one piece and long running anime wasn’t something new to me. It had 900+ episodes I did a bit of research and decided to watch it. Usually i drop shows because I loose interest but the story was intriguing. I’ve just started the pink hazard arc and I’m in no rush to catch up to the latest episode.

Luffy's the captain, Zoro's a swordsman and hes also pretty level-headed so he's basically the vice captain, Nami's the navigator, Usopp's the sniper, Chopper's the doctor, Robin's the archeologist, Franky's the shipwright, Brook's the musician, and Jinbe's the helmsman. I personally can't see Carrot being part of the crew, as the all the major roles seem to have been taken. But then again, I can also see her being a part of the crew for the sake of diversity, and she's also pretty close with them already. So who knows, there's probably a 70% chance shes gonna join.
@Viper she can be a scout/bird-watcher, a role where you are needed to stay on the bird nest at the top of the main mast of the ship. And she already showed that skills multiple times during the WCI arc.

Luffy's the captain, Zoro's a swordsman and hes also pretty level-headed so he's basically the vice captain, Nami's the navigator, Usopp's the sniper, Chopper's the doctor, Robin's the archeologist, Franky's the shipwright, Brook's the musician, and Jinbe's the helmsman. I personally can't see Carrot being part of the crew, as the all the major roles seem to have been taken. But then again, I can also see her being a part of the crew for the sake of diversity, and she's also pretty close with them already. So who knows, there's probably a 70% chance shes gonna join.
@Viper she can be a scout/bird-watcher, a role where you are needed to stay on the bird nest at the top of the main mast of the ship. And she already showed that skills multiple times during the WCI arc.
@alain unfortunately, she's not confirmed yet. But there might be a chance that she join the crew. It's either her or Yamato or better both. A scout for Carrot and an adventurer for Yamato (like Oden).
