Yeah it’s even longer than you think. There’s the 11 seasons of the main show then about 4 spin offs. People probably said it already but it’s been about 2 months since the apocalypse began.

The zombie girl with the teddy, Morgan's wife with turning the door knob and the running zombies that attack the horse and devour it by the tank in Atlanta City were under different show writers for the first few episodes and they were basically experimenting.

Lori saying that horrible thing in front of Carl is totally, always unacceptable. It's not a difference between men and women (as Rick said), it the difference between shitty people and normal people. My husband and I agreed at the time that we would never say something like that in the presence of our kids, because you never drag your kids into your marriage. My mother was brutally abused by my father, but I never found out about it from her; it was from my own memory, and other people around us. That's the one line from Rick that I think is awful. No, RIck, it's not a difference between men and women, it's a difference between normal people and spiteful people.

The thing that Shane forgets (weirdly, because he's a cop and should know this), is that women have to work at survival in a lot of cases, and keeping the house lit is one way we use to not be surprised. It's better to waste electricity, than be surprised by an intruder, which is a thing that happens. ETA: Lighting is also used to signal that there is at least one person (perhaps more) in the house, so it's not a good target.

AMC put out accompanying webisodes on their website the first few seasons. At least the first one is worth watching but they are low budget and the acting isn't that great. You can probably still find them on youtube. Again at least the first one is worth watching.
