I began my One Piece journey a month ago and I’ve already cried like 10 times this show hits you in the heart SO HARD Chopper is also a sweet little baby who must be protected at all costs
Op 5- Kokoro no Chizu has always been in my top 5 favs forever lol. The rest of my top 5 will be in your part 2. Also, always makes my laugh when people see Chopper’s transformation points, and yes Tony Tony Chopper talks. Chopper the blue nose reindeer the “Rudolph” made me laugh.

This is a spoiler-free comment. Based on what I saw in this video, I believe you would be a fantastic One Piece reactor and I will be checking out other reactions you have done. The reasons I think you would be a good fit for One Piece Include, but are not limited too... 1: Your love of back-stories. One Piece is well know for it's back-stories, and even one-off characters can be given absolutely wonderfully-crafted back-stories. 2: Your theory-crafting. This is something the One Piece community loves to do and something the community adores watching reactors do. 3: You were very observant and caught things in the intros a lot of other reactors missed(such as the changing clothes, the names of the characters, etc.). This will be a big boon to you if you attempt to go through the series as Oda loves putting in little jokes, gags and foreshadowing that will come up later on in the series. If you do give the show a watch I'd recommend watching it on Twitch, uploading the unedited videos behind the paywalls of Patreon and TH-cam, and uploading edited vids free on TH-cam. There are episode guides that will help you progressed through the series, but you should set a cap for yourself to avoid burning out. I hope I get to say "welcome aboard" to you in the near future. You would adore this anime especially when we get into world building comedy lore and the most well thought out connected and emotional story telling in history with no plot holes

When you think about it, One Piece really doesn't have that many openings for the scale it's at, it has "only" 24 (soon 25, a new one should be coming out in the following months) for almost 1100 episodes (we're at 1060+ currently, can't remember the exact number) Usually anme seasons are 12 to 24 episodes, and each season gets 1 opening, sometimes 2 for the 24 episodes seasons, while One Piece openings are used for around a year each time. Because of that you'll notice that after (I think) opening 6 or 7, they started doing longer openings of 2 minutes instead of the usual 1 min 30 seconds, to cover more stuff so it stays relevant for longer, but I'm honestly thankful for that because if they sticked to the usual 12 episodes / opening we'd be at opening 88 or 89, or 44 openings if they stayed for 24 episodes.
It is though. The one you’re talking about is super advanced for a reason. Everything in one piece is based on medieval times roughly. Except for a few things.

The openings themselves don't showcase the events of the actual story entirely most of the time. Its usually like 30% of the actual events taking place, so you don't get a lot of spoilers to the events taking place. Which is good since the story takes some twists and turns that will just blow you away. In all honesty, its the closest thing you can find to a modern Odyssey so i wholeheartly reccomend it.
Eichiro Oda has been working on this story since he was a kid. Decades of time and effort went into this. If you do end up watching the show, it's fantastic.
I bet you will love One Piece after watching this show.....Watch or read this show with your own way slowly. A thounsand of episodes are not an obstacle
