One Piece is pretty long... Right now there's 1011 episodes and 1040 chapters. But, here is the thing... When you catch up, you'll ask for 1000 more episodes and chapters. It's not a joke, this is how good One Piece is! Don't worry about the length, you don't need to see everything at once. 1 episode per week, is fine! You only have to enjoy the story.
@@BubbysWorld Just watch a couple episodes a day, they are around 18 - 22 mins long if you don't count the intros and recaps. If you watch 2 - 3 episodes a day, it's like watching an episode from a TV - show which usually lasts around 45 - 55 mins. I had that mindset when I first started watching it, but then after not a lot of time had passed, I started loving it and binged it in less than 6 months. I personally feel like you should try to not focus on catching up and more on just enjoying the ride. Because when you've caught up, you'll want to experience it for the first time again.
One piece I can tell you is full of all types of drama including tragedy and Oda is a saint at connecting things from throughout all the episodes. Basically there's an importance to every character and moment and that's one thing besides from the journey I love about one piece.
I like how most people see brook as this evil incarnate while he's actually the opposite of it even his voice is sweet he's my favorite character ngl.....specially in whole cake island arc he was the MVP...
actually the guy you keep seeing in the intros is Gold Roger, he was the King of the Pirates and upon his execution he told people that if they wanted his treasure, they had to go out and find it. this sparked The Great Pirate Era and from that point on, it was considered that whoever finds the One Piece shall become the NEW King of the Pirates. Luffy dreams of being just that, so he sails out on a Dinghy with no crew and sets off on his quest, making friends along the way who have their own dreams and aspirations, sailing with him to help him achieve his goals as well as trying to make their dreams come true in the process. the worldbuilding in this anime is insane, to which i'll add that none of these villains are really hunting Luffy, as a matter of factly they are the villains that he comes across on his journey to become King of the Pirates, while Luffy is a Pirate he has a heart of gold and has an absolute beef with ANYONE who cares to trash on another person's dreams. so as he increases his notoriety throughout the story, he's getting that notoriety by doing nothing evil. as for the Red Haired guy, that's Shanks, Luffy's mentor and not his dad, though in a way he can be considered one, since Luffy looks up to him so much.
I normally don't comment unless it's about crucial lore but i love your interaction with the videos as you watch them. It's pretty cool because a lot of reactions just let you watch the openings with them and rarely comment and critique them. Keep up the good work.
Unfortunately that means he doesn't really pay attention (or at least doesn't acknowledge it) to the music, which is arguably one of the most important parts of an opening.
- The last intro you reacted to was a special opening to celebrate 1000 episodes where they redid the 1st Opening to show how far we've come - OP 7 and 10th were also different versions of the 1st op in the 7th one the VA's of the strawhat crew sang the song and the 10th one was a remix - Opening 17th (the one where the fat black-beard guy spoke) was a 15th anniversary special op which is why the strawhats had those fancy outfits - The last few openings have that old japanese aesthetic cuz the island they visit is based off of Japan and is closed off from the rest of the world
Heh, anyone who claims the “too long” thing are just keeping themselves from thinking how to manage their time. I’m sure you can manage your time too enough watch the series which is quite the roller coaster ride in of itself.
I run multiple channels, livestream, have a full time job, and a personal life. I could watch an episode or 2 a night and that will be every night for years to come and i still wont be caught up. I manage my time as tightly as possible and still dont have time to do most of what i want to do. Not some, most. Some people simply don't have the time period.
@@BubbysWorld With all due respect, I disagree, because I've known people like that, but if you still really feel that way, you can always speed through the manga which is pretty great. In any case, hope more time opens up to you as life goes on, and enjoy what we all enjoy!
@electricmastro you literally cant disagree with me, its fact. do not have the time to watch one piece. It doesnt matter what you think 🤣. I appreciate your can do attitude but i guarantee you dont know anyone who stays as busy as me.
@@BubbysWorld you don’t necessarily need to watch the anime to enjoy one piece. Reading the manga is a good alternative for people who don’t have time. One chapter will take you less than 5 minutes and I’d argue I would only take a few months at most to catch up to the current events.
@@BubbysWorld Thats fair. Everybody's situation is different. I've known people with multiple jobs and kids who've managed to catch up in less than a month. If you think it's too much for you then I'm not going to disagree. However I will say that your mindset of "catching up" is holding you back. Thing is you COULD just watch 2 episodes a day. Or even just one. It doesn't matter. Because catching up isn't whats important. As long as you're enjoying the story you can catch up whenever you want. Theres no rush. People really need to stop thinking theres some kind of deadline for catching up or something. There isn't. If you end up watching and find out that you enjoy it, then just enjoy the ride. Because now that just means you have a good series to watch and you won't have to worry about running out of episodes. Because I can tell you from experience once you're deep into the series you will begin to FEAR the thought of catching up. Because it means you'll run out of episodes. Thats the kind of experience One Piece is. But hey if it's still not for you then thats fine. I'm just saying the idea of watching a couple episodes at a time shouldn't be much of a deal breaker.
I love hearing what people say about the character and story line, when they have no idea what is happening. Just more fun and funny to hear your thoughts.
You know it's a real blind reaction, when they say literaly everything wrong. If everyone you say is a villain is a villain, they would have died on like episode 30 or something.
I love your reaction but I must tell you that technically Luffy like all pirates are criminals in this setting the only difference is that some pirate crews are generally ok and do some good and other crews are extremely violent and are villains. The guy in the 1st opening getting executed is Gol D. Rogers the former pirate king he left all his wealth in "one piece" and who ever gets to it will become the next pirate king
Your analysis is hilarious. I would 100% love to see you react to One Piece episodes. If you’re looking for lore and just an amazing story with tons of history and world building, One Piece is the show for you.
If you want to get started with one piece, there are 2 routes: 1) Watch the anime episode by episode, with the filler being optional. 2) Read the manga to speed through and watch the clips of your favorite moments animated as you go on. I did the second one and it only took me roughly a month to catch up
People are always so focused on the visuals that they don't notice opening 7 SOUNDS different, it's the first opening sung by the crew, I believe it was for the 5th anniversary, later remixed for the 10th opening, and then played on episode 1000 with modern designs, animation and crew
the first repeat of the first opening was a special opening for the filler/recaps when the anime had caught up to the manga but instead it was the main cast singing it, then the second time was to mark 1000 episodes and it was re animated for how they all look now and all the new members
One piece would rip you to shreads, pull you to places you never thought you'd go. It'll make you openly gasp, laugh your ass off, and cry... cry a lot. It will make you fall in love with the straw hat crew, and anything that happens to them you will take personally. Think of the length like this: If you don't watch one piece, yes, you could definitely watch 3-4 other anime in the meantime. But they aren't one piece, they aren't nearly as incredible. Imagine watching an anime that not only doesn't have an end, but gets better and better over the course of the show. They can't run out of interesting material because the show is so ridiculous that you can't expect what will happen next. There is no boredom factor. Fuck, even the filler is good! So, knowing that you now have a show that is not only good, but is guaranteed to easily become one of the greatest piece of media that you have ever consumed. If you pick up one piece. You likely won't regret it, and it will be the only show that you’ll want to watch for the next 8-12 months.
“What happened to cowboy guy? We haven’t seen him in a while…” Literally said on the opening that solely focuses on that character while he’s on screen 🤣
If you love storytelling and characters then this is for you and don't worry the animation gets much better even though it's okay the past animation. Also, love your reaction because you comment on a lot of staff and most people just sit there sometimes I also love the smoking dude that may get lung cancer the simp king

The Marines own some pirates that luffy fights, that's why there are pirates and marines working together sometimes. Luffy wants to become the pirate king so basically almost every person on the planet should be his enemy
So basically the setup of the series is that there was a pirate king named Gol D. Roger who was the greatest pirate in the world and when he was being executed he said he left all his treasure and his greatest one the one piece on the last island in the world that only he has been to. It basically started a revolution and caused a large amount of people to try to become Pirates to find his treasure that he left. Obviously everything's a thousand times more complicated than that but that's the premise. Saying anything more will be spoilers.
the thing with one piece and its antagonists is that it is hard to say who is actualy "bad" and who is "good". its about pirate groups searching for a treasure, and the strawhats, our main protagonists, are just ONE crew out of thousands. some are evil in nature, some are more nice, some build alliances, some break alliances, and thats its just the pirates. than there is the navy/marines, and a group that is somewhat supposed to be the CIA of the one piece world, called the CP units and on top of all that is the world governemnt. and the same that goes for the pirates, goes for the marines. there a good ones, bad ones and really fcked up ones. sometimes its really hard to tell if someone has evil intentions or not, there is a lot of goosip, trators, rivalrys and what not. if you ever start watching it, there is a movie remake/summary version of the first like 30 episodes or so, that will give you a good start. it is called "episodes of east blue" because especially the first original episodes can be awful to watch. its because this anime wasnt supposed to be that long, and after the maker of the series saw the success, they started to put A TON LOT of more effort into the episodes. anyways, have fun
A lot of the fans even mess this up, but One Piece was never "hand drawn," or rather on cels which is what people mean when they say "hand drawn." One Piece has always been animated on pen and paper and digitally colored and composited making it an early digipaint anime. This is why attempts to upscale it tend to look so bad. Unlike with cel animation which is on film stock which can be ported to higher quality formats easily, OP is a series that was exported in archaic digital formats. The first two movies are on cels though. What you're mistaking for that "low quality cel look" is actually just ancient compression on old videos. Watch a youtube video from 2007 on a 4K display to see what I mean. Also if you're reading this and love collecting anime or cartoons, this is why blu rays of shows from the 2000s tend to look barely better than on DVDs and are usually a scam, all the blu ray offers is a better bitrate on the video which may help with artifacting when lots of stuff is on screen.
Most simple explanation of Luffy's power are things called devil fruits. Basically if someone eats them they get the power of the devil fruit. Luffy basically ate a fruit that turns his body into rubber so he can stretch basically any part of his body. The downside of eating a double fruit is that you can no longer swim. There is only one devil fruit for each type of power. If someone with that powers dies than the fruit will spawn somewhere else and somebody else can eat it
Imagine, one piece doesn't end with luffy finding the one piece, it ends cause the crew disbands after sanji dies of lung cancer. man that would be a dark turn
Show deals with racism, slavery, unjust societal structures, corruption in government, building friendship, healthy communications, patience in chasing ones goals, admitting defeat or when you need help, parental abuse, random acts of kindness, random acts of evil. It truly is a microcosm of humanity and only such a length of runtime allows it to be able to explore all of those concepts in pace that never feels forced or virtue signaling, just the pace of life and the different struggles that come with it while searching for a piece of happiness and freedom.

I was always worried about the length, but when I started watching it, time went fast. It is easy to binge. Oda leaves you wanting more and more. After getting into it, length wasn’t an issue. Hearing the show will end soon kinda hurts.
once you start watching it, you don't wanna finish anymore 💔
Its like a money you will want more if you liked it
Soon as in 5-7 Years or so because there is still Elbaf and i am pretty surethere was Kano (where Cinjao is from) but perhaps thats never gonna be an arc. And also they must still fight against Shanks and Blackbeard and there is also the final battle against the World Goverment and also getting to Raftel (Laughtale) where the One piece is and also still that Joyboy stuff whatever that is aboout.
@@falco05 the final war is going to be the best arc in anime history of all time

I remember the days when I used to say "it's too long". Now, I hate that I have to wait a week or 2 for the next chapter/episode 🤣
Especialy now where Toei Animatons has been Hacked because of which it may be delayed to about 2 weeks or so just because some Fucker thought it was Funny.

To clarify their rolls on the ship, Luffy is the Captain, Zoro is the swordsman and vice captain, Nami(orange hair girl) is the navigator, Usopp(long nose) is the sniper/liar, Sanji(blonde bowl cut) is the cook, Chopper is the doctor(medical), Robin(leather girl) is the archaeologist, Franky(speedo cyborg) is the shipwreight/carpenter, Brook(skeleton) is the musician, and the blue monster guy is a fishman named Jinbei that acts as their helmsman.
I like how the "liar" is an official position.
Yes there are two separate major groups of antagonists. The Strawhats fight other Pirates just as much as they fight the Marines/Goverment.
That would take me 20 years to catch up at that rate...
@@BubbysWorld Don't worry about catching up. Binging slowly is fun. I have caught up and the one week wait for each episode is painful.
One piece I can tell you is full of all types of drama including tragedy
and Oda is a saint at connecting things from throughout all the episodes.
Basically there's an importance to every character and moment
and that's one thing besides from the journey I love about one piece.
Bruh u r the first actually good reacter with good criticism.

I like how most people see brook as this evil incarnate while he's actually the opposite of it even his voice is sweet he's my favorite character ngl.....specially in whole cake island arc he was the MVP...
yo-ho-ho-ho!
actually the guy you keep seeing in the intros is Gold Roger, he was the King of the Pirates and upon his execution he told people that if they wanted his treasure, they had to go out and find it. this sparked The Great Pirate Era and from that point on, it was considered that whoever finds the One Piece shall become the NEW King of the Pirates.
"This looks bright and colorful"
Yeah, that was the mistake we all made
I normally don't comment unless it's about crucial lore but i love your interaction with the videos as you watch them. It's pretty cool because a lot of reactions just let you watch the openings with them and rarely comment and critique them. Keep up the good work.
Honestly though I like to hear the opening as people are watching it. I prefer commentary afterwards but it was a good video nonetheless.
Unfortunately that means he doesn't really pay attention (or at least doesn't acknowledge it) to the music, which is arguably one of the most important parts of an opening.
"There's hope for everybody in this anime"
Listening to HOPE
Rogers gonna have a rough time stopping luffy from getting the one piece
i refuse to believe this guy isn't doing a try to talk non stop for 57:31 challenge
"Upbeat, happy, the hero wins...always type of anime" well yes but really NO 😂
Glad I found another genuinely charismatic reactor
- The last intro you reacted to was a special opening to celebrate 1000 episodes where they redid the 1st Opening to show how far we've come
- OP 7 and 10th were also different versions of the 1st op in the 7th one the VA's of the strawhat crew sang the song and the 10th one was a remix
- Opening 17th (the one where the fat black-beard guy spoke) was a 15th anniversary special op which is why the strawhats had those fancy outfits
- The last few openings have that old japanese aesthetic cuz the island they visit is based off of Japan and is closed off from the rest of the world
Heh, anyone who claims the “too long” thing are just keeping themselves from thinking how to manage their time.
His dad is not the guy with the red hair(shanks). His dad is alive and also shown in some of the openings you watched.
I died from laughter when he said roger was the main villan who is looking for the one piece
I love seeing you react to anime openings you’re the best man.
My god is your reaction goated.
The fact that you noticed that the ship fell from the sky and questioned it was great.
I love hearing what people say about the character and story line, when they have no idea what is happening. Just more fun and funny to hear your thoughts.
You know it's a real blind reaction, when they say literaly everything wrong. If everyone you say is a villain is a villain, they would have died on like episode 30 or something.
Literally 0.2 seconds after seeing Ace for the first time--This Guy: Is that his fucking brother?
Me: 0_o
I love your reaction but I must tell you that technically Luffy like all pirates are criminals in this setting the only difference is that some pirate crews are generally ok and do some good and other crews are extremely violent and are villains. The guy in the 1st opening getting executed is Gol D. Rogers the former pirate king he left all his wealth in "one piece" and who ever gets to it will become the next pirate king
Your analysis is hilarious. I would 100% love to see you react to One Piece episodes. If you’re looking for lore and just an amazing story with tons of history and world building, One Piece is the show for you.
If you want to get started with one piece, there are 2 routes:
1) Watch the anime episode by episode, with the filler being optional.
We have been in the Japan land in the manga since July 2018. Longest arc so far and kept me invested every week
I love how your commentary was actaully funny even if it was stupid love the vids man.
love your videos dude, every one i've watched has made me laugh, the lung cancer arc joke killed me, can't wait for another one
3:26 What!? It's not main villain, He is the Pirate king GOL D ROGER
What do you expect? He didn't start the anime yet
the first repeat of the first opening was a special opening for the filler/recaps when the anime had caught up to the manga but instead it was the main cast singing it, then the second time was to mark 1000 episodes and it was re animated for how they all look now and all the new members
33:46 clearly you haven't beign paying attention

Fun fact : the clown and the guy with scars on the eye are best buds
"Always hero wins type" story 😂😂
Him: They need to go to the calm belt.

No defuck its not..... Missing everything in the openings and talks over important scenes in openings, ignoring them. Kind of frustrating for me as a one piece fan💀
@@mcallistaircampbell8422 what do you expect, he has no idea about What's happening
@@ticklemonster_FR1020 i get that but he is actually talking over important scenes. Come on man its like super obvious Ace dies and bro was confusing Ace with Shanks and thought Luffy was a dragon with his gear 4th transformation.
Ability of main character (Luffy) is his body litarally like rubber, thats why he can make his arms so long and also bullets or blades cant hurt him (but only against weak opponent because if you good enough at sword for example then you can cut giant rocks) thats because he ate devil fruit called "Gum fruit/Rubber fruit" there is special fruits called "Devil fruits" nobody know how many fruits exist because its too many of them, every devil fruit have its own ability and if you eat one of them then you'll get its ability, you can eat only 1 fruit overwise you'll die
IIRC, he was never too good against blades -- he is mainly resistant to blunt attacks like cannonballs, but rubber is not exactly hard to cut.
"Who is that guy he looks sorta like Luffy is he his brother?"
Me: That was really just a guess?
luffy: *literally punches the dragon*

Just so you know about the flying ship part, it's not so much flying. It's more like rocket boosts that cost fuel to do the rocket jump. Great for emergency movement though.

I gotta get back to uploading
Saying anything more will be spoilers.
the thing with one piece and its antagonists is that it is hard to say who is actualy "bad" and who is "good".
its about pirate groups searching for a treasure, and the strawhats, our main protagonists, are just ONE crew out of thousands.
some are evil in nature, some are more nice, some build alliances, some break alliances, and thats its just the pirates.
than there is the navy/marines, and a group that is somewhat supposed to be the CIA of the one piece world, called the CP units and on top of all that is the world governemnt.
and the same that goes for the pirates, goes for the marines. there a good ones, bad ones and really fcked up ones.
sometimes its really hard to tell if someone has evil intentions or not, there is a lot of goosip, trators, rivalrys and what not.
if you ever start watching it, there is a movie remake/summary version of the first like 30 episodes or so, that will give you a good start.
it is called "episodes of east blue"
because especially the first original episodes can be awful to watch. its because this anime wasnt supposed to be that long, and after the maker of the series saw the success,
they started to put A TON LOT of more effort into the episodes.
anyways, have fun
A lot of the fans even mess this up, but One Piece was never "hand drawn," or rather on cels which is what people mean when they say "hand drawn."
One Piece has always been animated on pen and paper and digitally colored and composited making it an early digipaint anime.
If someone with that powers dies than the fruit will spawn somewhere else and somebody else can eat it
If you want to see clown man fight you just need to watch the first few episodes!
Sanji’s (the one that keeps smoking) last name is literally Vinsmoke
Also most imagery in the openings isn't what is exactly happening in the show just random adventures stuff
Chopper is a reindeer that ate the Human-Human devil Fruit, gaining the power to turn into various archetypes of a human. He is the Crew’s doctor.
