    In this video I go over the top 5 best solar systems to build outpost networks in.
    If you enjoy this kind of content, please consider leaving a like and subscribe on your way out. It helps push the video into the algorithm for more people to see and lets me know what you want to see!
    What is an outpost network? I consider an outpost network as a series of planets that extract/harvest resources and then push those resources to a desired planet (your hub planet) through cargo links. This enables you to be able to stop at ONE planet and craft anything you would ever need for you and your companion as well as grab resources to fill any cargo contract.
    Building ALL outposts in a single solar system makes navigating simple and intuitive as well as eliminates the need for fuel (helium-3) to run your cargo links.

    Thanks and enjoy the video!

    Put some serious time into scouting solar systems and editing this one! If you could, please consider dropping a like on your way out and subscribing if you'd like to see more Starfield content like this in the near future! Thanks!
    Edit: Added timestamps! Also recommend Rank 1 Planetary Habitation to fully take advantage of a lot of these systems (colonizing deep freeze planets mostly)

    Most resource rich planets have an extreme condition, i.e. you cannot build outposts on them until you substantially advance your outpost skills into the last tier.

    Btw, those big swarming foxes on Schrödinger III are the only place, outside a few vendors, to get luxury textiles that I’ve found. They all drop it. Just in case you’ve been looking for them for your crafting. Spent a half hour hunting them and got almost 200. Because they swarm!

    Folks, just use Inara Starfield, there you can "see" any system you pass through, with ALL available resources, and most important, ALL the resources who can grow in greenhouses & animal farms, more important than minerals...
    And, as a general rule, DO NOT chose places with only Al or only Fe - search for planets who have BOTH these resources on the same spot, (intersecting biomes, usually "mountains" & "craters" - land BETWEEN them and find a spot where both are present ) find that sweet spot where both biomes come near, so you can have extractors for Aluminum AND Iron in the same base.
    Build DOUBLE big containers, connect the top one to fabricators, have the lower one always filled.
    Iron and Aluminum are the "core" materials, your first base should start with those.
    Later on, you should build in-sys cargo link for all basic resources ( Cu, Fl, Ti, etc) all directed to that "main" base, so you can have access at ALL the resources present in that system IN ONE PLACE.

      Eridani is a solid choice! Loaded system for being such a low level. 95% of everything you'd ever need in one system, so no need to have to build any outposts outside of Eridani! Got more Starfield content coming in the pipeline soon. I appreciate the support!

      I just started the Starfield content. Coming from 100+ hours of building fallout 4 settlements (but sadly never recording them, only taking pictures of finished builds), Starfield outposts seemed like a natural fit for me. Especially seeing that no one was really covering the aspects of outposts that I have been. I'll be doing a lot more Starfield content in the future and already doing pre production for the next outpost video. I appreciate the support!

    I setup an outpost on a moon with hel3 and have it as a transfer for out of system resources. Got some extractors on the transfer sending hel3 to said outposts and having storage on those planets linking incoming to the fuel tanks.

      Can absolutely do this for sure if you don't mind having your outposts scattered throughout multiple star systems. W/ rank1 outpost management, unlocking the 6 cargo link, you can definitely position yourself to be able to spread that helium 3 far and wide. Can essentially send it infinite times from planet to planet to planet. That's exactly what I did in my original play through. For me it was just a pain having all my outposts scattered everywhere.

    Thanks for the helpful video. Unfortunately, if you pick a planet meant to spawn a temple for Power from Beyond, your temple will never spawn. I made three outposts on Bessel III-B based on a suggestion. I have paid the hefty price of not being able to progress since September.

    Great vid. I just stated playing the game. Have spent 2 weeks playing and up to level 102. I need help. I built a outpost on bessel 3 to make icocentric magnets. Then a outpost on unum to build taugrade reostats. Sorry if spelled wrong. Then with those build thousands of com arrays and sell them at the den. This is how ive ranked up so quickly and made over 5 mil in credits. I need a system that has all those resources so i dont have to jump back and forth. Also the local UT time needs to be fairly good like on bessel 3. Also can you build more than one outpost on the same moon or planet? If so with the transfer module send and receive resources to an outpost on the same moon or planet? Ive yet to dive into the animal husbandry and greenhouse floral aspects of the game but will as soon as i can figure out how one sets up these outposts that your talking about. Love the game even tho the mission locations to go kill a bad guy are always the same and a lot of cut and paste missions. Also getting into ship collecting. Stealing and boarding are fun. If you could make a video showing how to setup these bases and how all the resources are being sent to a hub would be great. Thks for your help and glad to see some folks are still putting out new content of this game.

Update your own outpost network and ships collection with the GoldStar 3 and the GoldStar family of ship designs wich will bring securety and top defence agains pirates and other ships that wants to attack your network. Have some free fun in mounting legendery Ship defence with the GoldStar DREADNOUGHT or other GoldStar ships desings. They did not get destroyed not a single time eaven from the start of the game against battleships. Have a nice day

    Nice vid - I give it an A- for content and a B for pronunciation. I have to disagree with you on a couple of points, however. While all of these systems are top-tier for the sheer quantity of resources, they aren't perfect, especially with regard to organic resources (i.e., those obtained from flora and fauna.) There are four organic resources that I regularly find myself in need of: adhesive, lubricant, sealant and solvent. While I believe all of these resources can be obtained in your top-5 systems, they can't all be obtained in any of these systems using greenhouses and husbandry facilities alone. (This is more of a knock on Bethesda than you.) Let's take your "hub" planet of Charybdis III (pronounced kuh-RIB-dis, BTW) as an example. Your video claims that it's a "great candidate for animal husbandries and greenhouses." Uh, no. Of the 3 species of flora, only spitting goatweed is domesticable, producing fiber. Two of the 8 fauna species are aquatic, making them non-domesticable and difficult to harvest in the wild. (BTW, can someone at Bethesda please explain why a spacesuit that can protect me from the vacuum of space can't withstand me stepping in a puddle or passing through a whiff of chlorine gas??) None of the remaining 6 fauna species are domesticable. Yes, you can get lubricant, sealant and solvent "in the wild," but who wants to waste time and ammo grabbing these resources one at a time? Charybdis II fares better, with 14 of the 19 flora and fauna species being domesticable, but even then, there are 3 resources (sealant, nutrient and ornamental material) that are produced by both a plant and an animal, which means there are only 11 unique organic resources. As far as using Charybdis III as a hub, I think a better choice would be Charybdis IV-A or VI-A. While neither of these is particularly rich in resources, they both have Helium-3. IMO, a hub outpost should be dedicated to warehousing and distribution, not production. Landing pads, cargo links, warehouses and transfer stations don't require power, so there's no need to build generators, unless you need an inter-system link (hence the need for He-3), in which case a single He-3 extractor and one solar array would probably suffice. This way, you'd have more room at your production outposts for extractors, greenhouses, husbandry facilities, and generators. Just my $.02

    • @thejimmichanga2913
      @thejimmichanga2913  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Charybdis II is where im getting my adhesive, sealant etc. You can get everything you need there. Charybdis III is fairly limited. If you could drop either greenhouses or husbandries on a planet, I added that tag. Reflecting I should have bad two separate tags (one for abundant planets where you can utilize both greenhouses and husbandries, as well as a 2nd tag for limited greenhouse husbandry use, in the case if Charybdis III). I appreciate the feedback regardless. Gives me something to work on outside of my own critiques moving forward.

  • @lardonirdesco

    I have one problem with this list as I feel like you have ignored the key resources for outpost building.
    Those are:
    Iron, Aluminium, Beryllium,
    Copper, Tungsten,
    Titanium, Benzene, Silver, Lead and Water (only important if you are building organic plants or farming animals)
    So along with those you'll need membrane, lubricant, adhesive, sealant with nutrients and fibre for animals.
    Problem with Eridini, is you don't get Benzine so when resource gathering you cant to gather together all thats required to build further bases as you can't build basic air extractors without benzene.
    it's also not possible to get all organic materials in one system as on lower level systems it just doesn't happen.
    But best system I have found is Alpha Tirna located south of Volli.
    I can't get adhesive in this system but I can get it in Oborum Prime which is close by.. but Everything else i can mine or farm from this level 35 system..

    • @thejimmichanga2913
      @thejimmichanga2913  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I didn't highlight iron, aluminum, lead, tungsten, titanium because all the systems have access to those. I consider those as the core resources. Those were the foundation of the video for me when scouting a system. If they didn't have the basic resources for building I considered that system a wash.
      Moreso just highlighted the rarer resources inside each system that you could get, on top of your core resources.
      One thing I noticed is it's hard to find a system (if one even exists) where you can have it all. My system I built in (Charybdis) has almost everything I've ever needed to craft/mod anything I've needed as well as provided an abundance of core resources that allowed me to expand to 8 outposts within the system without the need of buying anything.

  • @jwenting
    @jwenting 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Biggest problem is planets with the correct biological materials. Especially things like adhesive and lubricant are hard to come by.
    Membrane isn't too hard, but in combination with useful inorganics it can be hard to find.
    And don't get me started on wanting systems with all the resources for more advanced chem crafting.

    • @thejimmichanga2913
      @thejimmichanga2913  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Advanced chemistry is something I haven't gotten into much as I don't use many, if really any outside of healing, during my run through. Generally I've noticed on many abundant planets you can get everything the greenhouse and husbandries offer (or damn near most of it). Though there are abundant planets that may have multiple species of plants and animals, but they end up having the same resources as each other. Definitely not easy finding an all in 1 in one system and I don't think a perfect system with everything exists.

  • @Brentt777
    @Brentt777 หลายเดือนก่อน

    They may have a lot of resources on each planet but you will only actually get a few resources for each outpost. It's what kind of ruins it.

    • @thejimmichanga2913
      @thejimmichanga2913  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Depends on what you're trying to do in your outposts. If you end up setting up fabricators you end up using A LOT of different resources. If you're just using the resources to fill cargo contracts and to build up your outpost, then yeah, not much variety is required.

      Almost 11k 24 hr peak on steam alone, and top 20 based on active players through xbox app on xbox/pc. Not bad for a single player game almost 7 months after release. Especially considering most of the top 20 is multi-player games.
      Yet here you are, inside of an extremely small channels comment section for a game you call a dumpster file. Pretty odd to go out of your way to trash a game on a channel with 200 subs. What's the point? I'm genuinely interested in what you intend to get out of a comment like that.
