I was super disappointed in the Dream home trait. The home is very cool, but would it kill them to put some windows in the place? The Mercury penthouse has windows, and doors that open to the outside without loading screens, but most of the other homes do not have windows as they are a separate instance in the game, not actually connected to the space they exist in when seen from the outside. Bummer. Starfield has some amazing views and Nesoi is a lovely planet. It would be nice to see them from inside the dream home. I can build an outpost a few kms away and have glass habs with a 360 degree panoramic view :)
it was one of the first things I noticed upon entering the internal spaces, separated by loading. I was used to cyberpunk 2077 where there is always a window connecting you to the outside world, changing the light of the internal spaces. 3 years later CP2077 Starfield comes out and manages the internal spaces equally to how Skyrim did in 2011 and worse than CP2077 released 3 years before. Bethesda's laziness regarding technical innovation costs 10 years of delay compared to many other games.
I chose the Core Residence in Akila. Has a comfy vib going on. It's the perfect size for Andreja and me. Fits all our collectables and stuff nicely. Plus all the vendors I need are close by.
When the Starfield honeymoon-phase was on its last legs for me, the killing blow was that f***ing penthouse in Neon city. I wanted to feel like a king in my favorite city and finally settle down somewhere, so I buy the apartment thinking it'll be large and luxurious, and when I enter it the first thing I notice is that it doesn't even have one single window... Like wtf??? And the balcony has the view of literally the worst looking area of the entire game.
It would be nice if all the cities had a home you could buy or do a quest for, I'm sure modders will make it happen but it would have nice out of the gate.
@@harvbegal6868 If you are on PC and are willing to turn off achievements you can access space station modules at ship vendors, they don't function properly though, can cause issues and if you do glitch into one its just a blank space that you become trapped in. Unless they have updated them recently that is.
I REALLY hope BGS add the option to purchase furnishings for the city apartments! (instead of craft everything). ..I don’t want to buy a penthouse and then have to build my own bed 😂
Nice! But about the well apartement, you can't purchase this with the UC native trait alone, you still have to earn citizenship by completing Friends Like These.
I never even bothered about having a home for my character as I continuesly travel through ng+ until I have all perks at 10. But once I'm done, I'm so looking forward for the Mercury Tower Penthouse 👀
My biggest problem with the dream home is how limited the space around it is. If you want to add outpost features to it you are really limited. You should also be allowed to sell it. I abandoned it in my current game.
I have a bug, the dude at the bank, never gives me the opportunity to pay off the mortgage he just wants me to collect debts. I can visit the house and pay 500 credits to get in but why bother at that point.
👍 Good vid. The only weird thing about the Kid's Stuff apartment is - You can't seem to sleep in your own bed. You have to sleep in your parents' bed. Eeeeeew! LoL
Probably for system performance reasons. Nesoi has very detailed scenery. I think that's why there are no windows. The apartments that have windows either don't have much of a view or are so high up that what you are looking at are simplified LODs.
You can squat in the Sky Suite in Neon by jumping down onto the balcony from above. You can even decorate, you just can't get in the front door. The space is not great, as there is no bedroom.
I like the well apartment. It's the only duplex and has a wrap-around balcony that you can decorate. You do get a lot of noise from the bar below, and some of the conversations are pretty stupid.
Starfield is the worst game ever when it comes to building, buying property and add furniture for your home and outpost. This new update makes the game even worse and is just created for Bethesda to make more out of a crappy game. Luckily I got the game for free when I bought my latest computer and have played it quite continouesly. But after this latest update I will quit playing for good. The Bethesda people should be ashamed of how they handle this game. No surprise that there are tons of mods made by players to have a game that would be interesting and fun. But sadly enough Bethesda kills all mods every time a new upddate is released. That tells me that they're only in it for money by realesing this latest update!
These player homes and the mechanics seem like an afterthought. Extremely disappointed. :( The Lodge is the only place worth using if you're not building outposts or ships.

I started to play again recently and thought, why can´t we buy our own space station or build one? That would be awesome
If leaks are to be believed, that is coming at some point. And there are lines of code in the game files that refer to player space station modules.

The lodge room is always better due to infinite storage. If they just added infinite storage to other locations I'd gladly get some property

When you go down the stairs the area to the left is the bedroom space.
Can you fast travel to any of them yet? Becuase if not, dream home is still best.
