    Thanks for stopping by! Please consider subscribing if you enjoy Starfield content, outposts, and ship building as I have many more projects in the future. Also, if you could leave a like on your way out, it would be greatly appreciated. Believe it or not, likes are critical to getting the video pushed into YT's dreaded algorithm and out to others feeds.
    Also, not sure why this didn't upload in 1440p as usual. It was recorded in 1440p, edited, and exported in 1440p, but YT uploaded it in 1080p. I will look into this into the future and continue to strive to provide the best quality viewing experience for everyone as I can control.

    I'm in the same solar system but I'm setup a bit different, I use the Num2 planet for my home base and use VI-A as my Costco planet, all mats and resources are routed to that planet and when I need something I get in the simi truck "Cargo Ship" and make a store run, we have the grace of building a cargo ship so I like to take advantage of it leaving all of those noisy cargo ships away from my home base, also leaving me to enjoy the peace and quiet.

    For those who do not know how to pronounce the system name, it is ka-RIB-dis, a Greek mythology monster paired with the Scilla, SIl-ah. You can summon your ship from where it is parked by going onto the ship building pad and entering build mode and then exit. Ship will appear on your pad.

      I appreciate it man! I've been taking a little break from Starfield because I burnt myself out. I am however, currently working on a detailed breakdown on the fabricators and creating a fabricator network on your main planet thats receiving all the resources. Using this method, plus setting up all the fabricators will give you a completely hands off automated network that creates everything you'd every need that you can grab from one planet/location.

    So I did something different but used this guide to show me what to do. I have 2 intersystem cargo links per planet(same system you used) and funnel them in a chain to the first planet which has the main cargo link to my home hub planet, I have an outpost right outside New Atlantis, on Jemison. Works great man, thanks so much. I would have had no idea how to do it without this guide! 👍🏼

    • @THEJimmiChanga
      @THEJimmiChanga  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @briancallison They don't really explain it in game. Took some trial and error during my first run. I knew going into ng+ exactly where I was going to build this network and did almost all of it before even visiting the lodge for the first time lol! I appreciate it man! With the DLC here, I'm actually back to Starfield and have a few outpost videos planned for the next couple weeks. Working on a simple guide on how to add a 2nd star system to your network while still having all the resources funnel to you main original planet as well as a fabricator guide so you can automatically have your resources get used to create useful items without having to touch anything ever outside of initial setup. This helps keep your network from getting clogged up with raw resources. Stay tuned!

    THE most annoying bug in this game is going into NG+ with Outpost Management maxed and it resets to zero as soon as you hit NG+… Stuck on 3 per base links forever, can’t advance it because the skill that is supposed to give you 6 is maxed but reset. This is on Xbox, it has been reported and acknowledged a thousand times and 6 months later it is still not working 🤬

    • @THEJimmiChanga
      @THEJimmiChanga  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      Interesting... I didn't have anything invested into Op management until after I ended ng+ and had 4 or 5 of these outposts down. That's a weird bug, and quite an unfortunate one, especially if you don't get your perk points back.

    I am impressed Sir. I'm a newbie and started outposts, I get confused always. My big problem is re-doing my original. connections are all wrong, wish I could start from beginning. Fixing is harder than starting anew. I was going to give up, but I'm going to stay with it now. My cargo on ship is full, not sure how to empty it before going to links.

    • @THEJimmiChanga
      @THEJimmiChanga  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      You can delete anything within an outpost and get the materials used back. You can also delete the entire outpost from the outpost module that you planet. I'd delete all your extractors etc individual first before deleting the outpost though to get your mats back.
      That being said, If you follow this guide you should be up and running in no time. Just take it slow. You'll free up a lot of space from your ships cargo just by building a couple outposts. Also make sure you check your misc tab in your ship cargo at a vendor. When you make changes to a ship, it puts a lot of misc junk in the cargo haul that takes up space. Sell it off every time this happens

    To prevent over import on some items, one should be able to either sent stuff out to separate storage chains, by labelling what a chain will take, or set desired and max fractions of each item being sent. Anything at max should not be imported.

    Once I learned that you could just pick up mag pistols at high level and use the 20k credits from each to purchase materials I didn't sweat construction that much. My priority instead is to go up to the edge of the arctic zone of Jemison and put an Amp farm in place. You have two different plants that provide materials via greenhouses while the gas comes from the frozen area nearby. From there you queue up Amp by the 100's and put them on a hot key to always boost movement speed.

    Make a ship with as much storeage as possible. Go into a system that you have a quest in or something. Go to the different planets and start mining. While that’s happening go do your quest. I’ve had as much as 4 or 5 locations. When you you’re done with that go pick up your settlements and move to the next quest and do the same thing.

    Good stuff. But I have a question. Why put the Hub on Charybdis III? Seems it has way too much going on, plus it is a violent planet as far as creatures go. Why not just ship that stuff out to one of your small outposts that doesn't have much going on? You know a nice quiet flat place with lots of room. Build the hub there.

    Can you daisy chain extractors? Say have one water extractor connected to all the structures that need it and if you add another one, connect it to the first water extractor and be done with it? Or do you gave to connect it to all the other structures. I realize you can use storage tanks and that’s fine if that’s what you have to do.

    Hey THE JimmiChanga can you also detail which resources do you get from each planet ? as an example talking about the first moon from this vid i set up the outpost on helium3 al and be spot do i forget or sacrifice the nd or can i collect it in some other way as in setting up multiple on 1 planet/moon (what happens to cargo ling situation in that case)

    • @THEJimmiChanga
      @THEJimmiChanga  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @MrAtharos I would avoid setting up more than 1 outpost per planet as it can cause the cargo link system to act wonky. I'm a huge advocate for taking the extra time on each planet to find biome split, therefore maximizing the potential resources in each settlement. The surveying perk can help a lot by highlighting materials before landing so you can pin point your best landing spot to achieve this.
