I just would like to say Ryan that foreigners like you ( and Patrick Ney as well ) are very welcome in Poland. People like you contribute a lot to polish society and make Poland a more beautiful place to live. I like how passionate you are about Poland and that makes me love my country even more. X
Thank you Olimpia, these days I don't feel much like a foreigner anymore which is helping me to open up on these topics.. its like the ultimate connection I always wanted.
Kult America I am glad you said that Ryan. I don't think of you as a foreigner to be honest, to me you are a polish citizen just like everyone else who was born in this country. The passion and love you have for Poland makes you a 100% polish citizen and I am glad you decided to leave USA for Poland. X
I need to finish college first (USA), but I really want to be able to move to Poland. I love their culture, their history (I’m majoring in history), and I want to learn the language. I see America falling toward fascism and communism, and Poland, the Polish, know the horrors of fascism and communism more than most, and move to avoid it, as I would like to as well. My wife and I plan to have kids one day, and I want my kids to have a future, and I can see them having a future in Poland more than they could in the USA. Again, as soon as I graduate and can get in contact with a lawyer to start talking about it, I’d like to get that ball rolling. Also, I’m a catholic, and I’ve heard Poland is very catholic? If so, that’s awesome, and even more of a pull.
You're a great guy! Thank you for giving a real view of my country for the world. I started to learn English, because I wanted to understand the songs on English...
You should name your PRL thamed channel "Na Kartki" (On Chards). At reglementation times people were buying almost every possible goods only by showing "kartki" (cards). Those chards were the most symbolic and common elements of life in PRL times in Poland.
Hi Brian, just recently you had live streaming about Zakopane/Kraków. It appears you had mentioned good restaurant in Zakopane.Unfortunately I was trying to watch recordings, but did not play. I will visit Zakopane soon and I would like to watch the recordings. I could not find these recordings. Please help, Thanks!
+Urszula S. well there are lots of good places to eat here but too many people so it's hard to find a seat! My advice is to visit outside of the tourist season:)
Omg I'm SO excited for the awe Are Slavs series because I'm half Slavic (polish and Slovakian) and I'm obsessed with learning the history and realities of Slavic countries (last year I studied abroad in Prague and it was the happiest period in my life). Keep up the great work, I love your videos!
For new ideas, you can read the book Microcosm: Portrait of a Central European city from Norman Davies and Roger Moorhouse. It speaks about several points of the history of Wroclaw, extremely interesting, it's a great insight on the intricate complexity of Poland's history, the second chapter is about the many cultures that were there befor the year 1000, a lot of slavs an celts (you didn't expect that huh? I didn't). You can make a video in that city too, I hope to go there next year! Greetings.
You could go to Germany (or any other nearby country with a lot of polish people) and ask polish people why they left (probably for work, although not all, like my parents), why they won't or will return to Poland and how they live. Would be an interesting episode.
What advice do you have for a young American who'd like to study a Master's in Poland? I'm curious about the job market for service techs/sales engineers.
Hi I had a question, my girlfriend lives in Poland and I want to go and live with her, is it better to get married first and then move there or would I be able to live there without having too much complications with the law?
Your English pronunciation is clear and easy to understand. Are you speaking so called General American? I'm asking because I cannot detect an accent in your speech or maybe it is just lack of my English skills? :)
Topic: Polish native Muslims (Tartar community in Eastern Poland), the descendants of Polish national heroes, given lands and property, and settled down in Poland, for their (and their ancestors) merits to the Polish & Lithuanian Commonwealth. Not to mention the unique architecture - all the small, wooden mosques scattered throughout the rural and woodland parts of Eastern Poland. [This is added in edit:] Picturesque, to say the least. And the community itself is actually unknown outside Poland. Once you do vids on them in English, you will make a worldwide hit.
Kamil Mirocha I could when I was in Poland but now that I'm back in Belgium its unavailable :( Also all the offline Polish movies I downloaded are unavailable unless I enter Polish territory again
Totally agree with you but it's not as bad as dubbing like in Germany :) I always opted that polish tv channels should have an option to turn it off and turn subtitles on like some premium channels have.
I have a question. I am coming to Krakow as a an Erasmus student to AGH in few months from Czech Republic, I heard that there is a situation with thieves in trams or in the public and police is not doing much to stop it, they mostly target students and tourists, is it really that bad? :)
Michal Plevka Well I ride in the tram 1hr15mins every day to school and back in Łódź, and have never had anything stolen from me in 3 years-only sometimes you get arguments, but its rare :)
However also there was a situation when a muslim-looking man was told by some skinheads to "wypierdalać" from the tram. They didnt steal anythimg from him though
Kuba Krupinski ,Maybe they just feel If you are a foreigner, classmate who was there last semester had his wallet stolen twice. :D But his words "I don't remember much from that half year" Beer from "Mocne" category is a strong tool in hands of Czechs and Slovaks. :D
I'm from Kraków and I studied at AGH. To be honest it's not really true but it's not false either. In trams there are a lot of gypsy kids. When you see them, you have to be aware of your bag and wallet. And also thieves target drunk people(which are mostly students). But I lived in Kraków my whole life and never knew anyone who would be robbed. And also there are cameras now in public transportaition, so you can claim the video from the bus company, when you think that the may have footage of the thief. But on AGH most parties take place on campus, so you probably will not use the bus very often. ;)
Some people take issue for historic reasons but I like people from Ukraine, they learn Polish, and work hard. Besides, when I was in a band I played many concerts in Ukraine so I have a soft spot for the country:)

+Chelsea Arnold that's for the support - you should join our closed FB group so I can chat with you about the ideas we are considering :)
Chelsea Arnold If you're Polish & Slovakian that means you're full slavic.
kamil magiera no I meant I'm 1/4 polish and a 1/4 Slovakian (so half Slavic), and then the rest of my ethnicity is Western European and Scandinavian

Nice to finally find your channel! Dave sends a very big "Witaj!" Hope you are well! -Nikki
+nikkipuddin you mean Dave W!?
"!?" my eyes, ouch. I'm sorry, I just have to point that every time I see this.
Kult America yes sir!
Wow, how did you guys find the channel?:) You should get in touch with me directly !
Kult America I was on Instagram and found you! Yes we should talk. There's much to tell. It's been almost 20 years, no?
I've just learn new word "viscious circle" koło zamknięte. Thanks! 😎

szoszk only the dumb move away permanently out of poland. The smart (low skilled) work a couple months and return
Danny Obviously! Because Poland is the best country in the world, right? (that was sarcasm in case you didn't notice)
Viz12345 last time I checked I moved to Germany permanently and wouldn't even get an Ariernachweis during the Nazi-Era
Getting married here is easier in my opinion because you'd have to register your marriage anyways which is a serious annoyance.
thank you for responding, good to know
Your English pronunciation is clear and easy to understand. Are you speaking so called General American? I'm asking because I cannot detect an accent in your speech or maybe it is just lack of my English skills? :)
I'm speaking so that Europeans can understand me but also after living in Europe for 12 years my English is a bit downgraded in general.

American going to Poland
And Polish going to America
It's almost like we traded spots
Maybe You should consider to switch to polish audio on Netflix ;) / Kamil Mirocha/
Kamil Mirocha I could when I was in Poland but now that I'm back in Belgium its unavailable :( Also all the offline Polish movies I downloaded are unavailable unless I enter Polish territory again
Kevin De Bondt Maybe you could do it via proxy but proopably this would slow down the streaming too much to actually watch it. But give it a try.
That is too much because dubbing is garbage:)
Totally agree with you but it's not as bad as dubbing like in Germany :) I always opted that polish tv channels should have an option to turn it off and turn subtitles on like some premium channels have.
@Kevin De Bondt You can also watch some adult animated shows like South Park if you're into that stuff :D

Come live to poorland - salary 400 euro netto , rent flat 350 euro
Ukrainians have a different opinion.
Witam. Piszę po Polsku bo myślę po Polsku. Już się zaczęło, ludzie uciekają do Polski. To dopiero początek.
Good
What do you think that many Ukrainian people come to Poland?
Some people take issue for historic reasons but I like people from Ukraine, they learn Polish, and work hard. Besides, when I was in a band I played many concerts in Ukraine so I have a soft spot for the country:)

Nie ma polskich napisów ;-;

Andranik Różnie to bywa 😃😛

Will you be coming to Russia? The biggest Slavic country there is, after all.
For sure, I've already filmed a few things there and hope to come back.
I've seen something from Kaliningrad region. Moscow or Saint Petersburg would be most interesting reports!
