As soon as I heard Mario Kart 8's remastered version of Shroom Ridge, I COULD NOT resist producing a remix for this BANGIN' soundtrack!! Those bright brass instruments, a groovy bassline & a catchy melody...all in one song!! Shroom Ridge's music alone makes up for the lack of textures in these DLC courses 😅

Oh man, the beat in this is so tight!! I love the punchy kick combined with the low wubby bass and percussive and melodic elements, it's mixed so well!! I could easily imagine this being part of an official Mario Kart OST as a bonus remix track! Fantastic job! 😃👍
Thanks Glitchman!! One of the best things I learned in recording engineering classes is that the bass needs to be _tight_ - nobody enjoys a muddy sub section in a song! Low-end in particular is also rather difficult to get perfect to sit well in a mix so I always spend extra time making sure the bassline is as best as it can be!

Haha!! Well I most certainly shook the house with this one, this bass was particularly banging, if I do say so myself 🔥 mixing is actually one of my favorite things to do in the producing process; I always ask myself "how can I make this song sound as best as it can?"

Picture me, 3:26 AM with me being fucked up and bored. I randomly decided to listen to one of my favorite tracks that got brought back in 8 deluxe. And then when googling "shroom ridge remix." This was the first thing that came up.
To say I was surprised at how much of a jam this was is an understatement. It feels extremely faithful to the original's chiptune while also making it sound very modern with it's feek too. This was amazing to listen to!
