From SDA's Awesome Games Done Quick (AGDQ 2013) a charity speed run marathon which aimed to raise money for the Prevent Cancer Foundation. The marathon was a MASSIVE success, with donations reaching $448,423.27.

Released on June 29, 1998, Banjo-Kazooie stars Banjo the bear and Kazooie the bird who sticks around in Banjo's backpack. Kazooie spits eggs, carries Banjo around, and dive bombs into walls while eating jiggies and getting transformed by Mumbo the shaman into a walrus, a pumpkin, and other oddities. Banjo-Kazooie is the first installment in the Banjo Kazooie series, and chronicles the titular characters' encounter with series antagonist Gruntilda. The game's story focuses on Banjo and Kazooie's efforts to stop Gruntilda's plans to switch her beauty with Banjo's sister Tooty. The game features nine open levels where the player must complete a number of challenges like solving puzzles, jumping over obstacles, gathering objects, and defeating opponents.
Banjo-Kazooie was under development for more than two and a half years and was originally intended to be an adventure game for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. The game was a critical and commercial success, selling nearly two million copies in the United States and receiving aggregated scores of 92% and 93% from Metacritic and GameRankings respectively. The game was praised for its detailed graphics, immersive sound, and intricate level design. In 1999, it received two awards from the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences: "Console Action Game of the Year" and "Outstanding Achievement in Art/Graphics". You can tell a game is solidly built when it takes an expert speedrunner several hours to finish.

One of the first games from childhood (that featured a time clock) where within a week I had 24 hours logged in. O___O. I remember thinking not to let my mom see that number.
This was so great! The player was a pretty chill guy, the commentator kept it from being boring and the other guys listed very interesting information. Well done, wish I would have seen it live so I could donate.
I love Cosmo and much that I've seen from SDA, but this is by far my favorite speedrun I've seen on this channel. Stivitybobo seems like such a chill dude, we've got Cosmo chillin' with him, green shirt and Australian (sorry, don't know anyone else's name) with great supporting commentary. On top of that, a great voice behind the donation comments which is just as important to making a good stream, and of course Banjo Kazooie, one of my favorite games. Absolute delight to watch. This is the second time I've watched stivi do a Banjo-Kazooie run. The first time it was his Any Percent run.

Agreed. Bano-Tooie took my years to beat when i was a kid, 2 days to beat when it came to XBLA (dat stop n swop incentive for nuts and bolts), and 3 months to run in under 12 hours, which is still super long. It's easily a complex game that would be interesting to watch.

AWESOME SPEED RUN FOR AN AMAZING GAME. One of my favourite games. I always have thought that is one of the most replayable games of the history. Almost is everything perfect in this game (only camera sometimes was awful). Also the cause of fighting cancer is great idea for realize this marathons. Well, specially congratulations for Steve... and I was sure that the "serious moment" of Rusty Bucket would have tense moment and the silence followed by great cheers confirmed that lol. Wow. 2:18:21 in, and a guy in the back cuts one so loud it can be heard on TH-cam. As a Let's Player, I wish more commentary was given to the speedruns, and have spent the past month delighted by this channel. I plan on working on optimizing MegaMan Battle Network 3 in the future, I think that the biggest trick initially would be figuring out how to luck manipulate the random encounters until SneakRun can be obtained. If I get my plans working correctly, I'll see what can be done!

Especially how all this back-tracking can be managed in a run certainly is interesting.

Well, I have all the games on Xbox LIVE Arcade, so I'm not really sure about that, but I think that the in-console storage of the N64 would carry over the stop 'n' swap items, and the whole in-game process is to enter this large egg-shaped house like thing, where you will find a hen, who I forgot the location and name of, but the "upgrades" I mentioned are pretty good, and are pretty useful. The stop 'n' swap items are for banjo tooie, to get other "upgrades", such as dragon kazooie, and some certain cheats, while in banjo kazooie nuts n' bolts, you get part crates for each one. I have all three games, and I love them all. Working on getting 100% on all three. Non-recorded.

If you're referring to the 4 notes after he suicides, when you die in a level every note respawns, so he did collect the 100 before leaving the level.

Quick tip:Set speed to 1.25 in the options area on the video.You can still understand them just as well,And the game play isn't too different,only problem really is the game music.Makes these videos 1/4 shorter too.

Retry your math. .25 = one fourth. So 1.25 would be 1/4 shorter. .20 would be one fifth
Okay, so if you watch for 8 seconds at 1.25x, that would total ten seconds of video because 1.25*8=10. That means you saved 2 seconds. 2/10=1/5.
Actually,This applies to the original 8 seconds.At 1.25x speed it would be only 6 seconds. 8/6=3/4, Or 1/4 shorter.
So let's extend your logic. A video at 1.25x being 1/4 shorter means that a video at 1.5x should be 1/2 shorter, right? And a video at 2x speed then should be 1 shorter, or instantaneous. Yeah, that doesn't seem right.

OK. I have Kazooie and Tooie on Project 64. I plan on getting all the stop and swap item, that won't be a problem. my next big question is, if I were using a regular Nintendo 64, how do I transfer the Stop 'n' Swap Items to Banjo Tooie? and what's the whole ingame process of using them? I'd be interesting to know something about the game I never have..
