Damn she is gorgeous. I think its even cooler that she was a kid playing this character(and not an adult), even though the show was relatively short she still grew up along side Toph in the show. Theres so many adult actors that play a kid that when a studio actually chose a literal kid to play a kid its so authentic, it just makes her character seem more real. Pretty freaking cool

I met her in person a couple weeks back at a con. Actually such a down to earth and nice person tbh. Definitely did not disappoint. Very friendly with fans and so sweet. My fiancé even got a hug goodbye lol
And her performance of Toph is nothing short of spectacular. Part of me is glad she went to school and enjoyed her student life, but another part wanted to have heard her voice in more projects growing up
The more I see how Hollywood treats child and teen performers, the more I think her decision to stop early may actually be the best play unless you have really good protections in place.
surely the risks in voice acting might be lower but ultimately im glad she chose the path that worked best for her wellbeing. we love to see talented people thrive wherever.

They should’ve teased Toph in an end credit scene in the last episode of the first Avatar Netflix season, but didn’t happen. They also didn’t play the agni kai theme once, and the whole Aang learning firebending from Jong Jong was completely removed, it’s one of the most important episodes, and they were very early on some stuff, like the cave of two lovers, omashu being captured, and even the fog of lost souls, which is korra, but I didn’t mind the Azula scenes, they added to her perfect character in the beginning of the animated show, even if it took a lot away from Zhao’s character, who I didn’t really care for.
