It's wild how Sokka's, Zuko's, and Azula's voice actors still sound the same. Like, obviously, the kids grew up, but even with adults, the voice changes over time, albeit to a lesser degree.
Michaela/Jessie and Zach (Toph and Aang) were barely teenagers when AtlA aired. They definitely have resurfaced in the last couple of years to engage fans online. Mae Whitman: moved on to other roles after Katara and didn't really make a lot of rounds in AtlA fandom until only a couple of years ago. Dante Basco: has been proud to play Zuko all along. Been very involved with the fandom since day 1! Grey Delisle: Longtime voice actress who initially didn't really know about the popularity of AtlA (she never watched the show) but has definitely dived into the fandom. I think for a while she was surprised Azula was one of her most recognized roles in animation.
His voice isn’t bad though, at all. At first I had to get used to it, but you just have to employ your own psychological adjustment and accept his voice as the new Uncle Iroh, and then it’s good and has its high points such as the tent scene.

I caught the pirate episode while babysitting as a young 14 yrd, found the box set a couple years later at my local rental store and binged the whole show. I made my boyfriend at the time (now husband) watch the show. And from there I have made my whole family and most of my friends watch this show. It’s amazing
i watched every episode as it aired on Nick, had the great experience of rewatching a lot of it with some cousins (18, 16, 14) during quarantine who had never seen it before.
Getting this many cast members of any show together is unprecedented. Hamill is a very busy man, and while I'm sure he would have loved to be there, it just wouldn't be possible.
It's kinda sad that Zach Eisen is the only one that can't do his Character's voice anymore. Kinda cool thought that they got a real kid to do the voice back in the day.

@@Andr3G908 the main commenter meant asking how the actors are perfect fits for the personality of the characters. Being cast for a character doesn't mean you automatically fit perfectly. What if Zuko's voice actor was cast to be Sokka instead? The sound wouldn't fit the character's personality.

Just finished rewatching the entire series. It’s even better now as an adult. Avatar is one of the Greatest shows ever. The art, voice acting, story, effects, music, all is perfect.
Dang I should watch Avatar: The Last Airbender again. I only managed to finish watching the first twelve episodes and the final 4 episodes of Book One, too little for Book Two and only the second half of Book Three 😅😅😅
I love the idea of them playing themselves as the cast of the Ember Island Players. Many fans talk about using certain actors (for Toph, especially), but I feel like this would be much better fanservice. I hope Netflix does this.
It was fascinating and incredible how Avatar cast such a mix of experienced capital V Voice Actors Mae/Grey/Olivia/Cricket, great actors who's natural voices (or close to) were so iconic and perfect for the role (Dante/Jack/Mako) and then just a couple of 12 year olds (Zack, Michaela) who absolutely killed it and had no problem standing toe to toe with those other giants.
My favorite episode will always be Season 3 episode 5: The Beach, the episode is full of the purest form of Zuko's internal struggle and like Lo and Lee say, "The beach has a way of smoothing the roughest edges"

I like what Zach said about learning something new each time you watch, and I think it’s partially because you can relate to different characters each time.
I loved it right away. It was funny, action-packed, full of character development, and really emotional. Kind of like Star Wars and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
They may not have wanted to advertise more than what they did. It was absolutely PACKED and the lines were very chaotic. Hundreds of people that were in line for this panel weren’t able to get in to see it because of how many people were there. It was insane.
I love this get together ♥️ The show is wholesome, and has a lot of positive lessons in it: friendship, forgiveness, change and growth etc I think that's why it connects people the way it does. It's also an interesting show; the writing, pacing - very good to watch during leisure and such times.

I used to watch it when it was airing in the early 2000s at my grandma's house. In 2010 I binged the whole series when I was home from school sick and was hallucinating from a fever. I rewatched it multiple times since and own the series on blu-ray
Grey DeLisle is just amazing. She voiced so many cartoon characters in my favorite shows. She was the best choice for Azula. She did SO many other characters imagine having to show up to events like this

Hamill is reliably good, but I’ve always found him to be miscast for Ozai (I’ve always had problems with Ozai in general)

I was somewhere around 40 when I first saw ATLA.
I loved it right away. It was funny, action-packed, full of character development, and really emotional. Kind of like Star Wars and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

They may not have wanted to advertise more than what they did. It was absolutely PACKED and the lines were very chaotic. Hundreds of people that were in line for this panel weren’t able to get in to see it because of how many people were there. It was insane.

The show is wholesome, and has a lot of positive lessons in it: friendship, forgiveness, change and growth etc
I think that's why it connects people the way it does. It's also an interesting show; the writing, pacing - very good to watch during leisure and such times.

I used to watch it when it was airing in the early 2000s at my grandma's house. In 2010 I binged the whole series when I was home from school sick and was hallucinating from a fever. I rewatched it multiple times since and own the series on blu-ray

Grey DeLisle is just amazing. She voiced so many cartoon characters in my favorite shows. She was the best choice for Azula. She did SO many other characters imagine having to show up to events like this
