    This helps me recenter. I had a big book full of these when I was a kid. Me and my brother used to build highly detailed space ship models out of cardboard we thought technology would be a lot more advanced in 2024.

      I STILL have the "big book" that I was given as a 16th birthday present (45 years later): "SpaceWars, Worlds and Weapons" by Steven Eisler, Octopus, 1979 .

    wow. when I was a young kid, I used to stare at these pictures for hours and dream. I thought one day, we would have a culture like Jetsons (wrong). I also saw it as an escape from my dull life. I really started getting into sci fi movies, novels and those "DAW" books and "Signet" books. then comic books. When STar Wars first came out, and then the first Star Trek movies with Shatner and his crew, my life was joy.

    The music suits these images perfectly!
    A lot of 70’s sci fi art was about being “otherworldly”, which describes this music well!

    As a kid growing up in the 70s I was always fascinated with art and typography of the time... I didn't know it was a "thing" until today when I saw a video about "Worlds Beyond Time: Sci-Fi Art of the 1970s"...

    Bruce Pennington, Vincent DiFate, Chris Foss, Peter Elson, Angus McKie, Jim Burns, David Hardy... Those are some of the artists I spotted. The 1970s were perhaps the golden age of sci-fi art.

    I thoroughly enjoyed that selection of artwork and the music. May I ask where you gathered the images from and what equipment (synths) did you use to create your soundtrack?

    • @strebo8419
      @strebo8419  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thank you. Concerning the images, I simply did some exhaustive online research to find them on websites specializing in era specific artwork. I don't have any musical instrument. I just used the music software programs Cakewalk / BandLab and MuLab to create my soundtrack, with no formal musical training .... only by 'ear'.

    Where can I find the music for this video?

      I created this soundrack ("Cosmic Odyssey") specifically for this video presentation. My copyrighted soundtrack is only available with this video (for the time being).

    Do you have a source list for the images?

    • @strebo8419

      I don't have the list and no longer have the images I used in my video presentation.
