As a man who has been in the medical field for over 25 years, I don’t think the lady knows what she is talking about. First of all, she is not a man so she doesn’t know what it feels like mentally and physically to do no fap as a man. Second of all, The man on the panel actually has a better understanding of the benefits of no fap, which are mental and spiritual benefits that ultimately lead to physical benefits. So, although it may not raise testosterone levels initially, cutting out porn and fapping is overall a good thing for the sole reason that the time you would be spending fapping can be replaced by physical exercise and sleep which have been scientifically proven to increase testosterone levels.
But cutting out porn is a different thing. You shouldn't combine both together as essentially required, one does not require the other. Avoiding porn is important for mental health etc and it avoids an addictive response which is of course healthy. That doesn't mean that you need to 'no fap', just don't spend all your time doing it, just be moderate as you would with anything else 😂
Rule 1: don't let others tell you what is good for you. Research yourself. Experiment yourself. Resist the temptation to preach. Your experiences are yours only. They don't transfer to everyone else.
@@lt8833probably she doesn't have, but people who do did the same thing she advises for. With the knowledge you have, experiment and you will learn new things because your knowledge will not become vast, but it will become depth knowledge in the subject. Experience in all fields is valued also so she is right from my perspective
It sounded helpful to compare nofap with avoiding someone that you want to stop thinking about. It makes sense to block & create distance where your needs aren't met. Porn is equally empty. Gym almost every evening allows me to tire out, to drain what otherwise would be available energy.
I will say I’m not or have never been a big porn guy, but the longer I go without a release the more I think about it, to the point of insanity. Feel like a male dog when a female is in heat around. Guess everyone is different, but every few days keeps me a good balance of sane.
No fap is like a diet (like someone else has said) except you have to stick to it. It's not a 1 month thing, it's benefits are primarily seen when you adhere to it for much longer periods. Your passion comes from your sex drive. Stop fapping and you'll regain your passion for things, Give it a year. Lastly and as an added note, She (Malik) doesn't know what she is talking about. I understand that it's possible she's studied male anatomy for years but the reality is that no female expert on male physiology will beat any man actively studying their own body for any length of time.
well, i dont see myself abstaining for a whole year and it might actually bring more problems than benefits. Also I think the problem is porn, not masturbation
There have been studies that say a certain amount of ejaculations every month reduces chance of getting prostate cancer. Maybe she's thinking more from that side of things.

To put it simply, I never felt good after watching porn and masturbating. But when I stopped, I noticed that I had more willpower, more energy, and, most importantly, my relationships with women changed drastically. In my experience, never, ever watch porn or masturbate
take the porn and distractions away and you have a healthy and balanced sex life. Its that simple. To many young Men are addicted to Pornography and it removes the need to go out and find a mate. Porn destroys lives
If you’re a religious man, nofap is the way to go. I’ve been doing nofap for almost 2 years and I can testify that I have been healthy. I will also admit that nocturnal emissions do come by more frequently. The most frequent rate of nocturnal emissions for me was once a week. Nofap does not allow us to become superheroes and rizzlers. Instead, it gives us the physiology and “freshness” that resembles a child. It brings us back to square one.
On one side everything we do has a level of addiction attached to it. Even eating is an addiction, that's why people who fast are refraining from it for a period of time and during that period the brain and organism becomes more sensitive to the food again. Basically a bad addiction is when you become used to what you do, because you don't appreciate it anymore.
Priests not having sex with people their own age had lead to problems.....need i say more. Yoga is good for sex because you look fit after a wile! Other than that.....balls.
No fap is what keeping men and young teenagers in a trap of constant self hatred, comparing themselves to others and unrealistic standards of success and what I mean by that is they tell people that they’re sick or having an addiction and addiction does an exist to begin with!
It's not borne out of hatred. It's taking control, saying no addiction to porn, to doing better things with your time. Only in a world where we must accept the transgender agenda, do we have the same people telling happier men that they're wrong for not wanting to wank themselves into oblivion. It's like they are against success.
So basically the dude with the weird hair is saying that the main argument for 100% NoFap is because some traditional religions have advocated for it in the past (with no scientific reasoning to do so).
basically right, best summarized. However he did mention a part of spirituality, perhaps aside from religion in the sense of relationships with others.
Dr. K is a psychiatrist and therapist who studied as a monk for 10 years. If you check out his extended videos on his channel (HealthyGamerGG), you'll see that he is EXTREMELY qualified to speak on this. In this situation, he is on a podcast and so can't go into huge detail, but if you check out his channel you'll see how valid and well-backed his arguments are.
I have watched so many of your episodes and This is the first time I have thought a guest was making stuff up. The guy in this episode was contradicting himself in what felt like a cry for agreement (not Steven 😂). He gave little to no evidence. He seemed at one point to be pushing this dangerous celibacy narrative but then said white knuckling it can be bad. The lady (Dr M ) was befitting of your podcast. Very good. Still loved it and it’s also fine that you had the chap on. Just not the same level as normal. Just feedback. Great subject that we don’t speak enough about considering the moral car crash we are seeing everywhere.
I want to comment on this before I watch the video and then see if I leave my comment or not but "no fap" and "dopamine fasting" are two of the dumbest things to come out of the modern "monk-mode" MGTOW cultural (if you can call them that) ideas. There is evidence that having sex reduces your biologic age - if you have sex at least 3 times a week, you'll appear about 5 years younger than your peers accounting for lifestyle choices and so forth. This is because sexual connection with people gives us a certain kind of hormonal response and immune response you can't get from spanking it but at least tossing off is better for you than doing this silly abstinence BS. Okay, now I've watched the video and as much as I generally appreciate the thoughts of Dr. K, I find calling sexual desire "an addiction" absurd. As a person who has been attacked for his interest in sex and who has been basically blocked from it for a long time, it didn't help me to abuse me about my sexual desires and it didn't change a damn thing other than to make me really angry. I used to have sex once a day. I don't think that daily copulation is somehow some addiction and yet others think that's excessive. The reason you get addicted to things is they mimic dopamine in your brain causing for extra dopamine. Sex releases a lot of other chemicals besides dopamine so you can't get addicted to it. You may have a problem where you're too focused on it and you may need to break that cycle but if you want to know what addiction is like, it will make you lay in bed for days and days sweating and feeling like you're going to vomit and you'll reach the point where you'll do anything to solve the lack of dopamine you suddenly have. Sex and masturbation are not like that. Being really interested in something isn't the same thing as being addicted. Sexuality is healthy and if you think "no fap" will increase your test, then go find all the buff monks and priests (and I don't give more credence to someone who is a monk or a priest but rather think they are missing a huge part of life). Sexual connection is a huge part of being human and if you're looking for purpose, that quite literally is your entire reason for being here. If you have a problem with sexual obsession, that's not addiction. That's some trauma or some abuse you haven't dealt with that is causing relationship problems. It's not about the sex. Sex is good for us and relying on ancient mythology (which is wrong in almost every way you can be wrong) for answers to why you should abstain (note that all the Biblical heroes were horn dogs except maybe Jesus who we don't know anything about and may have, had he really existed, been getting it on with men, women, men and women, who knows?). The modern world is full of some of the most absurd nonsense that has ever existed and yet we have so much more information and access to information than we have ever had leading me to think that the human race is just doomed to absurdity and ignorance for all the rest of time.
male everyday masturbation leads to hyperprolactinemia. you rather reduce the frequency. otherwise in a year you would have gradually decreased a lot the joy of orgasm.
How hard is it to just … I don’t know … not watch porn and fap on repeat? If you have a job, responsibilities and a social life, you don’t really have time to do all of that. No fap just seems like a trendy fix for a larger problem. It’s like the fad diet of self esteem issues.
