Do a video on “best middle options” Grunts loyalty. When Uvenk offers Grunt a position but says he will always be second class. Paragon option is “it’s your call grunt” and grunt says no. Middle option is “if I know grunt, the answers coming out of his shotgun” Also Tali’s trial, there’s an option to “rally the crowd”. You need to talk to everyone in the court area before you set off. When you return and they ask for your eveidence, it will appear. It is a good one if people never saw it. Also Shepard’s final line to the Illusive man is better if you select the middle option. There are a few times the middle option has good results.
On Grunt's loyalty mission, assuming you headbutt Uvenk when speaking to the shaman (which also requires Wrex to be alive for Shepard to pick up on that being a thing in Krogan society), you can allow Grunt to choose for himself. *Grunt*, having seen his two biggest role models do it, will proceed to headbutt Uvenk to the ground himself.
I seem to be the odd one out because I always shoot the bottle, the interaction afterwards, the banter, the slight competitiveness between them despite being close friends it’s something I’ve seen (and done) with friends and family who are in the military. It just seems like the more real scene out of the two for me and is still a feel good moment
For me the most badass paragon moment is in Mass Effect 2 in Omega when you encounter the Quarian in his pilgrimage but Harrot prevents him on raising money to leave Omega. You can give 1000 credits to the quarian or you can confront Harrot. The paragon dialogue is Shepard threatening Harrot to leave the quarian alone.
Telling Wrex of the bribe attempt from the Dalatrass and later taking his hand before the final fight on Tuchanka is one of my favorites. It so much deepens the friendship and trust between Shepard and Wrex (and Eve).
I've personally never seen this version of the scene in-game, and I've played the trilogy more times than I can count. Maybe this only plays with a non-imported Shepard? In which case I'd call the Scientist Salarian song version the default, and the one shown here the alternate.
@@mygoldenwitch From what I can tell, this the Scientist Salarian version only comes about when you have a high enough paragon rating. So those that go renegade or neutral and choose to cure the genophage get this ending.

I'll never forget the first time I got to see that line where you stand at attention and recite the names of all 8 cruisers lost in the battle of the citadel from memory. "The Alliance lost 8 cruisers. Shenyang, Emden, Jakarta, Cairo, Seoul, Capetown, Warsaw, Madrid, and yes, I remember them all. Everyone in the fifth fleet is a damn hero. Don't worry, the scene plays out *very* differently if you've selected the romance option w/ Garrus as FemShep . . . . . . . . [SPOILER] FemShep gives the same female Turian a warning glare (as in "This Turian bad boy is NOT available, so don't even think about it!!") & Garrus proceeds to clumsily attempt role-playing a First Date w/ FemShep ... but what she doesn't know is that Garrus has a surprise maneuver up his sleeve ("always hold something back for an emergency").
Honestly same. But for me it was like a legendary Viking warrior, gathering allies to to fight against a threat to all, everyone sprinting into battle shouting to their gods or goddesses. Knowing they could die and making peace as they fight with everything they have
The thing is, he didn't actually "backed it up" He just told the truth, that Joker is a hero in his own way and they do own him their lives and so does Shepard..
These are 'paragon' moments, ones in which you have a choice. The Wrex handshake happens no matter what so it doesn't qualify for the list. One of the great moments, yeah, but not a 'paragon' moment.
My favorite is saying to your romance companion to get out of there in the normandy in the final part of earth in mass effect 3 while you go to the beacon
The fakeout paragon moments always pull at my heartstrings giving me false hope. Trying to stop Mordin from going up the tower, running to catch Tali from falling, etc.
It's Jokin' time. That was best line of all the Mass Effect Trilogy. Edit: Also, 3:31, I remember that. I got up to make a snack while the cutscene played out and I was in the kitchen when I saw Samara reaching for her gun and the paragon trigger popped up, but I couldn't get back to my controller in time to hit it, so Samara shot herself and I had to replay 2 hours of progress to try again. I was devastated that I missed that.
Definitely 2 more memberable paragon moments are: 1 - paragon speech check in Spectre-hostage scenario (Lairs of the Shadow Broker DLC) ; 2 - pressing paragon action after deciding to take "him" to academy (Overlord DLC) . Both for ME2.
Say what you will about the game's lousy ending, but the game has some of the most amazing moments of story and writing of any modern game. Seriously, getting the Quarian fleet to stand down and ending a 300 year war peacefully is something I will remember for a long time.
The absolute most underrated dialogue on Rannoch is when you initially start off renegade in saving the Geth and Quarians, and then pick the paragon choice.
Everything with Joker legendary or hilariously funny. I'm always the best wingman for him be it paragon or renegade. :) Edit: Garrus always being the best bro
Tali's loyalty mission has a lot of cool paragon moments, hugging her or speaking on her behalf (paragon wise) or rally the crowd neutral option if you give veetor to tali and help the soldier survive on Haestorm as they both speak for behalf of Tali. Hands down easily the best loyalty mission out of ME2 games, with giving more view how the admirals see the geth/their views and different opinions about it and how tali is brought up in the middle of all that.
@@abaddon_9941 Agreed. I just think it's disappointing that the admirals have not developed their characters a bit and have been extremely one-dimensional in ME3. It's like they were resistant to learning.
@@tyrayentali7041 I feel like that would boil down more an overall issue with ME3, it didnt really have enough time as a game to develop fully some stuff and rushed. I always thought that admiral xen was by far a scary admiral with a total different idea, wanting to rather make the geth their puppets/hers, using them to make the quarians stronger "returning to their creator" shes eager and curious how Shepard managed to have legion work for his cause. Sadly shes not really that explored much further on me3 and neither is this whole mentality. Of course lets not forget tali does play a part since she becomes an admiral herself, more going for the co-existance peace factor herself, which is admirable considering how Tali resents especially more in the first game towards geth. Contacting legion and if you kept both in good terms at me2 helps a lot. Then you would have others admirals which think desctruction and war, killing is the way to solve the issue as its too late. It would've been cool to explore what even caused the admirals to even have these Ideas and thoughts to begin with as you arent so close minded on something, I think legions mission with the flashbacks was a cool concept but would've been more fleshed out if Shepard had more politics moments against the admirals as well depending on your views (or even having tali speak on her behalf as an admiral) Its some missed chances there and there but I dont think Priority : Rannoch is as bad as Priority Thessia were for ME3 and etc.
"You've been a champion to the Krogan, A friend of clan Urdnot, and a sister to me. To every Krogan born after this day the name Shepard will mean HERO!"
2:10 - Best scene in the entire trilogy. Made me laugh so much the first time I watched it. Also. Watching Garrus talking to the female turian is priceless. So insecure that it becomes hilarious
03:00 This is an epic moment. But Shepard didn't lie, because Joker DID save the Normandy in the collectors' attack. In this scene with the drinks he didn't save Joker, he just said the truth. So, in my opinion at the end Shepard should say: "I was just stating facts." or something more badass. Thanks for the video!
Not to mention, mordin's death was not only a great sendoff to a great character who choose to repent for his sins, but imo, is just as heart breaking and tear jerking inducing as legions death. Both died for something greater than themselves, yet knowing full well that they would not live to see it come to fruition. but they did it anyway, for the good of the galaxy
The Joker/Cerberus moment reminds me of "A Christmas Story" and the "Ralphie/masked bad guys in the backyard scene"... "Oh, no, it's RALPHIE". "Adios, Bart."
I have to say this version of 'curing the genophage' is my prefered one, but i almost never get it since for me he always starts singing :D both very heart-wrenching though
I think the curing of genofage as a renegade Sheppard is more emotionally satisfying. You're trying to sabotage it till the last moment, when Mordin's unmovable will breaks your dedication to sabotage it.
To be fair...Jeff did survive a Collector Attack and saved the Normandy the second time...so at the end of the day Shep is telling the truth. A lot of people do owe Joker. Gotta give props for the writers.

Don't worry, the scene plays out *very* differently if you've selected the romance option w/ Garrus as FemShep

[SPOILER]
FemShep gives the same female Turian a warning glare (as in "This Turian bad boy is NOT available, so don't even think about it!!") & Garrus proceeds to clumsily attempt role-playing a First Date w/ FemShep ... but what she doesn't know is that Garrus has a surprise maneuver up his sleeve ("always hold something back for an emergency").
@@zenkim6709 I have played through all of the Fem Shep options at this point. That was just a joke. Garrus is just my favorite romance option.
Making ME3 on full Paragon space-Jesus style was one of my best decisions. What an epic run :,)
Honestly same. But for me it was like a legendary Viking warrior, gathering allies to to fight against a threat to all, everyone sprinting into battle shouting to their gods or goddesses. Knowing they could die and making peace as they fight with everything they have
Mine was 80 percent paragon and 20 percent renegade because some people looking at you illusive man deserved the renegade insults
This channel is underrated asf man
agreed 100%
Just wait for Legendary Edition to release.
Definitely
Dan: Makes a video of best Paragon moments
Also Dan: Uses shots showing scary Shepard with scars and red eyes
😉
Trust me, I'm a paragon ;)
@@BigDanGaming If you get the reference you're officially awesome, but Paragon til death
scary Shep do be nice doe :flushed:
Why oh why manshep
It's like board with an angry face
I ALWAYS let Garrus win the bottle shooting. That moment is too good to have it any other way.
how did i miss that hillarious Garrus scene trying to hit on women in the bar
Because you are always the one on the date with Garrus...well that is my excuse anyways
Hey! Dancing with garrus, as shep on the citadel dlc is so underrated, in general the garrus romance is probably my favorite
How can backing up some Joker's stupid fantasy be better than shacking Wrex's hand when he's calling you "brother"?
True, this moment, especially if you played from the very first game, is just so satisfying.
But he said that the list was not in any particular order.
@@tamiloxd7168 But the Wrex moment they're talking about isn't even on the list.
12:45 Harbinger: “I know you feel this.”
“Preserve Shepard's body if possible.”
“Why do you resist us, Shepard?” (*Mr. Brightside playing*)
My favorite is saying to your romance companion to get out of there in the normandy in the final part of earth in mass effect 3 while you go to the beacon
Saying goodbye to Garrus gets me everytime 😢
Saying goodbye to Garrus really hit me hard in the feels. Best bro ever!
Hugging tali is the greatest paragon moment in any game
I love how adorably awkward Garrus is when it comes to flirtation.
See what makes Mordins sacrifice memorable is if you have unlocked the singing version
Alt. title: Cerberus didnt bother repairing good guy Shepard's face very much
Bruh I teared up twice in this video, the bar in heaven and 'it had to be me' get me so good
The fakeout paragon moments always pull at my heartstrings giving me false hope. Trying to stop Mordin from going up the tower, running to catch Tali from falling, etc.
The timing for the air quotes from Mordin, such a nice touch.
Screw you for reminding me about the saying goodbye to garrus scene 😭😭😭 I cry everytime I play that moment
Mordins death will always be the saddest
He was happy with it though. Legion & Thane though... hits the feels real hard too.
Edit: Garrus always being the best bro
Not hugging Tali during her loyalty mission is a crime even the Reapers wouldn’t forgive
I know it's ME3 but hugging Tali is still missing on your list.
It would've been cool to explore what even caused the admirals to even have these Ideas and thoughts to begin with as you arent so close minded on something, I think legions mission with the flashbacks was a cool concept but would've been more fleshed out if Shepard had more politics moments against the admirals as well depending on your views (or even having tali speak on her behalf as an admiral)
Its some missed chances there and there but I dont think Priority : Rannoch is as bad as Priority Thessia were for ME3 and etc.
I can't help but note that you have done most of these with full "evil" cyber Shepard.
Damn man. Saying goodbye to Garrus still gives me chills.
Garrus the true definition of brother from another mother
I remember when I saved both the Geth and Qurians felt so accomplished!!!
I have never ever seen that Joker version of the Citadel attack wtf?! That stuff is gold
Saving the geth and quarians isn't just one of the best paragon moments in the trilogy, is one of the most badass moments too.
“Surrender or I’ll shoot my hostage!”
“No, *YOU* surrender or *I’LL* shoot your hostage.”
Added tidbit: if you played ME2 and got Mordin to sing, he will sing in his last moments. Extra manly tears were shed.
Wingmanning for Garrus and watching him crash and burn. PuuhhhhhSoUncomfortablleeeeee!!!
How could you miss the shepherd and Wrex broshake? Best Paragon moment in the game!
Love your channel man keep it up! When legendary edition comes out your channel is gonna blow up!
Not to mention, mordin's death was not only a great sendoff to a great character who choose to repent for his sins, but imo, is just as heart breaking and tear jerking inducing as legions death. Both died for something greater than themselves, yet knowing full well that they would not live to see it come to fruition. but they did it anyway, for the good of the galaxy
>maximum scars renegade Shepard
>paragon moments
The Joker/Cerberus moment reminds me of "A Christmas Story" and the "Ralphie/masked bad guys in the backyard scene"... "Oh, no, it's RALPHIE".
"Adios, Bart."
I have to say this version of 'curing the genophage' is my prefered one, but i almost never get it since for me he always starts singing :D both very heart-wrenching though
Trying to navigate through the Quarian and Geth moment was so tense.
I think the curing of genofage as a renegade Sheppard is more emotionally satisfying. You're trying to sabotage it till the last moment, when Mordin's unmovable will breaks your dedication to sabotage it.
Longest Renegade interrupt ever. but satisfying to see Shepard throw the gun in disgust for the thought of even using it on Mordin.
It's been a long time since I cried in a videogame. The mordin sacrifice did the work. I love this trilogy.
To be fair...Jeff did survive a Collector Attack and saved the Normandy the second time...so at the end of the day Shep is telling the truth. A lot of people do owe Joker. Gotta give props for the writers.
Yeah and I love how Shepard never said Jokers story was accurate he just stated that Joker really is a hero and he owes him his life.
A personal favorite paragon moment for me would be the interview with khalisah al-jilani back at the beginning. Like it felt good to see some character depth from her, and end the beef in a proper manner, while also seeing how vulnerable and human that reporter was
every time samara expresses her inability to end her last daughter, makes me think of how proud she was of morinth and how she said ‘i am a ruined vessel of sorrow and regret’ no video game moment has ever hit me the way this one did
"It's Jokin time!"
That's it, Tiptree's next after that Batarian colony.
