That's great find! It's a Cheyenne too, Chevy stopped making those, i didn't know why, the Cheyenne is one of my favorite chevys! My dad had one it was beautiful, it was a 97 Cheyenne single cab short bed, v6 MANUAL! It had a bullet exhaust, it was loud, and he loved that truck so much, I wish he never gave it to his brother, he got into trouble and crashed it while being chased by cops. My dad regrets giving it to him thinking he'd pay it off and so that he would be taking my grandparents car all the time. My dad was depressed about it ever since he saw his brother drive it away. My dad just looked at the things he had up on his mirror, when he heard about the accident my dad was too beat to look at his truck all crashed, after buying it new and paying it off, he sold it to a good friend for $300 who said he'd try to fix it because the whole front end was crashed. When I grew up hearing stories about it, I began to live that truck wishing I could have til I heard the story about it, it just sucks. I've seen videos and pictures of it and it looked so perfect, it was a burgundy color with grey interior
I daily drive a 93 Chevy 5.7 Auto with a stock exhaust and straight piped and i fucking love that thing, interior look brand new not even a rip or tear
I like it! And you can't go wrong with candy apple red. I can tell where you get your interest in cars from, your dad is always wrenching on something.
He keeps his nose to the grind thats for sure. He says dirty hands are a sign of clean money. And he makes it honestly. One broken car at a time. I just wished he would slow down sometimes, take a break ya know?
Easy money there. I would fix one that clean as they sell easy, I even converted one to four wheel drive as it is way easier than one thinks. Easier than engine swap
I like that Stepside! What year? I'm guessing 1989-1991. My uncle had one of those, but he traded it for a 1990 Chevy Cheyenne long bed because he needed more utility and thought that the stepside looked stupid or something. Oh well, wonder is he regrets his decision...
For the "street value " if you will the step side will bring in crazy money in the right shape. Modified or stock. But from a functionality stand point, Ill always buy the long bed. To me if Im going to spend the money on a truck, then I want the most truck my money can get me. I want to be able to move the most furniture, mulch, wood, gravel ETC I possibly can in one load. So Im buying the long bed. But the step sides look great. My taste just revolves more around function over form
save the Continental!! :-) They drive so nice, I had a black one loaded, with the chrome rims.. was very good on gas..and had good power.. goes back into O/D at 100 mph and keep pullin. just the transmissions are the weak point on them usually. I'd say paint the Town car white.. red to me doesn't look good on a Lincoln..all I drive ..are Lincolns :-)
I love those continentals I do. But if I add one more car to my collection without clearing out some of the old stuff Im going to go broke haha. Ive saved alot. But its time to thin out my current collection before continuing.
I hear you, can't save 'em all.. I have a few to many.. it's tough, time and money... never enough.. I sold my perfectly running continental and bought a 2003 town car Cartier just turned over 100k miles.. it came with issues.. vibrations and low rpm misfires.. no codes seems to be running lean.. gave it a injector flush.. seems to have helped.. cars can be a pain
D4x4Bronc I've checked the plugs look new.. I did clean the maf sensor.. coils are original.. but the thing is.. it has a low rpm misfire like all cylinders.. I did a power balance test and watched the scanner while driving.. I noticed the torque converter when locked still was slipping.. not at 0 but even in park under no load I feel a drop.. but seems better after the injector flush.. I'll drive it more and look at the plugs.. before they were very white.. like its running lean.. car runs very smooth and mpg is very good I can baby the car and get near 32 mpg driving the backroads.
462ANIMAL Have a lit check engine light/any codes? What were the results of the power balance test? Did you do a relative compression test on all 8 cylinders? Is there any moisture in the spark plug holes especially cylinders 4 and 8 (closest to the firewall)? Have you hooked up a scan tool that can give you per-cylinder misfire counts? Have you pressure tested the cooling system? Does your coolant seem to magically disappear sometimes? Panther body TC's, Crown Vics, and Grand Marquis all have the tendency to develop cracks in their plastic intake manifolds, and when they start to go they can have the exact symptom you have. It's common to find cyl 4/8 half full of coolant that came from a crack on the intake. The 100k miles is a consideration as well since that's about the mileage they like to break at.
462ANIMAL It wouldn't be a bad idea to replace your fuel filter too. It's worth mentioning that if you do have a lean issue, that might be why your MPG is so nice... cause, damn... 32? A lean condition raises combustion temperature, so if you sit on your hands because of the MPG you run the risk of burning a valve. Just sayin'...
I haven't reset the time, and I've NEVER put a battery in it since i bought it. I'm not endorsing, but this is the best watch I have ever owned and Ill totally buy another.
Its funny, you see a lot of rich guys that don't give a darn about selling their old car. They're just like "Meh, that old thing?" and just give it away. Screw that!! You can get 500 bucks for just about any car, usually closer to $1,000.
Especially around here. They either got wrecked because kids thought they were hotrods, or they got beat to hell on farms. And if that didnt ruin them, the rust did.
Spennyman10 due to the amount of stolen vehicles. we can only accept cars with valid titles. So all of the cars that are purchased to be recycled as of March 1st 2017 MUST HAVE VALID TITLES. we cannot accept any complete cars without it. so all of our cars now have paperwork to go with them!
No cause they get paid to keep fixing them that's why they use them After the transmission failure in our trailblazer and 2 transmissions in our 1500 we had that was the last straw, even my friends piece of shit chevy keeps blowing through starters and transmissions, also rotor and cuff every 6 months. My other friend has a 96 7.3 power stroke for many years and it hasn't needed any of that shit changed. Still original injectors. And glo plugs 350k strong
I've never seen a grey four-door convertible Chevy Stepside before
Plus it's NOT a Silverado, it's a Cheyenne! Jay is really having one terrible "off" day with this posting.

Candy Apple sounds great... what happend to it? How did it turn out?
gotta love the Cheyenne! i got a 5.7 Cheyenne 1500 4x4 just needs to get a new engine, cant wait to get it running again
I daily drive a 93 Chevy 5.7 Auto with a stock exhaust and straight piped and i fucking love that thing, interior look brand new not even a rip or tear
I would love to see all these vehicles you say you're goin' to fix up, fixed.
nice step side you guys have their i have a 91 k1500 ext cab 350 with a 5spd manual and i freaking love that truck very last years of the real trucks
I'm a Volkswagen Beetle nut and was wondering what happened to the beetles you bought a while back. like the videos and keep them coming
I like it! And you can't go wrong with candy apple red. I can tell where you get your interest in cars from, your dad is always wrenching on something.

Well you said you wanted a truck that could be really nice given the chance.
You have the parts and the wheels there to make a really nice truck
Thats the plan! except with a nice SBC swapped out for that tired 4.3
Jay you should Camber the truck lol
You guys have such cool jobs.
Its a pretty sweet gig i do think so
White is a good color for the Lincoln. I really want to buy that! It looks so nice...but I'd never cut the roof off myself.
Im thinking its going white honestly. Hot Rod red might draw too much unneeded attention
That's a pretty clean little truck!
I just bought me a 88 Lincoln town car for next to nothing and I love it it needs some work tho
never understand why close so early on weekend when u know people work during the week
Yeh I dont get this either, this is why people just get stuff off ebay
Easy money there. I would fix one that clean as they sell easy, I even converted one to four wheel drive as it is way easier than one thinks. Easier than engine swap

Is there a video about that Lincoln? Is it really a 4 door convertible or did someone just cut the roof off?
Do you have a website? And if you don't what's the name of your yard and where is it?
Btw manuals are a I hard to find in v8s they were somewhat common for v6
Cool Truck. You rarely see them anymore.
Especially around here. They either got wrecked because kids thought they were hotrods, or they got beat to hell on farms. And if that didnt ruin them, the rust did.
Oh yeah, especially here up North. Rust ate these up as well many other cars. Smh.
Need some of those super reclining seats.. Damn.. lol

Does anyone get mad there if you want to take pictures of the old cars
I have a 1994 red stepside 4x4 gmc.5.7
It is an 1987 or 1988
Chris Lemaster It is at least an 88. The 87 was the last year on the square body truck which I have. 88 was the first year of this body style.
It could be a late 1987 model year Chevrolet changed the design in mid year. My friend had the same truck and his was a 1987 built in May of 1987.
Hello hello how are you? :) ciao peace jbgtravel
black
Junk.
eh just crush it chevy sucks
Forgott3n Gaming that's why almost all circle track, drag cars, resto mods, and general car guys swap a GM/chevy v8 Into their cars.
No cause they get paid to keep fixing them that's why they use them

Forgott3n Gaming your thinking of fords the only good thing about fords is if sometimes when you start it stays running
@@NoBrakesGarageTheOriginal seems funny my ford has 274k and still going strong.
