      Thanks a lot.. always fun fishing my friend! I will be checking out your new video later... saw the notification. I saw you had a bowfin. I almost caught my first bowfin last year but he broke off.

    Beautiful bullhead and channel catfish!!! Wow that lake is loaded with all kinds of fish. I would love to see you catch a 100 lbs catfish Dave!!! As always great video 👍👍

      I have to slowly work my way up to the 100 catfish and fisherman fame, lol. I appreciate the comments Jun. I wanted to use my jerkbait in the shallow waters behind the dam but my spiderwire wasn't casting right... always something with me, lol. Beautiful lake and an occasional rainbow/brown trout swims down the Dan river up into the lake from the VA side. Best fishing lake in the U.S. aside form the great lakes maybe... Shhh! Don't tell.

    Nice vid, Dave! Enjoyed watching you go from bass to catfish. Very nice seeing the full catches too!!

      Thanks a lot Tony. I wish I could get the full catches more but am not a good-enough-fisherman yet to catch them live without burning out the batteries, lol. I have gotten a lot better catching fish watching several great fisherman on here, you included. It sure makes a trip much better if you can atleast catch a few.

      @@excursionamericaexa No pressure, just a little encouragement is all. It’s also tough creating, but not knowing what little tweaks could make a difference. Not telling you what to do, just positive encouragement. I enjoyed the video regardless, so don’t stress it out. 👍 Fish on, my friend!

      I appreciate it Dan. I have improved a lot since I first started making them, or hopefully have. I used not to have the right balance with music volume, quiet time, etc... I still have a lot of work to do and get better watching everyone else's videos on here. You always pick up a thing or two watching others. Hopefully things are warming up in Alberta Dan! I enjoyed your reviews last week.

    Great video and great job buddy! Appreciate you taking us along on your adventures. I love fishing Kerr lake, even though it's been tough over the past few years getting some really nice bass. But I think it's on the rebound no, at least I hope. Keep doing what you do! #ExcursionamericaExa rocks!

    • @excursionamericaexa
      @excursionamericaexa  ปีที่แล้ว

      I appreciate it so much David. I have read online that a few spotted bass are in Kerr Lake. I sure hope not and hope they can be eradicated somehow quick. I read in the state magazine that they are native to the western side of the mountains in NC... They will destroy the largemouth fishery. Just an awesome lake and area to spend some time at!

      Thanks a lot Dan1 It sure was chilly out there for almost May. Hopefully I can get some bigger ones here soon but always have fun catching any size. I think the bass are bigger and easier to catch up there in NJ, lol... You catch a lot of bass over 3 pounds... almost every trip out. I need to get some Mepps spinners again because you tear them up with that and the rapala.

      I wish I was skilled enough to catch one. I will go back pretty soon. I saw some big catfish skulls in the rocks, say 10 to 25 lbs... much bigger ones there. Go check it out, great lake. Thanks for the feedback!

      @excursionamericaexa  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea right Dug. Maybe one day if I get lucky enough... I think my catfish record is about 12 to 15lbs, lol. I think I have only ever caught 2 blue catfish anyway. I bet you could catch one. Thanks!
