Thanks it sure has been tough fishing in the colder temperature for me. Hopefully the bass will be biting better soon closer to the bank.

Thanks Ryan, it had been cold lately so this was the first day that it was warm enough. I went out today for an hour or so in high 50's but got skunked on bass lures. I was glad to get those fish on worms. Wouldn't mind snagging a trout like you last week.

Thanks a lot Dan and glad you are well. It has been cold down here as well but not as cold as up that way. It is finally in the 60's this week, going out in a couple hours when it warms up... Hopefully the waters will warm up so the bait fish and bass come in more shallow. Hopefully it warms up that way soon so you can go sneak a largemouth or trout. That's a nice car you have... keep it running smooth for another car show this summer.

Thanks Tony, it felt good to catch a fish again. I either had gotten skunked or the water had been frozen lately. Yea, that kayaker got a little close to me and the bank but I am not sure he saw me earlier. I also threw out a soft-plastic crayfish and let it sit with another rod but didn't get a bite on it. Hopefully some bass later this week on a lure.

Thanks so much Jun. It is the Penn Wrath, pretty decent reel for pretty cheap. I actually tripped a few months back in and broke the handle off, lol. It is a handle from another reel until I buy a new one. It works. It was a tough morning fishing in the cold weather Jun, has been for weeks... that's why I think you are such a great fisherman because you nail them year round. I usually only do good in warmer temps.

Thanks a lot Chris. It has been so cold that this was the first day above low 30s so I could get out for a few hours. I was lucky to catch anything but am grateful/had fun. I went out twice in the past couple weeks but the ponds and even Mayo River were frozen over mostly so glad to have some warm days in the 60s this week finally. I plan on going out tomorrow or the next day possibly and can hopefully catch a bass. I had such a great year last year that I am not sure I will ever top that one again. It's all about fun though, right? Glad you are doing well... saw the frozen Deleware river behind your river house in that one video last week.

I really appreciate it. I can't believe how lucky I got on some of those catches, especially the koi on a spinner lure. I wouldn't mind a few of those big smallmouth you get on the reg in 2025! Happy 2025 and can't wait for the first HHH video of 2025 when you get the time!

It probably was one of those big largemouth. That koi was such a surprise on a spinner. My biggest losses were 2 10 plus pound largemouth and one huge striper at the dock, probalby 15-20lbs. I got lucky this year... hopefully I can catch more in 2025. I want a muskie from you in 2025 Tony! I went to the Mayo a couple days ago for about an hour... water was way too low for someone of my skill... didn't see any at all. That river is awsome though...

@ Musky is hard to come by when wading. Someday, hopefully. I would like to find some snakeheads in ‘25. 🤞

Thanks a lot Tony. You told me you used to fish down here on your boat. I sure had some pretty good luck aside from them all being too small to keep, but am very happy with my results. I caught so many little ones I left by early afternoon and passed on going over to Atlantic Beach and Fort Macon.

Thank you sir! That's actually only the second time I have eve fished on radio island, the adjacent beach probably 50 times over the years when younger and in my father's old boat. Great area to fish if you enjoy coastal fishing. I need to get some more Go Pro batteries because I actually had a pelican fly into my line and get tankled for about ten seconds, thankfully the lure spoon was several feet down the line in the water.

@@excursionamericaexa I'm not sure what go pro you use but I got a door for mine so I can plug in a power bank into the usb c port. I haven't messed with go pro batteries after that.

Thanks a lot Jun! Blackbeard's ship is a mile out of that inlet there, was hoping to hook a treasure chest, lol. I had a lot of success, used a spoon because I could cast farther and get out deeper to them.

They are there year round, not sure how north this time of year. I did have a 4 hour drive though (8 round trip). My parents used to have a condo there (well Atlantic Beach aross the inlet there) when I was a kid for ten years or so... very nice area, has grown a lot since then. It was so cold in central NC last week I didn't go fishing (20;s and 30;s). Thanks Ryan!

Thanks Ryan, trying to get some more largemouth and a few bowfin if I can. It snowed lightly here last night, really cold weather, but I may go fishing tomorrow depending on what else I have going on. It is fun sometimes just fishing with cut bait and worms.

Thanks a lot Jun, I might snag a few up there one morning and drive them an hour twenty minutes up the road to the pond one day, definetley trying to get a variety to increase genetic diversity... which improves number of eggs and health of species.

Well you always have permission with me my friend if ever down this way. I need to come up there and fish with a few of you soon. I need to catch more bass for the pond, go bass fishing at Falls lake soon. I wanted to catch some bowfin, knew they were in there, Saw that dead one but had seen a pic from a subscriber.

I wish I could have put that striper in the pond but he probably wouldn't last. Yea, those blue cats and bass that I stocked previously need to eat too. I am hoping to get on some big fish again next video. I was using shad for bowfin at falls lake but had no luck there. Happy Thanksgiving Tony!
