You know what would be interesting: a universe where Max gets the watch, and intends to pass it onto Ben when he’s old enough, but in the summer vacation, he’s killed and Ben has to figure it out by himself
TBF, Ben 23 only turned out like he did because he lost Max at a young age. So you put the most powerful weapon in several galaxies in the hands of a fatherless child (because let's be real, Carl isn't even half the father figure Max is).
For my take on an Absolute Ben 10, I would take away his support system by making a simple fundamental change: Instead of a Plumber, Max was a Forever Knight. Due to the different ways the Knights operate, Ben and Gwen get brought into it a lot earlier at a young age. During squire training in the woods, Ben would come across the Omnitrix and turn into an alien. Only this time, instead of needing to deal with a forest fire, Ben needs to avoid the other squires, including his own cousin. This version of Ben keeps the Omnitrix a secret from _everyone,_ including Gwen and especially Max. Since he was exposed to the Knight's ideology and taught their beliefs from an early age, Ben would start out thinking aliens are inherently evil and need to be eradicated. But as he gains experience with the Omnitrix, meets more aliens who aren't bad people, and discovers Undertown, he comes to understand that they're just people. Some of them are bad, sure, but a lot of them are good.
3:30 You're going to make me cry. I was pretty close with my grandfather. Closer to him than anyone else in the house. He wasn't really my Grandpa Max but he was just someone I could go and talk to whenever. He passed away 11 years ago and I still miss him.
Sorry for your lost I lost my grandpa aswell I know the feeling it’s kinda how I came to theme of moving forward because that’s what they would want us to do
For me, that was my great grandma and my big cousin, and their absence left a massive void in me. My great grandma was the one person who could keep me calm, and when she died, I had major temper problems. I finally got it under control, but it only got worse for me when my cousin couldn't handle it anymore and took himself out. He was like the big brother I always wanted, and he always had some wisdom for me. I felt like no matter what I did wrong,he saw the good in me
I didn’t have a set age when making this pitch but anytime I do one of these or hear abt new Ben 10 content I see him as 13/14 since we’ve never seen Ben at that age
Honestly, my personal vote for an "Absolute Ben" is to not write another origin story(we argubly have enough Bens already), but instead to follow up on No Watch Ben from Omniverse. There is a lot that can be done with the premise that they never even got started on because the character and world was limited to 2 episodes. Just make it so something went disasterously wrong a few years after he became a plumber(Maybe an invasion on earth again, maybe an intergalactic war, maybe the native version of Vilgax showed up. Idk) and we follow him through his 20s in his fight to fix it.
Oddly enough, The idea of Max dying of trying to Kill Vilgax reminds me of Kuro's idea of what happened to Ben 23's Max. Aside from that, I love this! Hope to see much more of this amazing content!!
@@DanBoyWonderHe said that idea in ben 23's first appereance, Him and Ash also said idea of Vilgax in UAF to be Vilgax's son in the episode where he asked Zs'skayr for the secrets of the omnitrix. Anyhow, Always!! I love your videos, Have a great day
@@brandonmarthers Well, maybe Max could've succeeded in killing Vilgax but he died from his wounds or sacrificed himself to make sure Vilgax died and because Ben 23 doesn't know anything about the plumbers nobody ever told him why or how he died, or maybe his death got covered by them to keep the whole secret stuff
I imagined a scenario like instead of the Omnitrix crash landing in the woods somewhere imagine it crash landed directly on their campsite on the rust bucket and it kills both gwen and grandpa max and it still forcefully bonds with him anyways forcing him to be stuck with the device that killed the ones he loved.....this may be too much 🙁🙁
I sort dislike that way of killing off Max, it seems way too accidental and we don't need Gwen dying too. She'll be overshadowed by Max's death and she's a character that'll have more impact and growth alive than dead, it'll seem like a waste for her just to get the same results that we'd get from just Max dying. Also someone who has been always prepared for things just gets caught lacking so easily feels off to me personally. Max is more likely to die from a villain than the Omnitrix. But this is still a very unique idea, just not my personal favourite.
Thinking about it, I'd also throw in some changes to the initial playlist, give Ben some aliens that are harder to control, or ones that would get him labeled a 'freak' by the people he's trying to protect. Let him grapple with the emotional amplification of Rath and the impulses of Juryrigg, or deal with how people react to Ghostfreak or Eye Guy. Don't let Ben have the more 'tame/friendly' looking aliens as much, make him hide in the shadows for many of his missions, struggling to avoid ire from the public, who thinks he's part of the villains trying to destroy the town.
@@jeremychristianestillore1446That’s a great parallel especially with Spirits the Manga) and Gavv (though Reiwa). Having Ben acknowledge that he is also a monster to the common people though still fighting for them is pure kino
2:38 Instead of being a quiet and sheltered kid this version of Ben starts acting out and hanging out with certain delinquents. Cough cough Kevin 11 cough Ben becomes the troubled child in the family while Gwen becomes the golden child. This causes a rift between the two caused by jealousy and resentment. Gwen tries to fix the rift between them by inviting Ben to a camping trip. A space ship containing a member of the galactic enforcers crashes near the campsite. The alien gives Ben the watch with the Omnitrix he finds purpose and gains newfound self worth.
One thing I thought about: if I'm remembering right, the Absolute universe is centered around Darkseid or built on his evil or something. Going along with that, it'd be neat to focus more on Vilgax's status as a conqueror. Maybe his territory is so big and he's such a threat that the Coalition of Planets had to sign a peace treaty with him to avoid war and he has a major influence on the universe. Also, this gave me some inspiration for my own AU Ben story. I wasn't sure what to do with Max but I think killing him off would be an interesting decision. Also got an idea of a certain Galvan showing up, presenting himself to be Azmuth and being a sort of mentor for Ben (and of course, it'd just be Albedo lying like shit). I'd love to see you add onto this idea in the future.
@@DanBoyWonder Ben 10 is basically Star Wars. Ben = Luke Skywalker, Gwen = Leia, Grandpa Max = Old Ben/ Obi Wan Kenobi, Kevin Levin = Han Solo, Vilgax = Darth Vader with a Xenomorph design.
Ben 10 has a special place in my heart, with it being a series that aided me through my formative years. The idea of taking something away from a character, and seeing how it changes them is so interesting to me. You can tell a lot about the direction of a series based on the choices made by the writers, and artists, but the feel of it can vary wildly from person to person. I don't believe I could add anything substantial to the conversation, but I did want to say that this video really got me thinking about what that universe could look like. Thank you so much!
Absolute Nightwing would either be his parents not dying and being drafted into the Court of Owls and becoming a Talon. ORRRRRRRRR!!!!! Bruce Wayne was never Batman, so when Dick’s parents died he was sent into foster care and became a vengeful vigilante, Red X.
Given how much we already know about Abs-swole-lute Bruce, Dirk being a talon goes little too far into the new (recent) Batman mythos. But it was a recycled new52 content from Black Glove unfinished storyline... I would rather see Drake in this universe, not Dick
The actual way to go would be Catwoman adopting Dick and have him become Nightcat or smthn. The big difference would not only be that he grew up in the opposite side of Gotham but also that he doesn’t have Bruce or Clark to guide him
Another idea is that the omnitirx has a personality making ben it's vessel if you will pulling him to do acts based on the alien or talking to him and controlling him when he's in certain aliens (ghostfreak but now for every alien)
I feel like Absolute Ben should have different starting aliens as well. For the sake of variety, lets say Azmuth was able to get every dna sample in the galaxy. Since Absolute is about change, lets make his first Alien not a fire one, but a water one. Water Hazard/Overflow (they were confirmed to be the 'same' Alien, but they scrapped the idea) Make his design more bulky, give him a sort of 'Optimus Prime' kind of look. Slow, clumsy, but high pressurized water will not only be able to come out of his hands, but his heels. Since Ben's second alien was a more animalistic one, lets say his second Alien is BenWolf/Blitzwolfer. Have him be like a Rath situation where the transformation changes his personality, a more 'gung-ho', attack everything thats seemingly not familiar to him. We can even have a storyline where it begins to affect his daily life, having him end up being slow during the day but wide awake during the night, in which Rook, in the future, may have to go and fetch Azmuth and introduce him to Ben. And of course, instead of being crabby and bossy, he gives Ben a bone and tries to be nice as possible to him. His 3rd alien was able to manipulate a certain material, and is likely made out of it, so why not Goop? Goop being an amorphous blob may teach Absolute Ben to fight in unorthodox ways, as, in this iteration of Ben 10, Goop... Cannot do hand-to-hand without his limbs splattering all over. Now the rest can be whatever, as they don't follow a pattern, so how about a flying Alien? A lot of people seem to forget about this one... So how about Amp-phibian? This guy is the whole package. Electrokinises, able to travel through electric wiring, can fly, and phase through stuff! Hell he could be our 'Ghostfreak' that eventually escapes the Omnitrix and swears vengance on Ben, and, since Ghostfreak has a mjor weakness to light, lets say Amp-Phibian has a weakness to signal disruptors and EMPs. Of course that means we'll be getting a Zs'shok arc. How about a speedster? As much as i'd love to leave this out, unfortunately Wally will have to have a rival... Unfortunately... We may have to use Fast Track, and... Unfortunately, lets make him an Alien thats somehow tied to the Absolute Speed Force. XLR8 would be a good Alien, but i feel as if it he could fit the 'Absolute' theme. For the sixth Alien, lets give Ben a brawler, and i cannot think of a good brawler more than Kickin' Hawk. Have him also be an alien that changes Ben's personality, have him be more of a showboat in that form. Now we need an Alien for raw strength, when pure fighting mastery isn't good enough... And i think this could be an excellent way to reveal for Absolute Power Man. A kryptonian, just like Super-Man, however since Kryptonians get power from absorbing sunlight, Ben is going to wonder why his Kryptonian transformation isn't strong... Like... At all... Like he can LIFT an apartment complex, but he can only levitate like 3 inches off the ground, his laser eyes causes minor itching, his frost breath just gives people a slight chill and thats it. Maybe we can have a storyline where Kal'El is confused as to why there's another Kryptonian being seen in random places in the place HE is supposed to be stationed at. Now, for the final 3. I feel like Ben should have some heavy-hitters as his final ones, so here we go: Absolute Way Big, Absolute Atomix (evolved from Absolute NRG) and Absolute Alien: X, only to be revealed when something like Absolute Black Adam or Absolute Trigon makes their move Absolute Atomix is, as said, evolved from Absolute NRG. I don't have the mental capacity to make the story, so i'll leave it up to y'all to make your own interpretation. Absolute Way Big will be just that, Absolutely massive, i'd say around the size of the Empire State building or the Tokyo Skytree. No lore changes needed, however if we need an excuse for Krypton to go away, we can make it so that a new born To'kuu Star blew it up thanks to a cosmic storm forming near it. Why? Absolutely no reason. Now... Absolute Alien X... Again, he should only be revealed when Absolute Black Adam or Absolute Trigon appears, and have it where they can sense his overwhelming presence and flee, not knowing what it is, but knowing that whatever it is, its far too powerful for them to try and continue with their invasion/destruction of earth... And it cuts to everyone Ben knows and maybe the Absolute Justice Leage trying to transform Ben back. Again this is just my whole idea of a roster, however i feel like i cheaped out by lettinv Ben have his 3 strongest transformation + a Kryptonian, but lemme know what you guys think
Wait a goddamn minute, you know who would be the best Max replacement? Carl or Gwen’s father. Now it’s their chance to help their son/nephew in place of their father.
I confess that this video of yours and the one by troyoboyo17 have encouraged me to imagine a character set in the Absolute Universe and it is Alucard from Castlevania even if I admit that I'm still trying to understand how to change his story.
My Absolute Ben would be one where he grows up in Kevins Abusive Household and winds up with the Rooters early on, he butts heads with Servantis to keep them in line but is more or less than their hunting dog
It sounds interesting. At first ya I was thinking this just sounds like ben 23, the more you got into it through the more it sound like just a sadder version of ben from alien force and ultimate alien, which honestly made a lot of sense the more I thought about it but I think I would have definitely changed something like maybe ben and Gwen's relationship has tension from ben trying to push gwen away well gwen is trying to pull him up back on to his feat well on the other side a local vigilante with some ify morals called lucky girl is getting really sick of all these aliens creatures getting in her way and trying to talk her into "being better"
Next, how Absolute Generator Rex? or Absolute Secret Saturdays? Man of Action (the studio who made Generator Rex, Saturdays and Ben 10) said they would like to reboot all these 3 series, and connect them all in cinematic universe. So what if there was an Absolute universe of it?
@@minestar2247 Yup, all 3 in the same universe. But Idk how they gonna implement Nanites in the same universe as everyone else. Secret Saturdays and Ben 10 can perfectly coexist though
I like the idea of max being dead, but another way of doing it that would fundamentally change ben’s course is if max died when Ben turns into heatblast. This changes how Ben sees the omnitrix and his relationship with Gwen.
I think youridea here is really solid. One tweak I might make is that maybe Gwen could be trying to do the vigilante thing herself before Ben. So she's Lucky Girl from the start. I think your idea of her channeling her grief and turning it into drive makes a lot of sense, but I also feel like it would make for a juicy contrast to have her going too far. Not killing bad guys too far, but being a danger to herself, being reckless with her own safety to try and live up to Max's example. That would essentially invert their original series dynamic, with her being the hothead and him being the level-headed one. But with no Max to be the guide, their relationship has a lot more push and pull, both caring for each other, but clashing a lot in terms of how to do things.
This is a great idea! I think it would be a cool idea to switch up Ben’s aliens, or even modify the powers of existing ones to fit the “take away a core aspect” part of the absolute universe.
I would go with ben with 13 years a median point, that somewhat find a failed prototype version of the watch and after trigger the first transformation he end stranded, and chased by aliens bounty hunter. And its be up to him cope with it alone being a natural conclusion to fix and improve the alien device, with a more terror film ambientation or collect alien tech to use when the watch its not a option.
In Ben 10 Alien Force, Verdona (Ben and Gwen’s grandmother) shows up because Max “died”. So I think it’d be cool if Gwen goes with Verdona to whatever alien planet Anodites are from, (I forgot) so Ben can be even more alone.
I sort of imagined an Absolute Ben 10 sometime around Secret of the Omnitrix. For some reason or another (I know, helpful.) Ben manages to convince or is signed on with Tetrax on his his ship, where he acts as a mentor and teacher to him from an early age to somewhere closer to his late teens. This means two things: One; Ben much like his original Ben 10,000 counterpart didn’t take off the Omnitrix, meaning he’s had it since he was ten for a little over a decade. And two; he has the mentoring of Grandpa Max that the series originally had, but now has the natural skill and warrior mindset that Tetrax instills in him. Hell, have Myaxx tag along as well from time to time to spice things up. With this we get a sort of Cowboy-Bebop style space trek with Tetrax, Ben, Gludo, and Myaxx traversing the great beyond as Ben becomes much more like a vigilante than the classic “shape shifting space-cop superhero” we’re used to.
8:28 Or it’s not a son in the normal sense like with Ben and his dad Carl more of a Bruce Wayne and Damien Wayne/ Batman and the Robins, or a Superboy and Superman. Basically Vilgax’s “son” is either a random bloodthirsty Chimera Sui Generis or random alien that Vilgax took in a raised as the Heir to his empire (the Batman and the Robins way) or Vilgax found the best Chimera Sui Generis female and used her DNA to make a “son” (the Bruce and Damien Wayne way) or Vilgax simply cloned himself and made himself a son (The Superboy and Superman way)
My Ideo For Absolute Ben 10- Ben: Rather than discovering the Omnitrix at the age of 10, he instead discovers it in his teenage years. Due to multiple factors, he is less confident and more withdrawn then in canon. His story could be about a teen maturing not only into being a hero but adulthood as well. Gwen- In this universe, Gwen's spark was noticed far earlier by Verdona and she was taken in by her at a young age. For the most part she would be solely in her Anodite form, having long shed her human skin and her story can be about understanding what it's like to be human and rekindling bonds with a family she never really got to know. Kevin- In this universe, his biological father was never killed and he was raised by him and when he first meets Ben he would be a young plumber who stumbles upon Ben during an investigation into the Omnitrix and alien sightings. Not 100% sure about what his story could be, but it should definitely have something to do with mutation caused by at some point absorbing power from the Omnitrix. Grandpa Max- For Max he is a Forever Knight possibly to track down Verdona and retrieve Gwen, maybe feeling betrayed by her after abandoning their family and kidnapping their granddaughter. Due to manipulation by Driscoll or maybe even this version of Phil he would join the knights to exterminate all Alien Life on Earth.
My pitch for an Absolute Ben 10 would be him getting the Omnitrix at 17-18 and have Paradox be his main mentor instead of Grandpa Max. The main villain would be Eon and Paradox tells this Ben what makes him so different from Ben Prime is that his decisions with the Omnitrix could make him turn the Hero of Heroes that he is meant to be or one of the most dangerous villains in the multiverse. Paradox wants this Ben to see the importance of using his power not for selfish gain, but for the well being of others, or he would soon turn into a megalomaniac like Eon.
I love Max cause of death being vilgax helps drives Ben's rivalry with vilgax as being super personal. Edit I like Rook being a mentor of Ben being a reverse of their Omniverse but I feel like tetrax should be the mentor figure teaching Ben how to use the Omnitrix and how to fight aliens
Maybe we could start the story around the beginning of High School when Ben is around 12/13. Where after grandpa Max's death maybe he gets bullied for being the "quiet kid" (Ben's obviously grieving but kids in high-school are a**holes). With gwen seeing this and being concern for Ben like you mentioned, this could be motivation for her to invite him to that camping trip.
I think a cool idea for absolute Ben Ten that would go well with your idea is that he’s afraid of going hero. That the aliens seem scary to him in a way. And it’s a fear to over come.
I would be interested if they did some fights where ben isn't using the omnitrix and showcase all the skills he's gained over the years It would be pretty cool to see Ben throw hands as a human ,not an alien to prove that he doesn't always need the Omnitrix like he said before
You honestly went in a COMPLETELY different direction that I thought you would... And I kinda love it! The way I would do it would also involve getting rid of Max, but also, the thought of him sending the Omnitrix to Ben is GENIUS so let's incorporate that, too. However, instead of a Camping Trip, the watch straight drops in Bellwood, causing a MASSIVE ruckus. Maybe killing a few people. Ben rushes in, seeking to help who he can, and then the Omni catches on to his DNA being similar to Max's and gets on him on the spot. Turns into an Alien and BOOM! First conflict immediately! Afterwards, he could leave (as you said, on his own) and tries to make his powers make sense... But before any of that? He has to deal with the people coming after him, as they do all Alien threats... THE PLUMBERS. Make THEM the big, bad boogeyman from his PoV, slowly realizing that Ben is helping people despite having an alien artifact. As it turns out, our green friendly cryptid seems to be cool, and it's better if (after a few misunderstandings) they eventually get him on their side... Before Vilgax shows up and tries to sway him to his, rather than kill him, as grooming Max's offspring would be DELICIOUS revenge. Ben eventually needs to lay low and de-stress, so he goes to his cousin Gwen... Not knowing she's a Plumber herself already. It's Gwen, after a powers reveal and a slight scuffle that convinces her cousin to let the Plumbers train him after a while, with Rook taking the place you mentioned. Eventually, Vilgax shows up and tries to manipulate Ben into doing things his way. While Ben adamantly refuses (or plays along for a little while while doing things his way) eventually, Ben splits from both Vilgax AND the Plumbers, becoming a solo hero, and occasionally teaming up with the one person that understands what it's like to roll by yourself: His childhood friend and now personal chauffeur (though he will never admit it) Kevin Levin! And then make it a "road trip" as the two travel together facing remixed versions of the villains from the original, occasionally crossing paths with Gwen and the Plumbers from time to time... Take it from there, I guess! I'm more interested in what Ghostfreak, Hex and Charmcaster would be like in this world...
Remember when the Forever Knights were looking for the Sword of Ek Chuaj and Max was really serious when pursuing them Yeah, if that storyline happened right after the first fight with Dr Animo, then Ben would have learned how to be a hero with the context of a super serious Max. I think this would work with the absolute Ben idea
Liking your pitch of a more somber Ben. This is my pitch for Absolute Ben. I’m really enjoying the idea of more introverted introspective Ben, learning to be this shapeshifter hero without any real support system to back him up (until much older Rook finds him but it’s a rockier start because the plumbers are less of a police force and are actually a small group of people/aliens not liking Bellwood and the injustices everyone is facing in the area). He’s alone in a way but also not because the Omnitrix talks to him (only to him), so now he has a voice in his head telling him how and what he should and he’s just a mess doing it but dear god is he going to keep trying. His Parents are being there for him but it’s not the same without Max. Gwen is excellent in her studies (and knows her heritage earlier) ,hangs out with her boyfriend Kevin, who still has a couple issues to work out but still has a heart of gold-ish, he’s looking out for his community. Julie and Ben actually had a pretty good relationship as friends, they tried dating but it didn’t work out. Animo is one of Bens teachers at his school. He’s goes off having crazy mad scientist rants here and there but calms down because it’s more of mental issue. The classic Tennyson charm and quips are more of the watch than Ben himself. He’s constantly pointing out how nobody talks like that while the Watch (let’s call it Eunice) says that he’s no fun. Every time they go ‘hero’ , Eunice switches personalities between transformations. Azmuth is more like his OS version after Max died,he thinks the universe is better off destroyed because in this world everyone and I mean everyone fought over his device (he still follows Max’s last words though) which pisses him off greatly. He sends it out to nowhere until the tracker for Max’s DNA goes off to search for Ben. The world I’m thinking of, is one where every major war, battle, and grand fights in Omniverse terms already happened and because the creation of the Omnitrix happened. There’s barely any species left. Now, the Omnitrix has more of meaning as a Noahs ark but for aliens. Earth acts like a refugee camp for most species because most of their homes are destroyed or species were wiped out. Bigotry and hatred run rampant even after years of aliens living on earth. Most had to adjust or didn’t because they couldn’t let go. Bellwood is still a relatively normal town, but the city itself is like Gotham with a light cyberpunk touch. Police are a mix of Six Sixes and Eight Eights. Attea and her father run a company that’s pretty shady. Like Absolute Superman, due to being the last of its kind. Alien X is a much more melancholic transformation, the ‘skin’ and galaxies are dimmed, briefly glows because it’s all that’s left of *everything*. Serena and Bellicus are MUCH añore erratic. Whenever Ben transforms, the citizens have a little hope knowing that they’re not entirely alone. Manny and Helen are inspired by this new hero to fight back. I kinda rambled, longer than I expected
LOVED THIS PITCH!! My first immediate thought with the title was to take away Grandpa Max, so i think you hit the nail on the head. A few different things from the video that popped into my head were: 1. Giving Ben a completely different playlist. Maybe even entirely original, although I'd love to hear people's ideas for Absolute Ben's starting playlist. I'd want it to be some of the more fucked up aliens or ones with bigger learning curves. 2. Have Kevin be a plumber cadet. That's as far as I got with that 🤣. 3. Have the plumbers be helpful only some of the time. My idea is an only sometimes effective bureaucracy with some corrupt elements.
For me, an absolute Ben 10 would be a Ben 10 that has neither Granpa Max, Gwen or The Plumbers. Making Ben a more serious fighter, but also more desperate
I sometimes wonder what would've happened if Grandpa Max trained Ben to be a Plumber in the future as a kid. I also what would happen if he was trained to be a Plumber then lost Grandpa Max. I hate how they butchered Ben in Alien Force by getting rid of all of his character development by season 2. Also, I just subscribed.
It would be cool if ben could talk to the aliens acting as different versions of himself. Imagine feedback being an actual character that ben loses, maybe being his first alien in this version instead of heatblast.
Ben finds the watch, but every time he uses the watch, he gets left with a mutation of that alien. So if he uses heatblast, he starts to get a rocky fire left/right arm. If he uses wildmutt he keeps the heighten sense of smell. If he use greymatter he keeps the hyper intelligence but it causes him headaches. You get it though, maybe make it temporary or as a forever effect. If it is forever, he has to play it smart everytime he uses his new abilities. He will have to use the same aliens, or be a new one, and then suffer the consequences.
Someone called Theskull110 did an au call Wartrix: After losing his grandfather and being exposed to the pressures of the plumbers and the government, Ben would choose to hide the wartrix until the Government subsides, but after a new danger appears he would resume his role as a warrior. This also could be an idea of an absolute Ben too.
Yk I was never really feeling the whole absolute Batman thing from the jump personally. It felt like an uninspired fan story that some how got legitimate. HOWEVER your take on Absolute Ben would be pretty interesting tbh we are very much overdue for a grittier serious take on the kid with the omnitrix.
I like this pitch its really refreshing and i would like to see how ben would be without the likes of Max in his early hero years. And it would be cool to see Ben interact in the story without Max's guidance and support and having gwen move on from maxs death and is mainly doing her own thing sounds like something I see her doing and Kevin in this verse starting off as more of a antihero sounds cool as hell and it would be a unique take on the charcter. And also i never thought Ben would end up like ben 23 mainly due to the fact that 23 at least to me may still be ben but at the end of the day hes just a alternate ben no other then rest we seen Im omniverse. To me if Ben didnt have Max I can see him being misguided and feel like hes not up to the task with wielding the omnitrix then using it for fame since og ben always had a good heart and when things like the universe were at stake you could see he has doubts about himself which i do believe we would see more of without Max or Gwen around. I like this pitch for absolute Ben 10 a lot this was a great video 👍
Here's my pitch for an Absolute Ben 10, though it's really more of a new Ben 10 series with similar coming of age themes to FLCL. Here goes. In this universe, Ben is now twelve years old, having been spending the summer by going on road trips with Gwen and Max for the past two years now. While he enjoys the road trips, he feels like there's just something missing from his life. After all, as far as he knows, nothing amazing ever happens in Bellwood, everything is ordinary. But one day while Ben is exploring the woods with Gwen and their childhood friend Kevin, he discovers a crashed alien ship housing an amnesiac blonde woman who only knows that her name is Eunice and that she's supposed to give something to Ben. That something is, of course, the Omnitrix, which shall be used as a metaphor for puberty as Ben grapples with what the future holds for him as he discovers the secrets of the Omnitrix and uses it to protect his home from the forces of evil.
I think if we're having a more mental dark ben that rises up to be the hero, a different set of aliens should be his first 10. Ones that I think would affect him mortal without max there after the time out as they do have an effect on Ben's mental state while in the forms. My picks are. Rath as a hyper aggressive, strong alien and without the training he had with the original series and the time in alien force before getting him. Ben could have a hard time controlling him and kill someone cause him to fear the power of the watch before working past it. Big chill for a ghost alien that isn't ghost freak as he would be better suited for a villain role than an evil power within for now. Bullfrag as a good water option that isn't going to die on land, and with how good he is, ben could drop his guard around the Incurseans, by not getting a kill everything feeling from bullfrag. Juryrigg for a tech alien to build the tech since he wouldn't have the rust bucket. Spider monkey for an agile option. Pesky dust for a flying option, and the alien wasn't using that much so let's give it some attention. Shocksquatch for an energy option that isn't fire. And they can be a part there ben gets hunted by big foot hunters and I think that would be funny. Snare-oh and Blitzwolf for monster option that could cause retired earth plumbers to hunt him as from past experiences those aliens have only caused destruction. And Blitzwolf can handle the tracking that wildmutt did in the order. Water hazard for deep water encounters and fire fighting.
honestly this kind of story could fit pretty well into the new ben 10 comic cartoon network is currently cooking up(which i assume is a new reboot, but i really hope it isnt just some type of spinoff or random story compliation set in the prime timeline), the new reboot could be like a new and more mature take on ben 10, and this video perfectly sums up how i imagine it, great job
An idea that I think would be cool is maybe servantis could be one of the plumbers sent to earth alongside rook who becomes more corrupt when he realizes ben could be dangerous with his omnitrix where he still has his own sense of justice (kinda like sinestro)
My version would probably be on the darker more mature side. Ben would be emo after the loss of Uncle Max and Gwen would be the older verbal abusive cousin. Ben would have crippling anxiety and cause self harm to his self. Kevin would be the rich obnoxious guy who is a hero in the city with no secret identity and his own team and technology company that he took over after getting his parents out the way once his powers kicked in. And Ben would be on his own completely probably gets a gf later on til she is killed in a monster invasion from Dr. Animo. Ben would be closer to a Peter Parker with a symbiote being the omnitrix.
GRANDPA MAX REALLY didnt have that much belief in ben in the early stages of the show, so grandpas last wish being ben get the watch doesnt make sence wen grandpa had much hope in gwen than him
I really like the base idea here, I do think I'd personally add 2 things here to made it feel more "Absolute". I get the impression the world this takes place in is a lot more harsher, being something Darkside made, so I think Ben or least his Aliens should be shunned a lot more. Definitely a story that would have to tackle Xenophobia like how Absolute Superman is. I think it would be cool if Ben still transforms into Heatblast, or maybe a more destructive Alien, and struggles to fix the damages he made in the forest, leading to a negative view for him. Instead of the news referring to him as his transformations as "Alien Heroes" they would be referred to as "Alien villains" or any similar phrase. Also, it seems the Absolute characters have a slight powerset change. Like Wonder-Women being more weapon based, Batman being more brutal / less skilled and Superman being... Well idk what his change is, haven't seen much of his series lol, but I think Ben should follow suit. I think it would be cool if the Omnitrix worked more like it was explained in the classic pop-trivia, as in if Ben uses an Alien for too long or isn't prepared, he risks damaging his own DNA. It was stated this is the reason why the watch has a 10 minute time limit on it, which isn't a cannon thing anymore. You could use to as a theme of giving hope despite the risks, as Ben knows with every transformation he risks loosing human form. It probably wouldn't be a forever issue, as Ben 10k in the classic continuity could be an Alien for very long periods of time, but you could build up to as a way of Ben building confidence as a Hero. Sorry for the text wall lol
One thing I'd personally I think it would be super interesting if Kevin and Ben actually grew up together. Maybe in this canon, Devlin (who I know was a Rooters implanted memory, but this is a new continuity) didn't die, and so Max and him stood close, with Ben and Kevin growing up as childhood friends, but drifting apart after Max's death. It'd also be interesting to have a version of Kevin who grew up having his father, in contrast to a Ben who lost Max. They could have something of a Peter Parker and Harry Osborn dynamic, with the best friends who will later become enemies but then reconcile. I also think it'd be interesting if Gwen and Hope (Charmcaster) have some sort of relation, perhaps school rivals, prior to Gwen's magical abilities awakening.
Why not make Ben an adult when he first gets the omnitrix as that would change the whole dynamic as (hopefully) Ben would be more mature as an adult,Max would be too old to be on the field or maybe dead and Gwen could be there to help Ben deal with the new responsibility thrown onto him(or maybe she could be the hero as a lucky girl adjacent person when Ben is thrust apon this role). This new idea will make it so that Ben and Gwen uncover this insane world as well as their heritage together.
Dang, Dan and Troy know eachother hype Im imagining as Diamondhead instead of creating a forest fire his crystals spread and start enveloping him like quicksand and he has to calm down to reel them back in
Not a bad concept for "Absolute Ben 10" but here's how I would change the story: Ben never knew Grandpa Max- similar to your story but Grandpa Max died before Ben was even born The Omnitrix is NERFED for safety- Ben has to ACTIVELY seek out alien allies to gain alien transformations, the story is less about action and more about making meaningful connections Gwen gets corrupted by magic and Anodite form- without a proper guidance, even with maturity Gwen would succumb to temptation of privileged power Forever Knight Kevin- Kevin would get adopted by Forever Knights and serve as a middle ground between Forever Knights and Aliens Rook- I'm going with your idea but Rook will be much older then Ben to be his mentor No more human Plumbers- humanities branch of Plumbers will be wiped out by Vilgax' army or trapped in Null void where they become Rooters Earth has fully embraced aliens- basically what happened in OG Ben 10000 but from the very start of the story Albedo inherits Azmuths role- In this timeline Azmuth has naturally passed away and has left the Omnitrix in hands of his less capable assisstant-Albedo. Myaxx is Vilgax' daughter- My spin on your "Vilgax son" idea, Myaxx is a reluctant anti heroine, balancing her righteousness with duty to her father
There was an interesting AU comic I found on Insta where instead of alien dna, the watch contains demons and Granpa Max was a demon hunter. Heatblast burned Gwen's eye before Max thrashed him and Ben wrestled control back.
I feel like the perfect thing to change about ben that is line with the rest of absolute DC is changing when Ben gets the omnitrix, he always gets it at 10 years old, but i say that in this new story, he instead gets the Omnitrix at 16 or 17
This is a pretty cool concept, but I don't think it fully embraces the concept of the absolute universe that DC is bringing. Here my vision: Following the idea that Grandpa Max died when Ben was a child, this would mean that Ben and Gwen never traveled that summer, meaning Ben doesn't find the watch when it falls to earth. Instead, the Omnitrix is found by government forces who take it away to be studied. The Omnitrix is kept in a secret USSF facility where government scientists have been trying for years to discover the origin of the alien object and its real function. Several attempts to use the Ominitrix have resulted in volunteers transforming into monstrous human-alien hybrids - these volunteers become agents of a task force called "The Plumbers". Scientist Kai Green ends up discovering that the Omnitrix is only capable of being used by people with a specific DNA - and it is soon discovered to be that of the Tennyson family. Ben Tennyson, a 20-year-old college student with no defined direction in life, is kidnapped by the "Plumbers" attack squad - led by Vice Lieutenant Kevin Levin - and taken to the USSF base, where he undergoes the procedure and ends up with the Omnitrix successfully attaching itself to his arm. Submitted to the will of the USSF, Ben is forced to join the "Plumbers", now that an eminent alien invasion is on its way to Earth (led by Vilgax and his army).
My vision for other characters in the cast of Ben 10 in an Absolute version would be: -Gwen discovered her magical heritage years ago after meeting Hex, becoming his apprentice and, after finishing school, traveling to LedgerDomain where she becomes his apprentice and best friends with Hex's niece, Charmcaster. As an adult, Gwen starts to use her magical powers to venture around the world in search of mystical artifacts (Like a Lara Croft with the powers of Doctor Strange). -Ben's boss in the USSF is General Nakamura, who is secretly a member of a secret society called "The Eternal Knights", made up of high-ranking members of the American government. He uses the code name "Enoch". -In this universe, the Omnitrix has its own consciousness, however, it remains inert until it comes into contact with Ben. The watch has a very sarcastic personality and a very morbid sense of humor (with always some nasty comment to ruin the moment).
I think giving Absolute ben some magic (just not as much as Gwen so he doesn't take her thing) would be dope, kinda like, idk, Mash from mashle but actually with magic, he just use spells that reinforce his physical attributes transformed and unstransforned
You know what would be interesting:
a universe where Max gets the watch, and intends to pass it onto Ben when he’s old enough, but in the summer vacation, he’s killed and Ben has to figure it out by himself
Great idea
Bus
you cooked with this one
There is an AU where young Max gets the Omnitrix.
That... sounds amazing. What about Gwen?
At first when I heard get rid of grandpa max I just thought so "absolute ben is ben 23"
That's exactly what I thought.
TBF, Ben 23 only turned out like he did because he lost Max at a young age. So you put the most powerful weapon in several galaxies in the hands of a fatherless child (because let's be real, Carl isn't even half the father figure Max is).
I was just going to comment that, if you just tweek his personality a little bit you already have Absolute Ben
Hear me out we get rid of earth images Ben dissent know what a human is
That's also exactly what had been pointed out in this video during the first 3 minutes.
For my take on an Absolute Ben 10, I would take away his support system by making a simple fundamental change:
Instead of a Plumber, Max was a Forever Knight.
Some of them are bad, sure, but a lot of them are good.
you just cooked mah man
yo.. this is cool, even thinking of making a comic or a visual novel regarding this

Imagine Ben was a plumber for years and found the Omnitrix in college.
Plumbers wouldn't be active at this point because Vilgax wouldn't have came to Earth without the Omnitrix crashing there

I gotta go find that I don’t remember hearing that idea from him I’d love to hear what he said and thank you
@@DanBoyWonderHe said that idea in ben 23's first appereance, Him and Ash also said idea of Vilgax in UAF to be Vilgax's son in the episode where he asked Zs'skayr for the secrets of the omnitrix.

He also said that it didn’t work because Ben 23 hadn’t heard of Vilgax
@@brandonmarthers Well, maybe Max could've succeeded in killing Vilgax but he died from his wounds or sacrificed himself to make sure Vilgax died and because Ben 23 doesn't know anything about the plumbers nobody ever told him why or how he died, or maybe his death got covered by them to keep the whole secret stuff
I imagined a scenario like instead of the Omnitrix crash landing in the woods somewhere imagine it crash landed directly on their campsite on the rust bucket and it kills both gwen and grandpa max and it still forcefully bonds with him anyways forcing him to be stuck with the device that killed the ones he loved.....this may be too much 🙁🙁
Could be very interesting
very dark, i like your version better
up
I sort dislike that way of killing off Max, it seems way too accidental and we don't need Gwen dying too.
Carnitrix
Thinking about it, I'd also throw in some changes to the initial playlist, give Ben some aliens that are harder to control, or ones that would get him labeled a 'freak' by the people he's trying to protect. Let him grapple with the emotional amplification of Rath and the impulses of Juryrigg, or deal with how people react to Ghostfreak or Eye Guy. Don't let Ben have the more 'tame/friendly' looking aliens as much, make him hide in the shadows for many of his missions, struggling to avoid ire from the public, who thinks he's part of the villains trying to destroy the town.
this reminds me of show a rider tropes ngl
Peak
Yoh you cooked on this!!! Gonna try doing a Absolute Ben redesign based of this vid for a series im doing
Make sure you link me when you do

Absolute Kevin 11 brother I believe his mutation would be PEAK
That would be badass!
3:08 not the sad _His World_ music 😭
Then we have absolute Gwen that follows Verdona to become a full Anodite
Absolute Nightwing would either be his parents not dying and being drafted into the Court of Owls and becoming a Talon. ORRRRRRRRR!!!!! Bruce Wayne was never Batman, so when Dick’s parents died he was sent into foster care and became a vengeful vigilante, Red X.
Given how much we already know about Abs-swole-lute Bruce, Dirk being a talon goes little too far into the new (recent) Batman mythos. But it was a recycled new52 content from Black Glove unfinished storyline...
I would rather see Drake in this universe, not Dick
I think the Absolute universe is meant to be a connected universe, so it wouldn't make sense for Bruce to never been Batman
The actual way to go would be Catwoman adopting Dick and have him become Nightcat or smthn. The big difference would not only be that he grew up in the opposite side of Gotham but also that he doesn’t have Bruce or Clark to guide him
@@psicopato2460 valid point
@@Tri-otus either way his ideology and upbringing would be different
Another idea is that the omnitirx has a personality making ben it's vessel if you will pulling him to do acts based on the alien or talking to him and controlling him when he's in certain aliens (ghostfreak but now for every alien)
I feel like Absolute Ben should have different starting aliens as well.
For the sake of variety, lets say Azmuth was able to get every dna sample in the galaxy.
Since Absolute is about change, lets make his first Alien not a fire one, but a water one.
Water Hazard/Overflow (they were confirmed to be the 'same' Alien, but they scrapped the idea)
Make his design more bulky, give him a sort of 'Optimus Prime' kind of look.
I feel like Ben should have some heavy-hitters as his final ones, so here we go:
Absolute Way Big, Absolute Atomix (evolved from Absolute NRG) and Absolute Alien: X, only to be revealed when something like Absolute Black Adam or Absolute Trigon makes their move
Absolute Atomix is, as said, evolved from Absolute NRG.
Heck naw let's be honest no one can replace grandpa max
@ An adult is still needed to take the kids to vacation in place of Max.
I confess that this video of yours and the one by troyoboyo17 have encouraged me to imagine a character set in the Absolute Universe and it is Alucard from Castlevania even if I admit that I'm still trying to understand how to change his story.
My Absolute Ben would be one where he grows up in Kevins Abusive Household and winds up with the Rooters early on, he butts heads with Servantis to keep them in line but is more or less than their hunting dog
ive been really enjoying your content man, reminds me of early ink tank days but with your own sauce. keep it up brother!

It's Anodyne, you uncultured swine.
Basically Vilgax’s “son” is either a random bloodthirsty Chimera Sui Generis or random alien that Vilgax took in a raised as the Heir to his empire (the Batman and the Robins way) or Vilgax found the best Chimera Sui Generis female and used her DNA to make a “son” (the Bruce and Damien Wayne way) or Vilgax simply cloned himself and made himself a son (The Superboy and Superman way)
My Ideo For Absolute Ben 10-
Ben: Rather than discovering the Omnitrix at the age of 10, he instead discovers it in his teenage years.
1:58 NOOOOO MY GOAT

My pitch for an Absolute Ben 10 would be him getting the Omnitrix at 17-18 and have Paradox be his main mentor instead of Grandpa Max. The main villain would be Eon and Paradox tells this Ben what makes him so different from Ben Prime is that his decisions with the Omnitrix could make him turn the Hero of Heroes that he is meant to be or one of the most dangerous villains in the multiverse. Paradox wants this Ben to see the importance of using his power not for selfish gain, but for the well being of others, or he would soon turn into a megalomaniac like Eon.
Bro, I NEED someone to write a fanfic story about this. This is such a great idea.
THIS IS SO COOL DUDE, GREAT VIDEO!!!
I would be interested if they did some fights where ben isn't using the omnitrix and showcase all the skills he's gained over the years
It would be pretty cool to see Ben throw hands as a human ,not an alien to prove that he doesn't always need the Omnitrix like he said before
You honestly went in a COMPLETELY different direction that I thought you would...
Remember when the Forever Knights were looking for the Sword of Ek Chuaj and Max was really serious when pursuing them
Yeah, if that storyline happened right after the first fight with Dr Animo, then Ben would have learned how to be a hero with the context of a super serious Max.
Yo this concept is actually interesting, i think there’s a few narrative gaps but it can definitely work. Would love to see something like this.
Absolute Ben 10 mob: HEY GIVE HIM THE PETER PARKER TREATMENT!!
This video is the definition of "Let him cook". I love the ideas presented here. I hope the upcoming Ben 10 comic is something like this.
I agree with no support origin. This would mean no backup so single mistake means failure so i would imagine Ben would turn much more serious
Awesome video man very cool idea would love to see a new ben 10 animated series be something like this
I sometimes wonder what would've happened if Grandpa Max trained Ben to be a Plumber in the future as a kid.
So the chaquitrix but play completely straight
Amazing video bro. Keep it up.
Oh hell yes!
Man COOKED HERE!!!!
In love with this idea for Absolute Ben 10
Interesting way to tell the story Ben 10 I really like it❤
Someone called Theskull110 did an au call Wartrix: After losing his grandfather and being exposed to the pressures of the plumbers and the government, Ben would choose to hide the wartrix until the Government subsides, but after a new danger appears he would resume his role as a warrior. This also could be an idea of an absolute Ben too.
Everytime i hear anything new, i do the same shit that you do...
"How can i make this about Ben 10?"
Back with another banger
But this concept would be so cool.
Omnitrix was never planned to be sent to Ben but it was always meant to be sent to Ben.
I love this idea of a Absolute Ben 10 story, really heartfelt and still keeps the core of the character intact, but still feel new and fresh.
honestly this kind of story could fit pretty well into the new ben 10 comic cartoon network is currently cooking up(which i assume is a new reboot, but i really hope it isnt just some type of spinoff or random story compliation set in the prime timeline), the new reboot could be like a new and more mature take on ben 10, and this video perfectly sums up how i imagine it, great job
nice bro i love it this ben is reluctant to be a hero nice
GOATed Music choices throughout the video.
W use of Sonic 06 music💯 Seeing as a Sonic x DC collab is set to happen, you should totally do a take on an Absolute Sonic
New Dan video let's goooo
Hopefully the new comic maybe continue series or something new Ben
Podrias hacer otras historias famosas de comics con versiónes de ben 10 como un superior Ben o old man Ben
Isn't superior Ben just albedo
Why not make Ben an adult when he first gets the omnitrix as that would change the whole dynamic as (hopefully) Ben would be more mature as an adult,Max would be too old to be on the field or maybe dead and Gwen could be there to help Ben deal with the new responsibility thrown onto him(or maybe she could be the hero as a lucky girl adjacent person when Ben is thrust apon this role). This new idea will make it so that Ben and Gwen uncover this insane world as well as their heritage together.
Because adult is too mature. Kids are more malleable.
This is a great story and concept for an absolute universe Ben 10. It is devestating though that Grandpa Max is dead in this story
Any other franchises you wanna see Absolute/Ultimate universes of? For me, it's Sonic the Hedgehog.
itll be crazy if the ben 10 comic is a part of the absolute universe since WB is the parent company
either way, this concept hits
Something that needs to happen
Is absolute generator Rex, where
he didn't have six & was instead
raised by white knight that would
Be interesting.
dude honestly thanks but now all i want is just a fun yet maybe slightly more mature ben 10 comic book or show
An Incredible Hulk type scenario where Ben is on the run from the military who are trying to capture him to study him would be pretty cool.
Dang, Dan and Troy know eachother hype
Im imagining as Diamondhead instead of creating a forest fire his crystals spread and start enveloping him like quicksand and he has to calm down to reel them back in
I have my own idea for Absolute ben 10
8:38 Or it could be Phil to make it interesting
Not a bad concept for "Absolute Ben 10" but here's how I would change the story:
Ben never knew Grandpa Max- similar to your story but Grandpa Max died before Ben was even born
The Omnitrix is NERFED for safety- Ben has to ACTIVELY seek out alien allies to gain alien transformations, the story is less about action and more about making meaningful connections
Gwen gets corrupted by magic and Anodite form- without a proper guidance, even with maturity Gwen would succumb to temptation of privileged power
Forever Knight Kevin- Kevin would get adopted by Forever Knights and serve as a middle ground between Forever Knights and Aliens
Rook- I'm going with your idea but Rook will be much older then Ben to be his mentor
No more human Plumbers- humanities branch of Plumbers will be wiped out by Vilgax' army or trapped in Null void where they become Rooters
Earth has fully embraced aliens- basically what happened in OG Ben 10000 but from the very start of the story
Albedo inherits Azmuths role- In this timeline Azmuth has naturally passed away and has left the Omnitrix in hands of his less capable assisstant-Albedo.
I would love to see this comic!
Fantastic video bro
I feel like the perfect thing to change about ben that is line with the rest of absolute DC is changing when Ben gets the omnitrix, he always gets it at 10 years old, but i say that in this new story, he instead gets the Omnitrix at 16 or 17
This is a pretty cool concept, but I don't think it fully embraces the concept of the absolute universe that DC is bringing. Here my vision:
Following the idea that Grandpa Max died when Ben was a child, this would mean that Ben and Gwen never traveled that summer, meaning Ben doesn't find the watch when it falls to earth.
My vision for other characters in the cast of Ben 10 in an Absolute version would be:
-Gwen discovered her magical heritage years ago after meeting Hex, becoming his apprentice and, after finishing school, traveling to LedgerDomain where she becomes his apprentice and best friends with Hex's niece, Charmcaster.
Damn I just realized you aren't even at 10k subs yet. People gotta sub.
Ben 10 content? Instantly subscribed. Mayhaps an absolute Dragon Ball concept?
I think giving Absolute ben some magic (just not as much as Gwen so he doesn't take her thing) would be dope, kinda like, idk, Mash from mashle but actually with magic, he just use spells that reinforce his physical attributes transformed and unstransforned
