With the news that a live action Ben 10 movie was canceled coming out recently, fans have been talking about the news. Some are happy about it and some are not, in this video I give my thoughts on the news and talking about if a live action Ben 10 movie could work.

A big budget live action Ben 10 movie could've been the start of a cinematic universe that would've surpassed the MCU. We could've not only gotten a Ben 10 saga showing Ben going from a kid,to a teen and to an adult. We also could've gotten a lot of spin offs fans would've loved. We could've had a Kevin 11 show, a Lucky Girl show, a prequel series with Max Tennyson and the plumbers. WE COULD'VE HAD THE SECRET SATURDAYS BACK.

@majrgaming2633 that's only for superhero films in the big franchises like Marvel and DC. Any Ben 10 live action production will be much lesser than that and likely be on a TV or similar service. Plus, some things in Ben 10 work better in animation. People would also likely butcher the story and give it the typical boring superhero blockbuster treatment. Am I the only one hear who thinks a live action Ben 10 wouldn't work that much?

The reason why the live action one piece was so good is because the author oda was working with Netflix and tomorrow studios, and he was gevin total creative freedom to help shape the series into something amazing 👏

The fact that we even got the first two movies was wild. And you know what? They were good enough for what they were. They were made for TV and Race Against Time managed to get four aliens on their budget. That’s unfathomable today
I guess I can agree with you there for a bit, as a Sonic glazer, if they actually put their heart and soul into it, perhaps it will come off good or just fairly decent, but if it can please both fans and non-fans of the franchise it's adapting with consistent and solid pacing , with notable storytelling, then I have zero complaints
I can see your point. Making the live-action movie so good that the low alien count is overlooked to gain more money for the second movie is a smart move they could pull, but I would much rather they go animated and have success with it to prove to WB that animation is worthwhile and the best way for superhero adaptations. I’m super excited for the Ben 10 comic and need Dynamite Comics to drop some news on it next month, because the wait has been killing me, I need to see the covers…

Bruh, like WB, don't know what they're doing. The franchise is worth over 8 billion dollars, surpassing others like Sonic the hedgehog. They are sitting on a gold mine. With a big budget, it could have had a lot of potential. They could've attracted a lot of the fans if done right. They are not beating the "we hate money " allegations. Ben 10 deserves to be on the big screen.

My issue with live action isn’t that it’d automatically be bad, it’s more that Hollywood seems to only value live action at times, so it’s just kinda tiring. Live action and animation both have their advantages and disadvantages and I feel like super hero and sci-fi/fantasy stories usually lend themselves better to animation. Obviously there are exceptions, like Lord of the Rings, but I’d appreciate it if we got more big budget blockbuster animated movies like Spider-Verse. And part of that would mean cutting back on the live action flood. Besides, a live action Ben 10 would need massive amounts of CGI anyway, might as well just make it an animated movie at that point.

They should honestly let a bunch of Ben 10 creators be involved with the previous Ben 10 show crews to make a live action movie as good as it can be. I’m holding out a little bit of hope that a theatrical release for a Ben 10 movie will happen in my lifetime, cuz I’ll be the first one to get tickets for opening night lol
Also, it feels like a lot of people, WB execs included, forget that Ben 10 is a multi-billion dollar franchise. People like Ben 10, whether they’re a casual fan or a diehard fan.

I dont think there should be another ben 10 movie unless the budget is over 100 mil, Ben 10 as a concept just doesn't hit the same live action, why make a ben 10 movie just for him to turn into 5 aliens? I REALLY want a movie but animated, think spiderverse, tmnt, etc.
It could work, but based on the absolute state of Hollywood, I'd rather not have them desecrate Ben 10, especially the classic series. Good adaptations, especially nowadays are the exception, not the rule.
I'd be down for a live action movie. I do like the 2 live action movies. Yeah, the CGI is bad, but CGI has come a long way since when Alien Swarm came out. And as long as they don't waste their budget on an abundance of car shots like AS, it could be good. I was actually amused by the abundance of car shots, not because I thougt it was funny, but because how out of place it was and how dumb of a decision it was to include so many of them
i think the art of the comic will honestly make or break the success of it, because a lot of the show was about the visual storytelling

@@william3100 Dude it would have made money because Ben 10 fans haven’t had any new content since 2021 2016 if we’re being realistic since people didn’t watch the reboot. So almost a decade without any new content people would have went to see it. It’s the same effect as people going to see live action Disney movies
@@Menoman235 except the number of Ben 10 fans compared to everyone else is pretty small. A relatively niche audience. Whereas the audience for old animated disney movies is MUCH bigger. The average person knows more about Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs than anything Ben 10.

Even if Race Against Time and Alien Swarm weren't the best, I still remember enjoying them as a kid.

Yes I am a bit sad and Pissed off about the Cancelation but I still think that WB could make some Easy Money if they do this and the same thing could be said for the Batman Beyond Animated movie if given a 2nd Chance.
Since the start of the year me and my best friend always talk about the potencial a Ben 10 Live Action have, we make our own scripts ideas, our own cast and our own idea of a universe make from the ground. Man, i'm even thinking to go to Cinema school to become a director or writer and make a Ben 10 movie in the future but if Warner wants to do it right in these years, just give them what Paramount give the Sonic Movies, people who care and love this franchise

Honestly I really want a Ben 10 live action adaptation. Even though I prefer Ben 10 in the world of animation (especially with animation being treated like crap by WB atm), I think the only way to do a live action Ben 10 movie is getting the right people that actually care about the world of Ben 10, unfortunately Ben 10 is relatively new compared to other ips, but getting a director that actually cares about Ben 10 would be awesome if they did a film live action or animated

They need to overhaul Ben’s design and the watch. Bright Green leather doesn’t look good, Instead do a Dark mint green bomber/Rugged/Wool jacket with a 10 patched on the side instead of the chest like a Dweeb. Guaranteed It makes Ben look 10x as Stylish and Cooler. Omnitrix should look like a Sleek High Tech watch that doesn’t stand out much but still looks Unique. (Remember those Horrible Plastic oministrix’s? Yeah. We want more James Bond Secrecy than THAT.) Also pick a Actor for Ben that doesn’t have ‘Skinny bitch’ written all over him with womanly forearms….Isn’t Ben a Athlete? Make sure he has some Lean muscle and a nice Cut. Not that 70’s yankee hair and don’t make Ben black or Kevin Chinese. Kevin should looks like a Smaller Colossus and Gwen’s Mana should be more like The Scarlet Witch’s rather than Green Lanterns although A Mixture of Both would be Awesome. You GOTTA revamp Ben’s wardrobe and make the characters look real Good In LA but still show-accurate if you wanna make it work. Also do what James Gunn is doing, Maybe do a 5 minute montage for the Origins but show Ben in the middle of Battle expertly using his Watch and his Team in creative ways with his Signature Goofiness. Like Spidey. There’s plenty of source material and unfinished storylines they didn’t finish. You could then do a Plumbers and Grandpa Max Prequel Spin off and build Vilgax up like Thanos. Do ghost freak for the second movie and release it on Halloween, Confirmed 1 Billion Dollar box office Hit. GODDAMNIT HOLLYWOOD ITS SO EASY TO MAKE SOMETHING SO *GREAT* YOU IDIOTS!
I got some ideas for The Aliens too. Just know That if The MCU can do it, So can a Well-Written Well-Directed and Well Thought out Ben 10 Movie.

You can’t have the 10 on the Jacket Chest, The Omnitrix should look Unique but shouldn’t stand out much. Make Kevin Look like Colossus but Smaller. Gwen’s Energy Projections should be more like Scarlet Witch’s rather than Green Lanterns. Or better yet, A mix of both.

Are people stupid? Did they forget about the first 11 years of the MCU? The Batman? Blue Beetle? Shazam 1? Live-action superhero movies have had a pretty good track record, and Ben 10 is a superhero show. I have no idea where people got the idea that live-action adaptations are always bad, or even bad a majority of the time.
Adaptations of comics are NOT the same as live action remakes or reboots of animated shows.

One is adapting the source material and either being faithful and doing something different or not being very faithful and doing new things. A shift from one huge entertainment medium to another. Live action adaptations of animated stuff just don't have any good reason to exist and literally add nothing to what is being adapted. To make it feel more serious and realistic?
That is something animation can do just fine. The only reason live action adaptations are done is purely just for money and cashing in off of the perception to many that animation can't be taken as seriously as live action. Even if a live action adaptation of an animated show or movie isn't made for money, there is no reason to make it live action! It literally contributes to nothing. It doesn't add anything special or unique like animation, if anything, it takes away things you can do in animation!

I'd also rather have the information from the video be summarized in a short way that cuts away much time saves me potential moments of anger and frustration. Plus, if the guy is saying these adaptations could work, then he clearly never considered what is the point of them and why they should exist.
