Great looking setup, thanks for the overview of your build. I'm in a 120 PDL, but looking to upgrade to either an Autopilot or going with something like the PWR 129. The AP's Minn Kota does seem to be a bit underpowered, especially in a 136. What do you think of the Xi3? Is spot lock as accurate as Minn Kota's? What kind of top speed are you seeing with the Xi3 on the PWR 129? I don't need a speed demon, but hoping to get 4 - 4.5 mph. Appreciate it - tight lines. -Cody
I do like the xi3 over the minn Kota but the boat control in the AP is much better in the wind. I don't think the xi3 spot lock is as accurate. That said, I prefer the nk300 on the back for speed and current
JT, on the delete plate. Did you use the screws that are in the kayak? Also, do you think any weather stripping is necessary (l believe Gene Jenson mentioned that in his video)? Thanks!
used the screws in the yak, didn't weather strip, don't really need
What's your top speed with Xi3 fully rigged out for fishing?
Don't know, I will have to look. But if I need speed, it will definitely have nk300 installed.
How did you mount your transducer
Three screws through the delete plate into the top of the spacer block, two screws from the transducer mount into the spacer block from the bottom.
How wide are your bunks set at for the pwr? center to center
