What are the torque figures you used for the bolts to tighten it all up and what brand fliter did you use, I have an 09 lancer ralliart sst

Pro tip: break the fill bolt loose first. Its possible to drain the gearbox and then realize the fill bolt is seized --- bad day lol

Nice vid bro. I’ve watched several of your videos recently and they are great for people who want to DIY.
A tip if you ever start racing your car... do a fog light delete. I have raced my MR hard consistently since buying it 5 years ago and it hasn’t overheated once since doing the delete.
I know this is unrelated to this vid and you keep the cooler clean, but airflow is the key.

I noticed that you didn't take off all of the drain ports on the bottom of the transmission. I recently drained mine and there was a very significant amount of fluid left after I drained the fluid from the lowest drain plug. I drained the rest through the second drain plug. Im very positive that there was a large amount of old fluid still left in the transmission that got mixed in with the new fluid. Maybe I didn't see it in the video when you did take off the other drain port but either way i'd suggest opening up every drain port on the transmission so that you get all of the old fluid out.

  • @kenly6858

So you mention with 3 drain plugs, its 7 litres of fluid. What about the 2 drain plug version of the sst? Assuming its the same as well or did it change?
