I've got three of these guys...Prince Lightstar, Aracula (I think that's his name) and Grimskull. I loved the animated series and these toys were kinda cool. My Lightstar must be some sort of variant or something because his sword is all one solid color. Great vid, Dan!
I had all the Skeletons except for Baron Dark and Dr Cyborn (the latter being "that" toy in the line that was seemingly rare) and Grimskull. Never saw those vehicles, although that Bone Dragon looks amazing. Being the kid that was always into villains and monsters, this toyline was practically catered to me.
Lol I remembered this from my childhood but I thought it was sequel/cartoon version of army of darkness....these should definitely come back like a Matty collectors thing...does playmates have something like that??
I had arachula and lost him in the sand at school shortly after getting it. Totally forgot about these until i saw an article in the new game informer about how neversoft started work on a game but the show ended before it was done.
Problem was the villians dominated the line. Heros were lame and they knew it as the marketing was focused on villians. My parents were against them bc of how evil they looked and i didnt want them bc how creepy the eyes made them look.....i was a child ok.
I kinda wonder if trying to be the next Masters of the Universe in the early 90s probably hurt it too. I mean, even He-Man himself couldn't make it in the 90s so could a toy line trying to be He-Man hope to do better?

P-D, Have you done reviews on Silverhawks, Chuck Norris, Karate Kid, Rambo, Pirates of Darkwater, Centurions, Zoids, Tigersharks or Exosquad? What about Airbenders, Super Powers or M.A.S.K? Probably you have done some of these, but a review of as many 80's-90's toy lines would be very cool to see. Some of the ones I mentioned stemmed from the 80's. I can't remember the Hasbro toy line where they had a knight motif that used holograms on their chests, but it was cool, too.
I loved this show and toy line as a kid! I've always had a weakness for cool skeleton characters, and this is just what my adolescent male mind craved. But I always wished the skeletons were the heroes. Ha ha! I still own my Baron Dark, Dagger, and Skeleton War Horse to this day! And believe it or not, but my parents had no problem buying these figures for me. Gotta love parents who understand their child's strange obsession with undead monsters! Haha Oh, and that reminds me, the War Horse does have one other point of articulation that you overlooked, its jaw can open and close. Thanks a ton for this video! Keep on rockin'!

I need help. As a kid I had an action figure I liked but I never knew what cartoon it was from. It was a red guy. Maybe a Knight or robot or idk, all red. And he had a flip head. The head would be like a knights helmet with 3 to 5 points/horns/spikes on the top or you could flip the head to a guy with red hair and I think he had a scar on his eye. The head flip thing was in the chest, you flipped the head into the chest and the new one would come out. Any Ideas what this toy was from?
I would love to have the second series, especially the Asian and Viking Skeleton Warrior. I had hopes when Octobertoys made some Skeleton figures for the line but their closed now.

In the good old times (80's and 90s), children used to be concerned about toys and adults used to be concerned about other things, like gadgets for example. Now things are twisted...nowadays everything is upside down. What the hell happened with society?
maybe if they try to retry them? it kinda happened to other cartoons too in the 80's the Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers should have continued but never did I was disappointed and even if this was for the boys I loved it anyway I am a girl who grew up watching the original G.I. Joe and Transformers, He-man before the She-ra line and so forth :)

Very disappointed when this series (figures and cartoon) ended. I never got into power rangers because I didn't have the channel it came on (I only had 3 channels) so I was into Skeleton Warriors and another one around that time I wonder if anyone else remembers.. Cadillacs and Dinosaurs.
Oh hell yeah I completely forgot about Cadillac's and dinosaurs I still have one of the comics So thank you for the memory I'm glad some people remember old classic cartoons like these I mean everybody remembers X-men He-man Batman tas and Spider-Man tas but not so many Memories or love for that matter of shows like these so keep calm and collect on

This line was re-released a few years ago. I was hoping this would catch on.
I just got all 5 of the evil skeletons in this line still in there blister cards from a comic shop here in my home town & for a great price!!

They really missed a trick when they didn't make the skeletons modular and recombinable (like MOTU Modulok).
