I wanted to get in depth in this review of the conference, so obviously it'll take more than one part (I don't do 40 minute vids sadly)
Also, I completely meant to edit out the part where I said the Grizz swept the Spurs, they beat them in 6, I haven no clue why I said sweep.
The emphasis there was supposed to be that an 8th seed beat a 1st seed smh

I disagree with the Mavericks, I feel like you undersold the Suns who I naturally saw them being a great threat against the Lakers since Game 5 was won by a tip in that gave the Lakers a huge momentum to Game 6. Plus they swept the Spurs who always bodied them past playoff series. Nothing weird seeing the Suns in the Western Conference Finals.
Just to imagine, this would've been such a competitive year in the Western Conference

Close, the 1996-97 season was the last time neither San Antonio or Golden State made it. So 23 years.
But a bunch of casuals told me Steph can't lead a team to the playoffs without multiple all stars even though he did it in 2013 when David Lee, their only all star, only played 10mpg due to injury and again in 2014 as the lone all star that year.

The jazz were seriously underrated throughout the 2010s, transitioned from Boozer and Deron Williams, to Hayward, Al Jefferson, and Paul Millsap, to Hayward and Gobert, to Gobert and Mitchell.

Michael Hawkins They were always a top 10 team though which is impressive. It’s not always about “being a threat”.
A lot of teams have a rebuilding process within a decade, the Jazz have not had that. I’m sure the fans are grateful for that.

I remember when the warriors first made the playoffs. Me and my uncle were so excited bc we finally had something to look forward to. Every year he’d say “dont worry we’re gonna get better next year” and we literally did, year after year. Watching the warriors grow from the ground up will always be my favorite sports memory..then we became the most hated DYNASTY. I loved it but its not over yet.

Legacy So the fact they went up 3-1 in the Finals without KD is your argument why they can’t be a contender without him? Especially since KD himself went up 3-1 that very year and lost to the Warriors.
I’m not saying they will be as good as they used to be but it wouldn’t surprise me for them to be a contender if their core trio and Coach Kerr are still in tact. Now, many of their role players and other pieces are missing so we’ll see how it plays out, but one year of injuries isn’t enough to take them out of contention just like that. If they stay together they’ll still be a threat for a while

Goddamn it, this would've been a really competitive western playoffs. Luka vs Kawhi, Lebron vs Ja, and last, but certainly the best matchup, battle of LA. Kawhi vs Lebron. And legit, several teams could've won a ring. Bucks, Lakers, Clippers all could've won it. Lets hope that the nba playoffs will resume
