    My favorite MJ moment is when he dunked on a 6'1 John Stockton and a fan yelled "pick on someone your own size!" So then MJ dunked on a 7 foot center and yelled back "is that big enough for you??"
    Gosh I love him and his psychotic skills. If only I was alive during his career and I could watch him live, his highlights can't compare to watching him live on TV or I can't imagine in person

    • @musicbox4022
      @musicbox4022 ปีที่แล้ว +48

      You’re absolutely right- It was surreal watching him live. Everyone in the world knew they were watching the GOAT… and he NEVER disappointed. Anytime there was a tight situation with the game on the line, the entire world just knew he would find a way to win. Whether you were routing for him or against, you knew he was going to win. It was strange because you knew you were watching something live, but you also already knew the outcome… like it was already known.

    • @musicbox4022
      @musicbox4022 ปีที่แล้ว +33

      Also- Jordan was so incredibly smooth and graceful, he had this magical way of making the whole thing look like a slow-motion highlight reel even in real-time speed. It was utterly surreal watching the fastest most athletic person in the world make everything look like slow motion.. incredible.

      I'm european, I was 13-14 when I was watching those Bulls games, I had school next day, but I was waiting for game to start at around 1:30 AM. I remember every time I wondered before the game started if Michael Jordan will again do something incredible and every game he did. Every game he did something that completely blew my mind. That 72-10 season was the best basketball I watched in my life. The bulls played like a well oiled machine, that was the most mistake free basketball I have seen up to this day. In that season I absolutely fell in love in basketball, ended playing it for 20 years on our towns court literally 8 hours a day for the most years lol, even was having shooting practices outside during snow, rain and on 40 degrees with sun torching me for hours. Then I came home I played some nba live or nba 2k and watched nba or euroleague. I had 4 years I never missed a shot for the win and for those 4 years I was given a ball to take a shot. Played alone vs 3 guys 4 times, won all 4. Had a perfect scoring game, where I scored all the points without missing a shot and we won with oponent having zero points (and I got 2 worst guys on the court and we played vs 3 of the best) and once I tried shooting around the court for 8-10 minutes with closed eyes from different positions and I hit around 90% of shots lol, but I was really feeling it that time :D . I was never naturally the most athletic gifted on that court or had the most natural talent. But watching those bulls and listening to Jordan, I wanted to copy his mindset. So I worked hard and more then anyone, I played sick, If I got knocked down I got up, I showed no weakness, I embraced the pain, I backed off no one and in each game I got with a mindset defeat is not an option and gave 100%. Never got anywhere close to him in 20 years, but thx to Michael's wisdom I had a wonderful life and through hard times in life, if not for him, Bulls and basketball, I don't think my mind would handle it with such an ease. Sports is a wonderful thing. Your body is in great shape but so is your mind. I'm still telling everyone if they're depressed, have low confidence or some sort of other type of emotional distress to go out, or just don't like their looks to do sports and push themselves to the limits. It's great for discipline of the mind. And If nothing else, they'll be too tired when they get home to torment themselves emotionally.

      Jordan is a coward. The 99 Spurs would have smoked his team, if they even got that far, which is doubtful since they had the worst record for a reason and basketball is a team sport, and I'm a Nets fan with no stake in this. His comeback with the Wizards only a few years later when he couldn't even get them to the playoffs in a garbage conference exposed him for all to see. Basketball is a team sport. That's why TEAMS like the 2004 Pistons, 2011 Mavericks, 2019 Raptors win. That "star-dominant" thing is only to sell jerseys and copies of basketball video games. Chemistry and fundamentals win, hero ball only looks good for Sportscenter highlights.

    So I took that Shirt. Months later I spend Nights watching Jordan. Almost didn’t pass important exams.
    But I was lucky to see every Playoff Game of the Bulls. Sadly I was to young to go alone to Barcelona to see him live. A chance I missed.

    I was born in 96 in Brazil and grew up knowing that Michael Jordan was the greatest basketball player of all time and cheering for the Bulls without ever watching a NBA game. That's how far his legacy went. I just finished watching this amazing documentary and a lot of times I found myself shouting out and jumping with decisives points that the Bulls made throughout his carrer, that's how well edited this series is. I don't watch NBA games, I just follow some of the results and yet I found this one of the best TV series ever. Michael Jordan is definitely one of the greatest athletes to ever live in this planet.
