It's proper annoying, mate. Being a delivery driver working all night, the city lights and this bloomin' haze get on my nerves. Not using your wipers with those little droplets? It's alright mostly, but those split-second moments, even up to 1, 2, 3 seconds, can be proper dodgy, could lead to a crash, even fatal, innit? I reckon it does the job on a right soaking day and in daylight, but...
Interesting video I had my windscreen coated in a rain repellency coating and it works an absolute treat especially at higher speed. Also makes it easier to clean and stays clean for longer 👍🤩
As a professional detailer. Put the Rain-X on first then wash your vehicle that way you get the glaze of the Rain-X off your windshield. You know only put the Rain-X on to the windshield you put on the back windshield outside mirrors driver side window and passenger drive side windows. Now there's another type of rain next for your body of your vehicle is called spray and wipe Rain-X. You can put this on your hubcaps you can put it anywhere that's not glass on your vehicle when you're done you rinse it off you could either wipe it dry or let it air dry either one when rain hits your vehicle it just beats off and not only that the wind can't grip your vehicle either!
I too found that after applying the Rain-X my windscreen would momentarily haze or mist up after the wiper blades activated during rain. The hydrophobic quality of the Rain-X is undeniable, but I found that momentary hazing effect a bit off-putting unfortunately. Good video by the way, you went to a lot of effort, thanks
Clean windshield first with glass cleaner. Make an applicator by folding about a fourth of a sheet of paper towel into a 2 inch square pad. You don’t want most of the rainex to be left on the applicator. Let it dry then wipe with a full sheet of paper towel wet with only water. This is to get the haze or streaks off.
From a professional car detailer here's what you can do first you put Rain-X water repellent onto everything that's glass the outside mirrors the windows sunroof windshield back windshield leave the glaze on wash your vehicle with Spot Free Shine car wash and Rain-X Wash the whole thing rinse it off then you take this other Rain-X product called Spray and wipe slight Turtle Wax you put it on spray it on wipe it to your whole entire vehicle plus you have gaps rinsed off you have the water being technology not only on your glass but on the body of your vehicle and get this when you're driving down the highway the wind won't be able to grip your vehicle.
@@The3289691 well after using it for a couple of month I've figured out it doesn't stop ecigs misting up your windows the stuff in e-liquid clings too the windows I'm having too clean them every month think I'll stop using smoking it in the car
Let me give you some advice on the Rain-X. I detail vehicles for living. You put the Rain-X on first then when there's a delays of course you wash your car after you put the Rain-X on. Rain-X you can use anything that's glass windshield back windshield driver side windows passenger side windows outside mirrors.
Thanks. I agree rain X helps repel water. However, I seem to think that rain X also seems to leave the windows dirtier when it is not raining, perhaps because dirt and dust stick more to the windshield. Do you have any thoughts on this?
Hi everyone, I've read this product is highly inflammable - does this problem vanish after a few hours or minutes after it has been applied to your windscreen? If not how come they are still allowing it to be sold, when it is a fire hazard? I mean somebody could throw a cigarette butt on the windscreen and this would set it on fire.
@@MDrives Thanks for explaining, I thought it must be safe - I never heard of a fire that was caused by it but thought I'd ask because nowadays, things are put out which can be dangerous but are still allowed, I'll let you imagine an example!
Don’t worry. It will still work but probably will start going off quicker and might not be as strong as water might still bond to contaminants on your glass. You can clean it in a few weeks and reapply.
Hi what effect, if any, does Rain-x have on the very fine wiper marks/haze on a windscreen? Does it temporarily improve them in the same way Autoglym SRP fills paint swirl mark? Many thanks.
First of all you need some Rain-X windshield wipers the flimsy ones. Then you need some Rain-X water repellent for your windshield back windshield outside mirrors sunroof driver side window and passenger side windows then you need to get this stuff it's called Rain-X Spot Free and strictly Shine car wash and then this other Rain-X stuff called Spray and wipe from Rain-X and spread all over your vehicle except for glass and on your hubcaps as well rinse it off then you'll see how your vehicle looks when everything beats off. It all depends on how much you detail your vehicle so if you were to do it once every 3 weeks still be perfect because right next only lasts for 3 to 6 weeks.
Ummm, rain x is permanent in the coating, but the slickness wears off within 3 weeks or less. BUT, the coating beads INSANELY well. I durability tested it, I used abrasives, chemicals like soap alcohol oil wd40. And it didn’t come off or wear off. ITS INSANELY DURABLE
When it's raining and you're using the wipers, that quick haze is constant because it doesn't have time to go away. Reduces visibility. Doesn't make sense.
hi have you tested at night in the rain . lastnight i couldnt see out due to the smears on the due to oncoming heading light :( really dangeous cant see
I did not experience that problem. The surface should be smother. It’s not possible it negatively impacted your side window movement. Just a coincidence I guess.
Been using Rain X for 2 weeks. Game changer for me. The slight haze doesn't bother me. So much better all round visibility
I’m using it since I discovered it.

Is there a way to remove the haze effect after using the wipers
the amount of effort into this video! nice, i thought i was watching a documentary on netflix

I agree. On motorways they are great.

Sold! I’m buying this stuff, I had an awful constant rainy drive back from Manchester to London on Sunday

Thank you for your comment. I’m just finishing a video on their ready mix product. It’s quite good and I think it doesn’t haze as much.
Dude it's so annoying. I don't even want to use rainx anymore because of it.
Beautiful car, great spec with contrasting black and red
Thanks

May as well wax your car. Use fallout remover, tar and glue plus clay bar. Super resin polish and extra gloss protection.
I'll be using this on the inside aswell to stop fogging in cold weather from body heat and breath
There is anti fog available from them as well.
@@MDrives I've used the one in the video on the outside and inside I'll see how it goes

Not something I observed to be honest.
Hi, nice video, but have a question because i want to use it on my car to, how long has to cure before wipe?
Thanks. Few minutes.

Hi. I’m sure the only form it might be flammable in will be as a fluid. It cures on your windscreen fast so something is evaporating in that process.

Have subscribed! 😎👌
We swear by Rain-X. Used it for years. Great stuff.
My back windscreen does not have a wiper and it’s hard to see when reversing do you think this would work? For me when reversing. Thanks for the video
It depends. The water will bead but should make it easier still.
Aww! i didn't clean my windshield before adding it on mine :(
Now i wish i would have after watching this

Was gonna get hydroV , may as well save £20 and get this!
Thanks. Really good video.
Thank you
The quick haze from each wipe of the blades is so annoying. Why is it there!?
No idea. To me that is the only downside of the water repellants.
When it's raining and you're using the wipers, that quick haze is constant because it doesn't have time to go away. Reduces visibility. Doesn't make sense.

How long ago have you applied it?
So awesome!
Great to apply on reverse camera
Never thought about that! Great idea
Thanks
Would this work too for shower screen?
I never tried it but I can’t see why not.
Problem is after using this my wiper squeak and a lot harder for side window to close down as the surface become rough
I did not experience that problem. The surface should be smother. It’s not possible it negatively impacted your side window movement. Just a coincidence I guess.
Thanks but music is too loud
I’ve shared your video to my Facebook page let’s get you to a 1000 subscribers by the summer 🤞
Thank you. I appreciate your help.
How long does repellant effect last?
On a windscreen about 8-10 weeks. Have a look at my other video with an update after 1,5 year

Tak. Pozdrawiam
Same results as just waxing the glass. Imo I'll save my money and pass on the rain x. Get good wiper blades.
Yes but waxing glass won’t last as long as Rainx. Wax also isn’t as hydrophobic. I used to do that before I discovered it.
That why people design wiper for car;)don't say thank you
😂
