Doing a super clean of the interior windows regularly from the off gases can “help” with the fog, to a certain degree. Glad to see the rain x de fog works.

You're the next Sham Wow guy! You have to come up with your own product to compete against Rain X.

Great video, thanks for the Anti-Fog comparo. I showed it to my 90 year old M.D. friend (who still drives) and he is heading to O'Reilly's to pick some up.
One thing that you didn't mention for AF: it doesn't work on tinted windows (the aftermarket film tint).
As for Rain-X Exterior you are spot-on for the application process. When I remove the haze (which essentially is wax) I like to lightly spray the coated area with water and then use a microfiber towel.
One last point: to make your Rain-X exterior application last the longest only use Rain-X washer fluid. The other brands have too much detergent which "cleans" off the Rain-X that you just applied yesterday.

Rain X window cleaner works well too. We recently drove through snow and rain after applying the original Rain X actually made a huge difference. Thanks!

That was a great video, I enjoy watching simple fun like this. I use shaving cream as an anti-fog occasionally in the car. I also use it on the bathroom mirror so I can see my face when I shave after jumping out of the hot steamy water. That coating wipes away too so it has to be re-applied after cleaning the mirror.

I've always heard that Rain X never works but you've proven differently. But would this work if you use silicon wipers. Plus could Rain X be used on the back window as well. All my windows inside my Camry seem to fog up. I would like to see if the defogger would work on all the windows inside the Camry. Thanks much for your video.

I prefer aquapel or ombrello over rainx, stays longer. The downside of a repellent product is the cold or rainy morning, your wipers leave a small mist film on the outside when the window is cold. But i prefer the coating though. Its on every car i drive!

What I do with Rain-X is turn the defrost on high during cooler weather. it will flash off quickly. You can also use a damp rag to remove the haze. I have used Rain-X for a very long time its great stuff. At around 35 mph it goes up the windshield no wipers needed.

I admire your tenacity Jimmy. But your water bucket splash, while visually interesting, is a poor analog for rain, even in TN. Fine spray from a hose nozzle would give you a more accurate picture. I'm surprised you tried the banana and not a raw potato or bar of soap. The rain-ex anti fog will look just like the dish soap and alcohol one in about a week. In Tennessee, window fog is a bigger problem than Cali so I get why you got into this. The best anti-fog for the inside is to just keep it clean.
Hope that's a good steamer you used, I just ordered the same one from Amazon yesterday.

A clay bar doesn't clean grease or chemical from the glass, It's designed to remove particles, like metal, dirt, paint overspray, etc.
And dumping a bucket of water doesn't duplicate the effect of rain on glass.

I have a couple ring battery cameras I live in Florida when the temperature drops and humidity rises the lens will fog that's just how it is battery cameras don't produce any heat so this will happen this is how I fixed it.... Dawn dish soap on the lens let it completely dry then buff till it's clear then no more fogging it works trust me.

I used Rainx , in the UK , when I was working 40ish miles away from home , driving at a nominal 70mph on the M4 motorway , on the inside and outside of my car's screen , in all weathers , in all the hours of the day and night , as I was working shifts . For more than a fortnight after applying Rainx I noticed that I did not have to use the wipers until there was a lot of rain , the water just got pushed off by gravity and wind when there was light rain . I would reapply the product when I noticed my wipers seemed to be slightly less efficient , but it was a gradual reduction and there was a residual benefit for ages if I was lazy in getting round to repeat applying !
The interior Rainx I found not so effective in my car , but then again I used to smoke , horror horror , in the car and that smoke can be seen as a yellow/brown residue on a cleaning rag . A dirty screen , inside I mean , will gather moisture I suppose , so cleaning is needed more regularly than expected . I still would recommend the interior rainx . I would use the interior rainx on the inside of my motorbike visor to great effect as well , products like this should be pointed out for safety reasons when using visors .
Never had luck with vegetables or fruits ; would they count as part of your five a day diet ! Lol

RainX deteriorates quickly. Noticably less good afterva week. Hot sun really cooks it.

Not worth buying or using the Anti-Fog as the inside glass as it's so misty after wiping if off ! Even after removing/wiping it off properly the have there will be & is some left....looks so dirty! You need a good coat of it & not use/put too little on the inside. I'm a car cleaner by trade & i would avoid the Anti-Fog. The other Rain-X for the outside is brilliant! Been using it for many years.
