There are so many islands around Florida that you could boat in and stay for a really long time and feel like you have your own island. I looked at the 75 and it is massive like a mansion on the water.
@@Navy1977 The specs don't mention an Air Draft but, it does mention a ceiling height of 7.5 feet. At 5:52 it looks like they have at least 2 feet of freeboard and if the upper deck has the same ceiling height then I think it might push the total air draft over 16 feet. If it wasn't for the questionable air draft then I think that this "boat" is a good protentional candidate for the Great Loop.
@@Jack-yl7cc I was figuring about the same air draft, which brings it under the 19'6" absolute limit. Of course, even then, some of the waterway options would not be available.
@@Navy1977 looks to tall to do the great loop. Seven foot ceilings, so that’s most likely makes it 18 feet plus.. it’s going to be close. There’s a 19’1” bridge south of Chicago.
This is a pretty awesome concept. It's like a Pontoon boat on steroids. The whole pillar concept is mind blowing. On top of that, how cool that the decks fold down.
This is a brilliant idea. I think they would make a great vacation cabin/ house boat. Also seeing you guys actually using one over a weekend would give the rest of us an idea of how they really work. Stay safe.
Great job, as always. Thanks for continuing to bring us great content. It looked like a wonderful filming day. Hope you had a chance to enjoy it. Thanks for sharing.
The lack of galley prep and storage area is strange for a boat with so much size, but a commercial stainless steel prep table would fit in nicely. I think they wanted an open plan allowing people to use it however they choose.
What an interesting idea. I like the setup as is. I’d just use the bedroom near the bow as a den with tv and sleeper sofa. 😉😄 Just trying to image it here up north. 🇨🇦3 Season. 🤔 The autumn scenery would look awesome with all that glass!
Yes to the staycation! Do it! I love this new concept. We live in an area of many floating homes of wood and they become aged and weathered very quickly. Maintenance is non-stop. On the other hand, this floating home can go almost anywhere, level itself and is fully self-contained and has more solar generation than you can use. Brilliant!
As a solar powered RVer I will say I'm impressed with the use of-Bi-Facial panels (that's the term) for this installation. They are marginally more effective without a VERY light colored under surface (and clearance) which this top deck provides. Well done.
I have had my eye on this company since they first started with their 75' Luxury $5.5 million version of this concept, it is great that they have come up with this new more affordable platform. They have done a good job covering all the bases of what most people would want in a condo on the water that is mobile and having this innovative option for stability in shallow sandy bottom waters, including those foldout Deck extensions, takes it to another level. I am also a SeaSteading Enthusiast; So, I see this platform as having potential for being deployed out on the Open Ocean where calm waters prevail and possibly modifying it to support deeper water stability while turning the upper Deck into a Greenhouse. Thanks for the great video, I would love to see you guys do a Staycation video, I'll be watching!
What about taking it down to the Bahamas. And I jumped the gun before seeing the top. Freezer room close it in for a bigger area is right and maybe a helm chair. I really need to win the lottery up here😊😊
It’s a great alternative to a yacht, I liked the video so much I showed my wife lol! Definitely something we could probably do, but of course the price might be an issue :) If this was our primary home, then def doable! Great video guys, keep thinking outside the box :)
I love this! Like really really really love this. The top should have some sort of way to enclose the area. I’m not sure about having a hot tub. I prefer the open space. I’m wondering how nicely this drives. I think you guys should have a staycation and let us know how practical this is. Thanks for showcasing this
Nice concept for a home on the water. Love the fold down side decks. Also something to note on their website they talk about this being categorized as a yacht so no property taxes, a tax free home to live on. I would suggest folding solar panels on the roof sides to extend the shade and protect from rain.
Rico and Victoria, on the fly bridge, I would add an island opposite the grill and put in a dishwasher, two-drawer refrigerator, and a cooktop wilh the range underneath. I would then spin the chairs around to the side and add a small al fresco dining area for 6 or 8.
A novel concept for sure with living on the water! All that’s needed is safety staples around the walkways and some green potted plants! ‘ Let the games begin’ 🚢👌😁🤗
Endless options for disaster movies and monsters vs cheerleaders in that boat. Have parts of the pillars collaps and the Great White/Seal mutation slowly creep up from the water. Have a storm coming and the stilts locked with the hero desperatly working under water to free them. Or post apocalypse one standing on dry land an V'toria and R'co wondering why the ancestors put a boat on stilts in the middle of the dessert ;)

Both of you do an outstanding job of showing and describing every portion of a vessel on your TH-cam Channel. There's no doubt that you both are amazing brokers, if only I had the money...
This design is brilliant! It would be even better with side panels on the upper deck equipped with solar panels on the exterior. These panels could be designed to either fully enclose the top deck or rotate outward 90 degrees using hydraulics, positioning the solar panels from a vertical stance to a horizontal one. This setup would not only maximize solar energy capture but also provide shade along the sides of the vessel below when the panels are extended. It would add both functionality and comfort - a fantastic addition for anyone looking to live sustainably and enjoy some extra shade in paradise!
This is a clever and wonderfully done boat. I really like the various things that the large solar battery electric system brings to this yacht. There are three things I'd want to add. A seat at the helm. An elevator. And to weatherproof the second level, using glass or acrylic panels that elevate to open, like the way most garage doors open and close.
You are finding solutions to opportunities we did not even know we could think about. Having a carbon free footprint will become invaluable as we move forward.
I LOVE this idea. In the marina where I lived in Key West, there was an area for 'floating homes' but they were all just small houses, slapped on top of pontoons, as almost an afterthought. This would be a super comfortable liveaboard with the ability to go out in decent weather for a nice dinner cruise with friends. It would also be really maneuverable, with the 180° prop and bow thrusters. It would be easy to get in and out of almost any marina. Brilliant! Just imagine this lit up on a beautiful night in the shallows around the Keys, a quarter mile off shore, some island music playing, drinks flowing, a dozen people laughing and talking into the early morning hours. Some underwater lights would be a must! I may start saving my money. PS, I would love to see a 'staycation' video!
A small Headhunter sewage treatment setup and a water maker. Then all you need is dingy rides for food, alcohol, and cans of diesel. Go park in the Keys.
I was just about to ask about an enclosure for the top deck, and then you answered my question. Just putting in a track system and a soft enclosure would be enough to stop the weather
Back in the late sixties , my father sent me on a trip to Fort Lauderdale. Turns out dad's friend had a friend who was my friend. So of course, a friend of a friend, is a friend. In any event, he invited me to stay the night at his house. since I was returning back to Vegas the next day. What a gorgeous houseboat he had. It was 3 stories, the main deck was salon, with the dining area, galley, The second deck included 2 guest cabins with en suites. In the upper deck was the master bedroom. It was just beautiful. But it had to be towed when changing berths. The ultimate bachelor's pad.
Rico and Vctoria, I do see one thing that I would add, I would put a glass safety rail around the staircase opening on the fly bridge. And also, possibly make that hatch electric.
That, is pure genius. What a clever design and a multi-use one at that. Someone deserves a design award for this concept, seriously. The current layout is great for a houseboat, go back to a single bedroom for an "apartment on the water" style of usage and you have a huge amount of space for a single-bedroom apartment. There is even room to keep an electric bike or a trail bike on the stern. Yes you can get electric, tensioned roll-down blinds made of varying densities of shade cloth most of which are also rain-resistant. The same system can be had with clears instead of shade cloth so maybe clears forward of the wet bar, shade cloth aft. That roof is going to radiate a fair amount of heat in a warm climate so if I were enclosing it with either side cloth or clears I'd also air-condition the space. These would be perfect here in SE Queensland, you guys have been here and been on Moreton Bay, that entire huge protected bay has an average depth of 8 feet so one of these would be able to jack herself up in 1000s of locations. I want one now and if I got one I'd be getting the local sales agency along with it!
Very nice wardrobe selection for this house boat showing . This Boat would be perfect for Lake Mead. There would be no need to stay at the dock moring. I ❤ it.
Great concept for the right location , but what if your mooring location is mud or silt ? What stops the stilts from continually deeper into the mud/silt , just saying

Wow. I love the concept. Take the family and or friends out for a few days in the keys. The views from those windows, depending on where you anchor (or drop stilts), could be free million dollar views. Thanks guys for showing us this.
Love this option. Now the really tough job, finding a place to tie it up with power in Miami, on a semi-permanent basis. (I would also expand the 2nd bedroom adding in more closet space, make the 1st bedroom and galley area open plan as you suggested with an island and a study as well as some sort of all-weather blind system on 1/2 of the roof deck. South Florida really needs a houseboat marina/ community area.)

Watching Victoria fight with the drawer I was like "go home gurl you drunk" LOL 😆😆
🙈 I hardly ever drink lol
Given how many drawers and cupboards you have opened and closed, during your tours, it was certainly a light hearted moment when that cutlery drawer decided to challenge you.😂 great tour as always. Forget the hot tub, just a huge dining table.😊

Victoria, I think that would be a great idea because that will give you a chance to practice more on how to close the drawer in the kitchen or galley whatever you wanna call it
🤣🤪🙏🏻
