So nice to see a yacht that is truly personal, and designed to live on. It's in the nature of private yachts that we never get to see them, until such time they come for sale, and by then they've often been refit for charter (and all look the same). Seems everybody made it on to Maverick, this is now my 3rd tour of her LOL, but I'm not complaining, she's worth watching.
This really is a beautiful boat. (I'm not familiar with "Arrow") Have you ever seen "Kensho"? (75 meter yacht built by Admiral in Italy and launched in 2022) It's gorgeous.
Super yachts don't normally do it for me but this one is just a different level of cool. Very stylish but in a much more casual and relaxed way. Loved everything about it and I'm pretty jealous of the fun the family will have travelling the world on board. Fantastic.

I've seen other Channels show this boat but when you do a walkthrough you somehow make it look like a completely different boat. Love the boat, love the channel.
Pure class and usability. FINALLY, a yacht that was crafted to be used and lived on and not just to be seen on. The fact that the family is on a 7 year excursion around the world, simply tickles me.
A truly impressive yacht, the best I've seen! Everyone involved in designing and decorating it, including the family, should be extremely proud of what they have achieved. It is great to see a yacht that is made for living onboard and not just occasional holidays and entertaining. I wish the family well on their voyage, bon voyage.
I am genuinely impressed with this ship. As always you guys do an amazing job of touring the boat - but most importantly, explaining so much along the way - about the ship, about the industry, and about stuff that us mortals may not know or think about. As for the ship - this is such an amazing balance between upscale luxury with practicality. It looks and I'm willing to be would feel in person, amazing, but it's not stuffy. It's chic and well designed and yet feels homely. It has exactly what the owners want but also what the crew would need to make living and working onboard for seven years actually work. Kudos to the owners for designing something so impressive!
What a beautiful design both architecturally and interior! It all makes so much sense. I always enjoy your Vlogs Jack. You present very well, you are obviously knowledgeable. I think that I could enjoy myself on a boat like this. It sounds like the family who owns this are very "down to earth". Which is awesome.
I see the rationale about her use. Having been an avid viewer for years and having therefore seen my fair share of SY's. This one immediately stood out to, along with speaking to, me about its beauty in both form & function. Outside looking in aside. I genuinely hope that this family's 7 year adventure brings all the joy and unique experiences they are aiming for. The yard and the design team deserve recognition for what they've created.
Wow, beautiful. This is the first YB video I have seen and it is good. I found the owners and guests being able to be self sufficient quite refreshing.
All i say is wow. Amazing vessel. This family is going to have the ability to make so many lifelong memories upon their journeys. Tastefully done, but not pretentious. Spacious yet cozy and inviting. Pretty tough things to do all at the same time but they've nailed it.
She has packed more into that hull size than we managed on a 65m. Ok, we had a 10,000 mile range and a recompression chamber in the dive-room. Bloody lovely boat.
Love it, nothing pretentious, all super homey, functional, and modern at the same time! Definitely the benchmark for a full-time live-in explorer yacht.
Was pretty fast through the living room, but from what I saw, this has to be the first time I have seen a yacht with an actual serious sound system. Floor standing speakers, and from what I can see, judging from the look of the ceiling, a huge TV folds down. Nice home theatre in other words. This boat has everything you need. Gym, home theatre, serious kitchen, pool, incredible relaxation zones etc etc. Brilliant.
Love an explorer MY. Maverick would be my ultimate boat it ticks every box. What an amazing experience the owners are going to have, not to mention the crew. I’m very fortunate to get on board yachts like this but something about Maverick really struck a chord with me. Something, if money allowed, I’d dream to do with my family - Jack
Sometime Jack you get that ship that will stop you snd the viewers in their tracks. Maverick certainly does that. An exploration yacht capable of dealing with any types of sea. A boat to look after a family and crew, that is safe, comfortable, a family home from home. Would love to see her walk her exterior and interior, she quality exceptional quality. Thanks Jack.
I think that when you have a "live on" yacht, it is o needs to be very practical, not just full of arty objects that have no use just visual pleasure. Love this yacht with all the little self service kitchenettes.
She is a dream yacht. If I had that kind of money, I wouldn't hesitate for a split second in buying one. The 7 year world cruise planned, I would love that. My only gripe and this is just me personally. I much prefer the owner cabin on the main deck. Then above the sky lounge come home cinema. I've said if I was to live like this the crew would be friends. I wouldn't want them running around unseen. They would be lounging around with me, having fun. Great tour Jack, thanks for taking us on a tour of her. Now just need those lottery numbers to come up
I've always thought the same about crew. I can't imagine living in that kind of close proximity with people who weren't my friends. I usually end up making friends even with people I hire part time to do household jobs who *aren't* live-in. So if I'm going to hire staff for a yacht -- and I might end up doing that one day; my husband and I have talked about maybe selling our house and going liveaboard on a catamaran in a few years, with a couple of crew to help us handle the serious ocean sailing we'd want to do -- then I will definitely need to be careful to hire people who won't feel like strangers.
I always thought the same with staff and crew in general, but once you have hired people around you, you need to make sure they're not getting too comfortable. You pay a high dollar for their service and you don't want to pay them hundreds each day to chill out with your cocktails and enjoy the lavish millionaires lifestyle. People tend to loose interest in the actual work. Nothing against a friendly atmosphere, but work is work and fun is fun.
@@AndyNC I guess so, but the truth is that I am not interested in "enjoying the lavish millionaire lifestyle" either. I don't hire people to give me a lifestyle better than theirs; I hire people to make it possible for me to experience things that I can't experience otherwise -- either because I don't have the requisite knowledge or because my chronic illness limits my strength. So I'm happy to have my helpers live the same way I live, except that they are providing the effort that makes it possible for us to jointly live that way while I'm providing the money that makes it possible. Honest people who take pride in their work -- and I'm pretty good at finding them -- understand this, and are not going to slack off just because I treat them as partners in this enterprise rather than as beneath me! If I treat them well, I've found that they are likely to work faithfully... both because they like and appreciate me, and because they want to keep the job. Bottom line: I have never had to create artificial differences in lifestyle between myself and the people I hire, in order for them to give me their best work. If I really wanted to live in a lavish style that involved being waited on hand and foot perhaps I would need to... but that's not the way I choose to live now, and I doubt very much that I'll choose to live that way once I'm doing it on a boat either.
It’s not every day a superyacht evokes the kind of transformative thinking that shifts the very definition of ocean travel-yet the CdM Flexplorer 146 Maverick does precisely that. Far more than another lavish vessel in the megayacht pantheon, it represents a deep fusion of engineering ingenuity, architectural flair, and expedition-ready robustness, delivering a near-seamless union of comfort and frontier exploration. Here’s what makes the Maverick a potentially iconic leap forward in the world of liveaboard superyachts: 1. A Design That Melds Rugged Adventure with Urban Elegance Sculpted Exterior Aesthetics: The Maverick’s silhouette, imbued with the hallmarks of an explorer yacht, nonetheless reveals sleek modern lines. This fusion of explorer hull design and superyacht detailing means it’s just as at home navigating remote polar waters as it is moored in Monaco’s Port Hercules. Intelligent Deck Configuration: A distinctive fold-down bulwark in the aft deck maximizes usable space-perfect for storing toys, tenders, or setting up a sophisticated al fresco lounge. By prioritizing unobstructed views and modular deck utilities, the Maverick morphs from expedition hub to social hotspot in moments. Deep Insight: Expedition vessels often compromise luxury for practicality. The Maverick proves this trade-off is no longer necessary, thanks to cunningly integrated engineering that ensures high seakeeping while preserving the aesthetic beauty expected of a superyacht. 2. Next-Generation Interior Architecture Bold Spatial Flow: Step inside, and you enter a realm where form meets function in gracious harmony. From the saloon’s open-plan layout to the galley’s carefully orchestrated workspace, every inch is engineered to maximize both sociability and privacy. Private Sanctuaries: The owner’s stateroom and VIP cabins embody the pinnacle of modern yacht design, prioritizing expansive views, strategic lighting, and uncluttered comfort. Bespoke furnishings and refined finishes amplify the sense of exclusivity, ensuring the boundaries between a ‘home on the water’ and a five-star hotel blur. God-Level Insight: Livability is a defining factor for the next wave of superyachts, and the Maverick’s interior design underscores the trend toward “wellness afloat.” The cabin flow fosters connection while offering retreat-ready spaces-essential for those who intend to spend extended periods exploring the world’s waters. 3. Technological Marvel Meets Ecological Consciousness Advanced Stabilization & Systems: An explorer yacht must endure unpredictable seas. Maverick’s advanced stabilization ensures minimal roll and maximum passenger comfort in even the toughest conditions. The integration of cutting-edge propulsion and navigational tech extends both range and reliability. Sustainable Materials & Energy Efficiency: Attention to eco-friendly innovation is evident in hull design optimizations that reduce drag, alongside onboard systems calibrated to decrease fuel consumption. Solar or hybrid solutions (if implemented) could represent the next frontier for superyacht sustainability, aligning sumptuous living with environmental stewardship. Deep Insight: In an era where high-end travelers demand more responsible luxury, blending robust performance with green engineering is no longer a novelty but a necessity. Maverick’s design sets the precedent that world exploration can harmonize with mindful resource usage. 4. A Seamless Journey from Bridge to Beach Club Command Center Excellence: The bridge deck reveals that the Maverick’s capability isn’t mere advertising-cutting-edge instrumentation and sophisticated design make extended voyages safer and easier to manage. The synergy of advanced electronics and ergonomics means even an epic ocean crossing feels well within reach. Elevated Entertainment & Relaxation: The well-appointed beach club, complete with lounge seating and direct water access, transforms the vessel’s aft into a social epicenter. Meanwhile, the crow’s nest vantage provides panoramic perspective-ideal for nature spotting or simply basking in the horizon’s expanse. God-Level Insight: Flexibility is everything. One moment, you’re conducting a rugged passage across the Atlantic; the next, you’re hosting a lavish sunset gathering on the beach club deck. That adaptability embodies the modern superyacht ethos: it must handle far-flung expeditions yet pivot seamlessly to high-society entertainment. 5. The Liveaboard Revolution Ultimate Self-Sufficiency: True explorers measure comfort not in ephemeral luxuries but in long-haul sustainability. With extended fuel capacity, robust supply storage, and superior engineering redundancy, the Maverick invites owners to push boundaries-spending weeks or months at sea without sacrificing the pleasures of a high-end lifestyle. Setting a New Industry Standard: The Maverick’s philosophy-comfort meets exploration-signals a shift in yachting culture. Rather than fleeting hops between glamorous marinas, owners and guests can embark on immersive journeys to less-traveled corners of the globe, forging deeper connections with the oceans themselves. God-Level Insight: The Maverick encapsulates a deeper cultural shift: superyachters now crave authentic experiences that transcend glitz, yearning for an immersive relationship with the planet’s remote beauty. Explorer yachts that merge best-in-class luxury with practical autonomy reflect a broader evolution in travel aspirations-one anchored in discovery, sustainability, and profound comfort. Conclusion The CdM Flexplorer 146 Maverick stands at the vanguard of a new yachting age-an age where travelers demand robust, globe-spanning capability without surrendering the lavish ambiance that defines superyachting. Through keenly orchestrated architecture, cutting-edge technology, and a conscientious nod to ecological responsibility, the Maverick positions itself as a standard-bearer for the next chapter in maritime luxury. In short, the Maverick isn’t just a yacht; it’s a lifestyle manifesto-proving that adventure and opulence can harmonize on the high seas, nudging the entire industry toward an era where comfort, conscience, and conquest of the world’s waters unite in one masterful vessel.
Did anyone else immediately think about the BG72 or 54 when they saw this gorgeous thing? I don’t think Jack reviewed either, but he did do the 70’ cat & 42. 👍
What has kept me from buying things like this is the upkeep and crew/staff costs. I bought a smaller home and property because of the long-term maintenance costs and increasing labor costs. If I feel like enjoying something like this, I'll just rent the experience or go small for the long term. I have family that have had vessels like this, and they've never kept them for very long. I would rent something like this for a season, sure.
Sensational review given the size of the yacht and the time you had. I’m a big fan of owner operated yachts but I loved this: Explorer yachts push my buttons! Not visiting 🇦🇺 & Pacific?
If i won the billion dollar power ball this is what i would do with it. What a way to see the world! Maybe a billion wouldn't be enough? How much does something like this cost?
It would be interesting to see how the crew is managed for these long, round the world trips. How long do they spend on board ? Are they couples ? and so on. It could make a nice follow up video.
From the (albeit brief) conversations I had with some of the crew during the shoot, they seemed very excited and thrilled to be on a yacht that was going to take them places. It’s clearly a pretty unique assignment but incredibly rewarding for the right person - Jack
One thing about super rich people I've learned is that they're incredibly unlikely to actually do the 7 year trip before they get bored and move on to something else. Best case, family members will be in and out of the boat regularly, flying in to meet it for a few weeks a few times a year and then jetting off to hang out with the other rich kids, do work, whatever. Maybe that's the idea - easy enough to land a heli on the back of this thing.

In short, the Maverick isn’t just a yacht; it’s a lifestyle manifesto-proving that adventure and opulence can harmonize on the high seas, nudging the entire industry toward an era where comfort, conscience, and conquest of the world’s waters unite in one masterful vessel.
Great and fluid tour of a great thought out super yatch, thanks.
Looking trim Jack. Good work.
Thanks! 🙏
First boat I've seen that is well balanced
Agreed, it does a lot very well - J
Jeez it would be good to have money. This boat is absolutely awesome 👍
One of the few ships that is actually tasteful.
Awesome explorer yacht!
that is a stunning Yacht. Built for purpose.
That aft deck is unreal, I was slack jawed.
Yes, A LOT of fun to be had there… - Jack
@@Yachtbuyer Excellent production by the way.
Thank you 🙏
She is a thing of beauty!
Did anyone else immediately think about the BG72 or 54 when they saw this gorgeous thing? I don’t think Jack reviewed either, but he did do the 70’ cat & 42. 👍
Wonderful design. Wonderful boat.
sooo....I guess I could afford one of the tenders. this boat is insane!
Wonderful video and yacht..!!
Some lucky guy, huh? Has a kickass yacht and lovely family to travel with…
The design reminds me of the oil rig supply vessels in the North Sea. That long aft deck and high front
A young couple bought this? Crazy!
A very intelligent comment that will likely go underappreciated in the comments section
And everyone’s different. Just because it’s not for you, it’s obviously for others. No one cares that you wouldn’t want to own one 🙄
Awesome ship✨🌊
Sensational review given the size of the yacht and the time you had. I’m a big fan of owner operated yachts but I loved this: Explorer yachts push my buttons! Not visiting 🇦🇺 & Pacific?
Glad you enjoyed it!
Amazing! Love it
The perfect yacht
Love to see how these handle in rough seas.
My dream boat, this one have it all :)
Awesome ! So well thought out ! Cheers !
Amazing 🤩 I love It
Yes please!.
This boat is badass!
If i won the billion dollar power ball this is what i would do with it. What a way to see the world! Maybe a billion wouldn't be enough? How much does something like this cost?
Approx. €30,000,000, so you’d have some change for snacks 😉
Has been my dream. And will be for another 4 years, then I age out.
stunning
Very nice Yacht indeed. Oh to have that much money to firstly, buy the yacht, but also to cruise around the world for 7 years with crew.
clearly a very cool family that owns this
Agreed. Great vision - Jack
1:40 Why is there a jeep in the water?
Good question 👍
Wow... Stunning.
Epic boat. Super yachts aren’t as appealing to me as smaller more attainable ones. This one is beautiful.
1:34 That Jeep.
Mark Lewis must be really making bank from TH-cam to be able to get this yacht in addition to his Top Gun bike. Beautiful yacht!
Ha! Big fan of his channel so funny you should mention him - Jack
Ok, but I also want an in depth review of that floating jeep (or bronco?) in the water behind you at 1:20 lol
I gotta know who this owner is! it seems like they really have a lot of fun with their kids!
The idea of going on a two month cruise on my personalized super yacht with my family is an insanely cool idea. 16:18 7 years is f*cking nuts.
Maybe that's the idea - easy enough to land a heli on the back of this thing.
ye, i got mine on back order. They're still adding the helopad and the vineyard on the top deck
This is THE life away from the world's turmoil! Truely a prefect lifestyle. Q: cost per year to function?
