Sounds great. Nice gains over the kjet system.
Still think the best bang for buck mod on a 16v is a 2L block. They breathe relatively well as standard hence why a KR never really feels like it’s pulling hard until gas speed is well up- 4.5k+.
With a flowed head & twin KR exhaust cams along with a k&n & decent exhaust my old Jetta was 165hp & over 140lbs/ft torque with a 9A block.
Standard looks & sound but plenty more go.
K-jet might be old hat but easily tweakable & still capable of higher outputs…
Think this will be the next mod on my Polo Mk2. Love the sound 👍

Ostras que fila de carburadores guuuauu,🤤🤤✊🏎🚀 de membranas. Gracias por compartir experiencia. 🤙🏼
What jet size should be sufficient for. 1.6 Honda Civic SOHC motor compression is raised to 10.2:1
What mains size do you have on this
Mine it can go to 200km/h with its original carb i bought it like that but I head the fox Trippa are very fast
Cool video! Did you guys stick to de 140 main jet? Or did it needed to be jet up?
From memory 140 was the correct jetting for this application.
Can this be re-tuned for more power lower down and also better MPG?
Not without changing out cams and using EFI - carbs are always a compromise, though bike carbs much less so than other alternatives.
Can bike carbs be put onto the 2.0 20v ALT engine
Yes they can, we offer manifolds and can also put you a kit together: www.danstengineering.co.uk
I'm looking to put a set of cbr600 carbs on my mk1 1983 gti rabbit. I'd like to buy the intake and boots and what ever els I need from you. Do you ship to canada?
Yes we do, shipping should be offered at the checkout but if you have any problems drop us a message.
@@DanstengineeringCoUk I'll call you on monday. Thanks
If I was to trailer my mk1 to you guys would you be able to finish off my conversation and rolling road it etc for me
Apologies for not responding sooner. Yes I am sure we can help if you still need it. Drop us a message.
Honestly just looking to increase reliability with my 86 westy GTI, the KJET has been unreliable the entirety of my ownership of ten years of so. For the cost of $1200 or so would love to do this if it is something you think a normal backyard mechanic could accomplish..
Yes absolutely, the process is pretty straight forward with our starter pack plus supplement pack (using an efi to carb regulator on your standard pump rather than swapping the pump out).
@@DanstengineeringCoUk for throttle linkage, I saw some people coming up with some crazy things on the MK2 that I think would be out of my skill set. Do you have any suggestions in regards to that as far as what you have seen your customers do?
is it still 1.8L? and does it still have the stock cams? KR or PL engine
Yes to both 👍
Besides your intake and carbs. What other modifications are done to the engine?
Standard engine.
