    I'm a Feral main and this video is very helpful for beginners but you are missing out on some fundamentals. 1> Ferocious Bite does more damage when having more energy. This also goes for Restoration Druids and is absolutely crucial knowledge which even intermediate Feral players can get wrong. The rule of thumb is: only try to Bite at 40-50 energy otherwise it hits like a wet noodle. 2> 10:02 The damage itself does NOT increase per combo point. Your wording is open for interpretation but what's important to know here is that the ticking damage of a 1CP Rip vs 5CP Rip is the same, it's just that obviously the 5CP stays on longer and overall does more damage. Other than that, great video. Thanks.

    Great video! One thing I noticed when looking at the top resto druids on warcraft logs is that a lot of them have only been taking Rip + Rake in the cat side of the tree. From my own experimentation, I've found that tab-targeting and spamming rake does way more damage than spamming swipe with one rake up. Thrash does outperform in high AOE, but you can only apply it once. This allows you to take more of the nice utility talents, like typhoon, innervate, and ursol's vortex. There are a few packs where the mobs won't live long enough for Rake spam (think the spiders in Black Rook Hold), but a lot of packs have 3-4 mobs with similar thick health bars (think of the captain + runeweaver packs in Waycrest Manor).
    These logs also show a lot of rejuv spam, and I think top resto druids blanket the group before any big aoe from any boss or mob.
    Also -- if you cast lifebloom or another spell that requires human form from in cat form, it will cast the spell and shift you out of cat in the same global. I use macros for all of my spells so if I hover over an enemy, it uses a dps spell, and if I hover over an ally, it uses a heal spell. This way I don't have to manually form swap a ton.
    Again though, great video. You explained the balance between keeping hots up and being in cat form, as well as a great priority list for both dps and hps. A lot of newer resto players play reactionary instead of predictionary, which you covered very thoroughly.

    Thrash is very much worth pressing to keep the DOT up. Because of things like haste, liveliness and swarm a single thrash does 4-5x as much damage as a swipe as long as the target survives the 15 seconds for the DOT to run its course.
    Great intro to catweaving

      FWIW - not really. If you run Sims on raidbots you find out that Thrash is only worthwhile in very large target counts (like 8 or 9+ targets) and Swipe is even worse. As a practical matter your DPS will be pretty close to even in an M+ scenario if you just rake/rip/MF/SF as many targets as possible and the talent points you DO NOT spend on Swipe/Thrash add some nice tanky-ness. That said, you could go down the Swipe/Thrash line if you really want the melee kick (totally defensible depending on group composition). But I don't think it's worth it for DPS

    Awesome guide, just started healing a few days ago and already healing 18/19s. I have some Problems with my overall damage, but i guess at this keylevel its fine aslong as i can arrange mana management and keeping the group alive with like 40k dps overall :D thank you very much and keep up the good work :)

    The first thing you should say on every healer dps video is that if you ever let a dps die you'll likely not ever make up for that loss with your osn dps.
    Keeping the team alive is 5 levels of priority above dps

    Hi! Thanks for the guide! I only recently started playing resto druid (and healer in general lol) so catweaving seems a little difficult, but you made gave a lot of clear explanations so I might start. However, I have several questions:
    Does this build also work in raids or should i stick with the ramp healing? Do you use adaptive swarm on enemies or for healing on allies (and if so, do you do the whole apply adaptive swarm on someone that has 3 stack etc)? Would you reccomend any possible macros for noobs (i trying macroing nature's swiftness with regrowth, but would it be better to do it with convoke?)? Thanks!

    I took a break from r druid, but just now getting back into it. Did adaptive swarm get nerfed into the ground? I used to cast it on cool down and it felt like I'd get a lot of healing throughput from it, but if it looks like it's not even in the rotation on the resto druid wowhead page? Wondering your thoughts on it.

    Idk how tf you have time to do damage as resto. The minute I enter cat I feel like I’m behind on my hots and someone’s dam near dead

    • @LBNinja7
      @LBNinja7  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Some pull are just too damage intensive that you can't really get damage off yourself, but a lot of pulls you can set up most of your healing in the first few seconds, swap to cat form for a few seconds while you ride all those hots out, then swap back to reapply them. It definitely takes dungeon knowledge and practice though!

    • @NicholasColaiacovo
      @NicholasColaiacovo 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @gabrieleponti4433 I'm not saying it can not be done, but there are many factors that contribute to what you are saying. For instance, my holy paladin can do that much dps. The problem the classes in the dungeon group can change this. If no5 enough kicks or self-sufficient heals are there, you will be doing more hps and losing dps. Something has to be sacrificed.

    I absolutely HATE how healing is in Dragonflight. There is far far far to much healers have to do in mythic +. Next expac we will be expected to tank as well. Why not? deal with all the kick? sure. deal with all the aspects? ya, that too. Everyone wants a carry. Trying to do 10s with people that have veteran gear on and flame me if I say anything. When aoe damage takes 60% of their health pool I dont have time to dps. I cant shift into cat and dps because the dps WILL die the moment I stop holding their hand.
