hearld is way more fun. Lighsmith ties you melee the entire fight, it was terrible, i been healing Hpally for 15 years. and herald gave you the ability to move and dot up and heal with EF, Light smith is boring as hell, Might as well just main RET.....

Hay i keep watching vids like this one AND the question i keep asking is What RACE is the best one to play as a healer so far all you tell me is how to play different ways of healing and that is not what i need to know.

which healer would you say is "easy" to go with pugs? I just want to start this Season with m+ and thinking about to heal - i "just" want to hit ksm ^^

Could you post a short update? Things you mention in the video are changed when it comes what to do outside yu'lon ramping.

"smite spams dont reward you" more like they are removing the requirement to smite spam and making it so you just need to penance/mind blast and get the bender back as if you were smite spamming.. so that's good, but other changes to disc are concerning.. no idea how they will work in raid and if they will even be viable without rapture.. need a better way to spread/apply atonement and atonement needs to last longer

I brought this up in the community discord for holy paladins and was told "i'm pretty sure you are just a mistweaver in disguise". there was a lot of hate towards AC in that discord, I suspect promulgated by Ellismere who was complaining about having to use it in M+ and talking about how tempered in battle needs a nerf

Was this written before mistweaver became meta? It’s currently just under disc.

I'm probably in the minority, but I hate AC paladin. It seems clunky to me to just turn into a MW for a short cd and then go back to having to cast again. I also hate what they're doing in turning hpal into a caster. I wanna sit in melee, do dmg and proc some healing (ala judgement, hammer etc..) but otherwise I wanna be throwing instant cast shocks, wogs and instant procced HL's etc.. I should rarely if ever have to hard cast spells. This is what first attracted me to try hpal back in DF s1/2. I've never been bothered with title etc.. but I played hpal through DF up to around 3.3k+ but this season i hit 2.7k, did my 11s and basically ditched it for my MW. It's gutting as I love hpal but, it's such a struggle to do anything on it and it seems confused as to what type of healer they want it to be. As said, to me, it's a melee healer that does dmg to build resources and casts instant cast heals on your party. Leave the 'does melee dmg to heal' to monks, as they do it far better. (as in the playstyle makes more sense)

Last few seasons the older dungeons were the most popular. Maybe its time to realize that there are too many mechanics and too many things to watch.

I will probably main mistweaver this upcoming season, I’ve been resto druid since 2007 and I wanna try to switch things up . I enjoy PREsvoker too but in mythic plus it feels like a pain, if people don’t stand in front of you your heals feel weak.in mythic plus people seem to not know how to position themselves with certain healers and it’s something I wish more people spoke about .

The mastery change is ONLY a buff. except the talent that offers 3 mastery stacks for LB, makes that talent weaker but the mastery % will still be stronger overall. Giving it a 30% bonus just with the first HOT?! HUGE buff to shock healing which is our weakness. It just diminishes how stacking works we don't know how much the diminishing returns is for each HOT, but it says " This scaling will still always make it a bonus to have additional heal over time effects on targets." I'm really excited about these changes, I feel these are all huge wins. Always love your opinions, I appreciate your hard work.

Disc Priest changes are absolutely ballin' bro. Some of the best changes they've made to it in years. I get that it's strong the way it is, but it's also so damn boring.

holy priest will be meta if it goes live like this, it is already one of the highest dps healers, plus PI, if shadow is not meta, holy will be.

If the 15% healing buff from Disc works on Divine Aegis that will be kinda crazy

Personally I quitted Holy pala because I wanted meaningful casts and holy light/flash of light were tresh. I'm for caster pala like it was in Wotlk

for anyone who loves both mistweaver and brewmaster, I feel for you. love both classes and always stuck at bottom on either one of them since their roles conflict with each other. doesnt help the dev for brewmaster is always drunk and doesnt work, but I am happy the one for mistweaver has sobered up a bit.

Disc priest main - losing Void Summoner for Smite *really* sucks. Having void fiend out for every pull was really fun, losing it feels like a huge step back to smite spam, which wasn't ever fun. I appreciate Divine Procession coming back and I dont mind losing Rapture at this point, but Void Summoner and other cooldown reductions really made disc fun and rewarded you for setting up your DPS well. I get that Disc outshone other heals this patch cycle but this isn't the way to address it.

Re: Holy Paladin, 100% agree. I was hesitant to play AC, but when I tried, it was my main the whole TWW, and it might even be better than MW! Similar levels of fun, similar downsides (little healing when not in melee). I hate that they have to touch HPal, don't understand why. They always have to mess up the good things. If it turns out to be caster paladin, I'll main monk next season.

I haven't played mw monk since MOP. This video helped a lot so much passive stuff going on was hard to my resto shaman brain to understand without a video.

I think unless something changes with the dps situation, monk wont be viable next season. Simply put the big dps winners are mostly casters (fire mage almost surely being meta) so a caster comp is quite likely (boomie and ele both looking very strong, aug still numerically looking strong, flameshaper deva looking strong) so monk might bot bring a raid buff to keys next patch

A lot of the holy changes are super welcome but if the PTR build stays how it is, its really awkward. I guess it depends how strong certain spells end up being, cuz it feels like there is now a war between divine image and answered prayers. The naruu version cast of PoH is pathetically weak so that may be dropped in raids, but its still good with Heal/Flash Heal/PoM. And if you go answered prayers you have to give up 1 or possibly 2 points into the new talent that buffs holy words by 40%. They also said something about Renew builds but Renew heals for so pathetically little, spending 3 talent points to make it weak instead of pathetic just isn't a good play. They also removed 2 avenues for generating Renew for free, and nerfed Preemptive Care so idk what thats all about. Maybe they think the 30% buff to Holy Mending will excite people but newsflash that talent heals for like 30k in a word where people have 6 mil health, and its CONDITIONAL. it would need a 2000% increase tbh to be viable, but even then it would still kinda be bad cuz Renew isnt worth casting on its own, its duration is shorter so its harder to prep, and Benediction (the best way to get free Renews) is still a miserable 12% proc chance. Idk dont get me wrong I am happy for what they have done but theres just a few things that im kinda ???? about.

Really depends how often it procs. A free heal is a free heal but it seems to try and integrate into the toolkit of the classes, which i like, but just seems really weak. Like especially for shaman and holy priest. But I can imagine Blizzard doesn't want all 4-5 healers in a raid to have Insurance on 8 people each, so the moment anyone drops low they instantly get a bunch of heals. Maybe they can code it to act like raid CDs that have a reduced effect beyond 5 people so that its more helpful in m+ while not dominating in raids.

I might switch to MW for S2, for the raid at least. Yeah MW for raid and Disc for keys. I play Holy Priest in raid and I'm not really a fan, but it looks way better in these changes. I actually rather would play current Disc in the raid over current Holy because of PWB, shields and the AOE burst ain't bad.
